Any developer working on an Android 11 rom for this model? Thanks a lot.
If you have a linux running, it is very easy to compile it yourself.
There are commits in lineage-18.1 branch of universal7580 device tree, mostly from Danny (@danwood76), who is a device maintainer for Exynos 7580 devices:
https://review.lineageos.org/q/project:LineageOS/android_device_samsung_universal7580-common
So yes, there's work done. Most likely only Danny can provide some progress statement.
That said, LineageOS 18.1 was released on 1st April and so it's perfectly natural, that many devices are still on 17.1 builds.
I assume, there are some chances for official 18.1 builds within the next months.

Hi,
The LineageOS 18.1 bring up is complete for all of the exynos 7580 devices. We are all quite busy at the moment so the final review/testing has not been finished yet, no idea when we will complete it but it shouldn't be too long.
Kind regards,
Danny

Just wondering about if this rom is available for my Galaxy J7
I will give you some questions back:
1. What is the exact devicename (codename) ? We use the devicenames for building (eg. shamu for Nexus 6) and I don't know what exactly every device on the word has what codename, so I need this to answer your question
2. Is your device supported by cm-12.1 ?
My Device information
Baseband Version is J700HXXU1AOJ5
Kernel Version is 3.10.61-755431
Build Number is LMY48BJ700HXXU1AOJ5
SE for Android Status is SEPF_SM-J700H_5.1.1_0018
And about cm 12.1 my device is not supported
I writed all these things because i don't know my device devicename(codename)

No CM builds for it, no xda device forum for it.

Sorry, aber if CM doesn't build, we will not be able to, too because we rely on their device and hardware trees.
We are only a very small team and don't have the capacity to develope complete new device trees
Cm12 is being developed for samsung j7h&f models follow this thread

Well it's okay
I can wait for your rom :good:

Hello agin !
Did someone spoke that what I found on Google ?
Someone already started working on Lineage OS 14.1 to bring it to Axon 7
Link: http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/zte-axon-7-lineage-14-1-nougat-7-1-rom/
Someone know that guy ?

Looks very interesting, thanks!
The build is very experimental and nowhere near ready. Some bugs include, Sound, Camera, Wifi however it boots. I dont have a cyanogenmod account so i didn't post it there
What Gapps are you guys using for this?

ZTE said that they were going to do everything they could to help officially support Cyanogenmod on the Axon 7. Well, that project is now called Lineage OS. It would make me feel better if we could get an official response from ZTE. Otherwise, I'm just going to assume that they're just like every other Chinese manufacturer, and only care about releasing new phones instead of supporting older ones (I'm looking at you Huawei).

From what I recall, the agreement ZTE made was with an employee of Cyanogen. That person (who provided backing & assistance to the Cyanogenmod project) has since left the company, and Cyanogen Inc. has gotten out of the whole "community OS" aspect of the company, and closed Cyanogenmod up. The community that operates Lineage has no sort of ties to ZTE, nor business ties to another company (like Cyanogenmod was to Cyanogen Inc.).
ZTE did, however, send some files to the volunteer community team working on CM13. iirc, it wasn't all that helpful, but it was something at least...
LineageOS will officially support the Axon 7. Now only an early alpha is available with the typical problems of early versions, however an official support means a commitment. I contacted them to let them know that the ROM in the official page was for another device. They fixed it after a few hours with the LineageOS 14.1 v2016.12.30, they also told me that there will be more news on this device very soon.
Fingers crossed that very soon means this week. I can't believe the amount of love the one+ receives over our A7. We have dual speakers & an SD slot!!!

They don't...our Lineage support was done by a team member not even by me. Support for 14.1 is not true though. I'm the only person at the moment who has 14.1 in development. Although ZTE has nothing to do with Lineage support they have provided me code to help bringup N development.
Nice to hear that they are helping.

LineageOS officially supporting the ZTE Axon 7 doesn't mean ZTE is supporting LineageOS. There are dozens of devices supported by LineageOS without official support from their manufacturers. However the success of Nougat for this device will depend on the release of the kernel code by ZTE to everyone.

These are good, very good news. If ZTE is willing to share their code, even before the official release, custom ROMs will have a much quicker development time, less buggy, and more people will purchase this excellent device. ZTE seems to be learning the lesson.
I am looking forward to the development for this device and the ZTE Axon 7 mini.
Hope there will be a lot of alternative ROMs ... :good:
Thanks in advance to @Unjustified Dev

They is a ROM in dev section already. LinageOS 14.1. Released yesterday.
Builders thread only!!
Looking for pioneer compilers. I know I'm capable of bringing los 15.1 to kiwi but I lack the resources at this time to build.
For those who already have trees set up I can guide u through commits to make a successful compilation.
Use this thread for commits and compilation inquiries only!!
1. Check commits from los for same chipset on kernel and device config.
2. Trial build on your private tree before making commits to github.
3. Never post untested builds.
All the commits are out there. Our respective builders on los have so many other devices to build for.
I've pioneered lg and Samsung devices w help from @ShadySquirrel to unsuspecting platforms.

Great to see you guys trying, fantastic !

odds are yes, but its an old device and a crappy budget one so dont get your hopes up. i just got a 1+5t 128GB for $475 USD. i suggest you move on and find another device. the devs will probably succeed in porting Oreo but it will take along time since its not a very easy thing to do.
you should check in maybe every few weeks and if you really want oreo on this device, i suggest that you donate to the kind devs that develop for this device. btw, they do this for free so keep that in mind. cheers!

I'm going to start building ressurection remix both pie and oreo for the note pro 12.2 P900 and T900. However I don't have the device at the moment. I'm looking for testers as I don't have the device so expect bugs and things to be potentially broken. I will be posting builds here and when things are more stable I will make a post in the development section. If you are interested please join the telegram group

Bless you:laugh: I'm pretty busy, but I'm willing to try when I can and give feedback. I've got a P900 wifi with twrp 3.1.1. Lineage 14.1 rooted with magisk.
That's great news.
Got a P900 v1awifi now running with TWRP 3.3.0-0, LOS 14.1 unofficial plus Magisk and nano Gapps.
I also have a P900 and I could test your builds from time to time.
Thanks a lot!!!!
will test, but at this point, focus only on pie, and at one device at once, but thanks for your efforts man
When will the ressurrection pie for samsung p900 be release here?

Thanks everyone who replied. I will try and get my hands on a device as soon as I have the money however I am an unemployed student on the plus side at least I have time to build . Pie would be simply amazing. All the sources are there so when i get time I will start building. I'm really jealous of the IPad pro on the IOS side so this is the next best thing. Pity there are no more really big android tablets to replace the note pro though. But if I can build pie it dosen't matter anyway. Once RR works and is stable I might start building some other Pie roms like Lineage OS 16 or AOSP Extended
Add me to the list of testers.

i also have an P900 wifi tablet, want to add me to test branch
This is indied the only large android tab out there ^^ hope it can survive a few years extra with pie update

I will build as soon as possible hopefully by weekend. I first need to fix my broken unbootable manjaro(linux) system once that is done I'll start building. I hope to get the first unnoficial build up by monday. Fixing bugs will be interesting as I don't have the device and I'm new to android development . It's also end of semester and I have deadlines that need to be met. I'll do my best though. I will post the testing builds on this thread I'll setup a telegram or discord where people can report issues.
I have a P900 running Lineage 14.1 (not sure what version of TWRP).
Anyway I am willing to be a tester.
I am not familiar with generating logcats (or any other logging software) but I am willing to help.
I'll test. P900
I would like to participate as well. As I see so far, I would be the only one for the T model
p900 pie please
Sorry guys the build has been pushed back till next week anyone interested in being a tester feel free to join my telegram group I have setup. I will release builds on xda as well as on the telegram channel. Any questions feel free to ask on telegram rather than XDA. Ressurection remix Unnoficial by minilandl

Hi everyone, I decided to develop LineageOS 17.1 and OrangeFox recovery for Nokia 6 for personal use. Anyone interested?
EDIT:
Hi guys, I apologize for my absence but I have been busy with my life and work. The project is going well, I have removed several errors due to the source code of the device
LineageOS build will be 18 with Android 11, get ready! I need your support to continue
sure, why not I was waiting to someone to make custom rom (A10+) for this device for so long. glad that your developing this for us. thank you very much! goodluck~ ?
Yeah. We are waiting for custom roms for this device. Good luck. Happy compiling. ?
I'd love to have android 10 on my Nokia 6! Are you targeting the 2017 Nokia 6, or the newer 6.1? I'd love to help but I don't know much about android roms/rom porting. I have a TA-1033 as my daily driver, so I could test builds on that (if they don't brick my phone :^) ). Good luck!
yes of course we're interested with your initiative! looking forward on your progress & good luck!
Count me in!
Nokia 6 TA-1025 (2017) and I'm all in!
Count me in too, can't wait for the first beta version, im using Nokia 7 TA-1021.
Of course, OP! In the EOL of device, what would be better than a custom ROM support. Good luck in your development, OP.
P.S.: I suggest checking pirrat25's PLE device tree to start. They got things already working there.

Yes, very much interested. Looking forward to your custom ROM! Please keep us posted always.
Hello, during the lockdown I've tried to port Lineage OS 17.1 to our device, unfortunately after the build process I wasn't able to make it boot successfully.
The source trees that I used are on Github.
Device tree: https://github.com/sguerrini97/android_device_nokia_PLE
Vendor tree: https://github.com/sguerrini97/android_vendor_nokia_PLE
Kernel tree: https://github.com/sguerrini97/android_kernel_nokia_msm8937
This was my first attempt ever to port a custom ROM on a device so I may have done some simple mistakes that some more experienced developer can spot
I cannot dedicate too much time on this project right now but I will be glad to help if somebody wants to keep this going.

FYI: 4PDA links are prohibited on XDA forums
If I'm being honest, the Nokia 6 2017 is one of the best mid range phones out there and it is sad that only one developer is taking interest in this phone. I think it's because of the robust bootloader and more. Yes, Nokia messed up so bad on the Android Pie update. WE NEED MORE DEVELOPERS ON THIS DEVELOPMENT.
Any updates about project?
