Hello, I have a Redmi 2 with CM13 and TWRP 3.0.2-0. I'm trying to flash MIUI stock and MIUI8 roms and it's giving me an "Error 7" message. The funny thing is, these are all ROMs that I installed before. The device identification is "HM2014819", and the error informs me that those images are for "HM2014811" and "wt88047", but I've double-checked and those are all for my cellphone model.

I have had this error before. The thing is Lollipop + TWRP 3.0.2 is a bad combination together. I was able to resolve the problem by flashing Kitkat based MiUI 7 in Fastboot mode and then installed TWRP 2.8.6. Now everything works like a charm!
Let me know if you need any help.
I have tried many times to install the ROM CyanogenMod 12.1 on my galaxy J5 j500m more without get the error '' could mount filesystem devblock / bootloader ... in such file directory '' something written not remember right message, already tested several versions different cm old and new versions and other models without the j500m, already tried to install on my adb sideload too, but all I get this error a long time already managed to perform this installation but now I can no longer

I used the CM12.1 by nick verse and it was good. Try re flashing the stock rom then the recovery before you flash CM12.1

I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 2015, SM-J500F. I successfully flashed TWRP and installed Lineage 14 over my stock Android 6 (or 5, I don't remember) over 2 years ago. I thought that I could move to Lineage 15.1 as it's already 2019 and the OS is stable right now.
I successfully flashed TWRP 3.2.1 on my device using Odin (I unchecked auto reboot option since I read that it causes some troubles). However, when I try to boot into TWRP recovery mode (Vol UP + home + power), the Samsung logo appears but after a while, it disappears and nothing happens, there's just black screen. When I take out the battery and put it back in and power the device on, as usual, I can still boot into Lineage 14. In developer options, I checked Advanced Restart and USB Debugging.
Anyone had a similar issue?

Wrong bootloader and modem.
You have lollipop (android 5) you need marshmallow (android 6)
All you need to know is here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...5-1-1-bootloader-modem-j500xx-t3566801/page15

Oh, now I remember... When I was flashing Lineage 14 over 2 yrs ago, for some reason (maybe I understood smth wrong on xda) I had to downgrade from stock Android 6 to 5 in order to be able to do it. Now, Lineage 15.1 requires firmware of Android >= 6.0 but it cannot be provided by custom ROM, only by stock ROM upgrade. Does that mean that I have to go back to stock 6.0 ROM in order to upgrade the firmware and then flash Lineage 15.1?
Btw I read the thread you linked and can I ask what does exactly mean "to flash a marshmallow bootloader"? Do you mean some specific TWRP version?

Instead of flashing the whole stock rom you just need the bootloader and modem which is required by the rom to boot up. Its not twrp or anything its just how the device boots. Just flash the bootloader and modem from the instructions on that thread then boot back to twrp and flash the rom and gapps again
HI,
I want to install custom rom on my redmi note 4G(dior) but failing every time,
I downloaded more than 12 rom , specially designed for my device but only 2 of them get flashed, namely, Official MIUI rom and Resurction remix and other 10 roms fail everytime i install
Some say error:Unknown Command[log]
some say error in updater binary [tried every fix of removing/editing "assert and all that" but still fail]
some say error installing zip: name.zip
some fail without any error just say failed
I am using Twrp recovery,
the magical part is that if i download ressurction remix rom even that does not flash, only thr rom i have get flashed
It look like someone spelled on all other roms
So i here request you to provide me a solution(A tried almost every on the internet)
and also "Request developer to develope a rom for my device just like pixel experience as pixel exerience do not support my device"
I will be very thankful to you:angel:
Hi,
I have recently decided to move my FIG-LX1 to Android 10 (previously using LineageOS 16.0), and after moving to LineageOS 17.1 (apparently unstable) and trying to install AOSP instead I seem to have screwed up something. I didn't manage to run the AOSP, but after playing around in recovery and fastboot, flashing ROMs via TWRP stopped working properly. Every time I try to flash any ROM using TWRP it shows "E1001: Failed to update system image" and "Updater process ended with ERROR: 7". AFAIK this error is connected to the device check and indicates that the ROM is not suitable for my device, but these are the same ROMs (i. e. LineageOS 16) i have previously installed with no problem (they are definitely compatible with my phone). I have also tried multiple TWRP versions (3.2.1, 3.3.1, 3.4.0) with no luck.
I have searched for this error a lot, but it's usually been connected with flashing on invalid devices, which is not the case here.
I would be grateful if someone could help me fix this error.
Thanks in advance!
