First time installing crDroid to your Redmi Note 5/Redmi 5 Plus, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Yes! You can flash any GSI.

What a pity camera doesn't work... What about speed and battery life?

So the correct steps are:
Install recowery treble / complete cleaning / installation rom / gaps / magisk / reboot.:good:
Or can you use another recovey? if it is not remove the link recovery 3.2.1.0. because it is supposed to be already installed.

Camera doesn't work at all including third party apps.

For installing this ROM, we can use any recovery. For installing GSI, we need Treble recovery.

What do you mean by GSI? new firmware?
At this point you can update firmware before installing rom because recovery TWRP 3.2.1.0 (official) allows the installation of new firmware.
I apologize for many questions but it is to clarify everyone.

Use the latest official TWRP i.e. 3.2.x for flashing ROMs. And for flashing treble GSI, use treble supported recovery. Links in OP!

Did you see the OP post ? It stated clearly that EVERYTHING is WORKING. Try it by yourself before posting "not so useful" replies like this. Don't want to lose all of your data ? Google for "Nandroid backup". Tinker with it or instead use MIUI

Yeah. There is no specific option to enable/disable volte. The only option is to change the carrier network....I tried to change the carrier network and tried to reboot but still didn't work.

Using it since yesterday. Im really impressed Sir. Maybe it gets my favourite Rom
Didnt found serious bug so far. Used Pico Gapps for install. And Migrate for restore User Apps. Magisk 18.1 is working too.

Why is this ROM asking for the a decryption password when there isn't one ? And when I enter any password it says it is the right password but does not unlock but wants to reset phone ??

Trying this one out because of DeltaOTA
i always have problem with magisk after a short time period, i lost magisk root and can't get it back no matter what i do with other rom, hope this one won't have the same problem.

Ummm im not an expert, but its something about the format of the storage of urs I guess, happened to me too. You just have to save your files on your phone(if you want to see them again) and format the storage and ur good to go

I dont face heating problem. If so i wont use this rom. I accept much, but no heating issue.
I do just normal things too. No gaming. And i have 8-9 h sot. Maybe your heating issue come from a app? Got that one time..but long ago.

Yes this happens sometimes. But not only on this Rom. Do not reboot.Turn your phone off . And then boot back to system. Root must work again then. It worked on every Pie Rom for me if root was lost.
I know its not the Final Solution but...who cares lol
Edit: If it really dont work after flash Rom, flash magisk again in Recovery and turn phone off. Then boot again to sytem.

Note: GApps only has to be flashed once and on non gapps buildwhereas Magisk/Su is to be flashed every time you Dirty Flash the OTA Update.

I tested this ROM, the wifi don't work for me
I don't have a problem with Miui 11 and 12, and crDroid ROM, but with the Mokee Blue same problem.

Bugs I found in the official build (06-26)
1. WiFi cannot turn on. I have to flash the latest developer firmware for it to turn on.
2. Going in settings>display>colors. There is no option to change (natural as default) to vivid. Screen is somewhat yellowish for my taste
3. Cannot flash using SHRP (please confirm). Error message is :zip treble compatibility error
Invalid zip file format
I have to use a different custom recovery.
Can't say about battery life as of now as I have been using this for like 3 hrs. ROM smoothness is good though

As for WiFi problem. Try to update the firmware (latest one)
Because this Official ROM doesnt include firmware

Yes, this ROM doesnt include firmware so flashing latest one fix the problem.
For the second, thanks for the finding, i'll report to the dev.
You can flash with any custom recovery. As if its show error just delete compatibility.zip inside the flashable zip

thanks, the latest firmware fixed the Wi-Fi issue

Smart charging is not working. And also, the actual digit is not shown. Only the first digit followed by dots(ex. 7..).

As for now smartcharging not included/ touched. It's still buggy for Sirius according to the Dev.
