The Top Free Android Apps

Hi folks,
I've posted about this in the Hero forum some time back, but I'm rocking the Desire now and I hope that you might have use for it as well. I've tried to gather the top free apps Android has to offer, with descriptions, links back to the developers' websites, QR codes and hands-on videos. It's currently more than a 100 apps divided in 11 categories, and I always try to keep the list up-to-date.
What do you guys think of it? Any ideas on how I can improve the guide? Did I miss to include any great apps?
Here's the URL if you want to check it out:

nice
Nice list, i really liked Buzz Deck and issuu
Have made some major updates to the top free Android apps guide, and it now includes the best widgets and live wallpapers as well. There are of course some good apps missing, but it should be pretty complete and up-to-date.
Running isn't the only form of working out.
JEFit is a fantastic weight lifting application.
VPlayer is a great video player for playing non-native video formats and is vastly superior to rockplayer.
Colornote is a good notes application.
Movies is fantastic if you're into cinema.
thnx 4 ur effort=)
found a few nice apps, also saw some I already had.
thanks
Great idea, thanks. I honestly read these and find them helpful from time to time, which says a lot since I ignore the vast majority of typical low quality internet publications in general.
Nru is another AR app similar to Layar.

Reported due to linking to a video of a warez app, to glorify it. Any website/app/software etc. that provides people to get paid apps for free is prohibited in this site.

[Q] App Review By XDA

Hi,
I am new to android development and recently published my app MiniRead on google play store. Now I'm looking out for some app review/feedback. I've read in another forum that we can get our apps reviewed from xda but I couldn't find how to submit to xda for review?
Can anybody help me out on this?
Please note that I've already tried other free app review sites and submitted my app to them but I've not got any reply from them. So I'm looking out for some genuine stuff.

Good luck on that, buddy.
I am finding it hard to get someone to write reviews for my apps.

if you really want to get your apps known by tons of people, you can take advatange of social media. But if you really want to target your audience, you'd better coorperate w/ digital advertising company~

[Q] Best Way to Promote Your App?

What is up xda community? I submitted a recent application to the Google Play Store and Amazon and it is now published to both stores. My app was published just a few days ago but I cannot seem to get any freaking downloads! I get maybe 1-2 a day and I have been trying to market it like crazy. The app is PocketMath. There are two versions, PocketMath Free and PocketMath AD-FREE. I have a Google Blogger associated with App, a website, a facebook page, a twitter, a tumblr, a rebelmouse, posts on both craigslist and reddit promoting my app, and I've tried to cotact and go through App review sites and none have gotten back to me (I emailed like 12!). But anyways if any of you could help me that would be excellent. Any advice or tips is appreciated, but if you have no answers for me (like I do because I'm completely lost) feel free to download my app on the Google Play Store or on Amazon and leave a review. Since I'm not allowed to post links yet, you'll have to manually go to Amazon or Google Play to download it (A pain, i know, but please just do it )
Thank You:good:

[Q] Which app stores are best for spreading the word

Hi guys,
I`m trying to promote my app through various app stores. I`d like to do the best I can. Which stores should I use? It is a free lifestyle app about astrology and feng shui. I`m using Google Play and App Store and I`d like to upload it to GetJar, SlideME and maiby AppBrain as well. Are there any other options? Or if there is any marketing guru, could you help me please? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! :cyclops:
Appstores for promotion
Try Amazon appstore and 1mobile market.
As for marketing you app, here is a guide that might be helpful:
1. Before app release
2. During app release
3. After app release
I recommend theandroidgalaxy.com, a good website for android app reviews.
I have heard good reviews about GetJar - will be testing it soon myself...

[Q] I Created a great app but don't know how to promote it!

Hi I recently published an app on google play but I’m not sure how to promote it.
I have spent 7 months developing it and now I’m trying to reach wider audience, I tried to promote my app on admob but it did not get the amount of installs. are there advertising options better than admob for my app and can you suggest any?
My app is called Smart Booster I posted the apk file.
I would like to share my experience with you..
Our company have developed many apps including Android and iOS.
At the first stage of our promotion,we choose Facebook ads.But unfortunately,Facebook only drove a very small amount of audience. Then we tried google display ads,.Google will show your picture ad on the relevant sites after you set the key words. The result is much better than FB ads.We are inspired and keep looking for more ways to promote our app.
I came across an app review site : Bestreviewapp(you can use google to find it) from another forum somewhere.Like most devs,I think such site is unbelievable and useless ,but I still wondered whether it really works. So I registered as a reviewer first,to see what it looks like.I saw many apps listed there for me to download and review, and they paid me real money after I reviewed and rated the app.A few days later,I have completed about 10 app reviews as a reviewer,I decided to try their service as developer for my own app.I ordered 30 reviews from US app store from them, got 24 5-stars and 6 4-stars.During the campaign ,I noticed my daily sale was increasing.I got double downloads than before. As they also recommend my app on their social media:Facebook, twitter and Google+.I think these also helps my app gaining more exposure.
Now I keep cooperation with them and I also review other developers' apps now and then.
