animation

Is there such a way that I could get transaction animation in switching between apps like other os?
Yes by using Cyanogen Mod 7 in Android
The OP said "like in other OS's" so I believe they already knew they could do this with Android. They are asking about Windows Mobile.
So,why not give him an option rather than criticising my reply.... ?

I was just pointing it out is all, in case you had missed it. I don't know of any app or tweaks that will give them what they want is why I did not give an option if I did I would have. I was not criticizing your response though please do not take it that way.
lololol.....
if you are talking about windows mobile, i THINK (really can't remember for sure) that the task switcher i used back in the windows mobile days (called "task facade") did some rudimentary animation when switching between running apps. however, i don't think it had any capability to apply the same animation effects when LAUNCHING an application from the quick links or from the start menu.
another option to consider within the windows mobile world is using "advanced config" to enable "menu animation" and "window animation" provided by windows mobile itself. i think these animations are typically disabled by default because they are kind of jerky and slow on most windows mobile phones, probably because the windows mobile UI is not hardware accelerated (to the best of my knowledge).
Ha I had forgot about Task Facade, I guess thatcis because I never got it to work lol. Here fiscal link to a page where you can check out and download thecl cab files for both Task Facade and 3D Alt Tab which are two animation type apps to change between running apps. Sorry I had forgot about both of them. Never got 3D Alt Tab working either, but both look cool.

@T-Macgnolia - Explanation accepted,no worries..
There are animations with Winstart, which is a Windows Start menu replacement,
but only as you open various folders and such like.

K8V Doze

I've searched for a better place to ask this, but cannot for my specific phone.
If this belongs somewhere else, please advise, and accept my apologies.
My wife has an LG K8V with 6.0.1 same as my LG G5. However, mine shows the "ignore optimizations" option in the battery settings and hers does not. This phone is killing some apps I don't want it to. And memory locking apps don't work because they get killed too.
Is there a way to disable Doze for certain apps on this phone when I don't have the ignore optimizations feature? I also enabled and checked developer options, I don't see anything right off hand.
Thanks in advance.

Closing Idle apps on Screen off

Hi,
It has been a while since I have been able to play with custom ROMs as my previous phone was not well supported.
I have just now switched over to the Axon 7 and have just started setting it up as my daily driver. I Installed NucleaROM with LIGHT PATCH, Open GApps and ARISE Sound System. All seems to be working fine but I have one issue and I think it may be a feature from not just the Custom ROM of choice but the underlying source (ResurrectionROM/LineageOS).
When I first setup the phone, it had an option on the lock screen to customize how apps are closed (i believe the term was Smart Close) when the device is idle and the screen is off. I remember looking through it and having options for which apps are closed and which are to remain running.
Since then I have installed a collection of apps, one of which is the Garmin Connect which I need to run when the screen is off.
I am unable to find how to get to these options now. I have looked through the power options and cannot see it.
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your assistance.
As I have started to use the phone a little more I have noticed that this is having another effect.
It seems to be closing my keyboard app so every time I unlock it goes back to the stock keyboard and I need to select SwiftKey again.
I hope someone knows where these settings are.
I have found a workaround for now, but if anyone knows how to control the SmartBattery application, it would be greatly appreciated.
I believe this function is coming from the System App called Smart Battery. I have gone into Settings -> Apps then selected the menu to show system apps. From there I was able to locate the SmartBattery app and disable it.
This seems to be working for me as by Garmin Fitness tracker was losing BlueTooth to the phone before but not now with that app disabled.
I'm not entirely positive about this, as I've never heard of that app. At first, I thought you were talking about the screen lock cleaning feature from the power manager on stock. After your follow up post indicating you had actually found reference to the app on your system and a bit of Googling, I was able to find some reference to it. Nothing useful, I'm afraid.
Try using an app that can launch activities, like Nova Launcher or Tasker. Try to find the app in the list, and see if you can launch it by calling for one of its activities.
P.S., if you're running RR, if you have a look at the extended settings, there might be a way to set the nav keys long-press action to a custom activity. Remember to enable the app, otherwise it might not show up in any lists.

Best camere app for OP7T Pro ME?

Hi guys, i just realized that the camera app of this phone is really poor and lacks even basic options like selecting video/photo resolution/megapixels. Is there any modified version of the app that adds these options? If not what's the most recommended app to get the most out of this beasts camera?

Google camera can be a pretty good option, I also use filmic pro if you want to get full control of your camera.

I wanna say the the Google camera supports all three with a custom xml file. It can be found on xda under GCam.. I can't find it right now for whatever reason, but a quick Google search will get you there
How I just installed GCam

So here's how I just installed it on my 7tProMc5G.
First with Telegram installed, look for "GCam Finder [BOT]"
This is a menu driven space, at the bottom click "GCam Download", new buttons appear, select phone manufacturer (OnePlus) and phone (OnePlus 7/T/Pro)
Then you'll see instructions and buttons to download APK and XML. Download both. (You're now done with Telegram, but there is some good info in the FAQ.)
Once you've done that I went to the notification of the download and installed the apk from there, you might be able to install from File Manager.
Once that's done the apk is installed, but you want to add the xml. This will go into a specific folder, which can vary, so do the below to make it easier.
Open Gcam. It's just called Camera, but has a different icon from the OnePlus. (It recognized the three cameras, and seemed to work ok, but just in case I decided to install the downloaded xml.)
From the top of the viewfinder, swipe down to open the options (flash, hdr, etc.)
Click the little settings icon at the bottom of the options window.
Scroll to the bottom of the Settings and select Configs.
Click on Save and enter a save name, anything will work, you're just making a config so that GCam makes all the folders you need.
Now back out of the app and go to file manager.
Go to Download and find the .xml file, copy it to the clipboard.
Go up to Internal Storage and find the newly created GCam folder, and the Configs folder inside it (mine was called Configs7)
Put the downloaded .xml file in there, you should also see the one you just created.
Now go back to GCam and in the bottom area where the three buttons are, double-tap to the right of the "last picture" button. You should get a dialogue allowing you to load a config, choose the downloaded .xml.
When I did that the three "zoom" options changed, this will be based on which xml you download.
I checked and NightSight seemed to work, also while in NightSight scroll down from the top and Astrophotography gets turned on.
Kinda neat. I'm digging this phone, it's wicked fast. I bought it for the 12G RAM, I didn't even think 5G would work, seems to though.
I simply installed urynx05's lastest 2.3 Gcam on my unrooted 7t Pro Mclaren (I'm waiting for my unlock.bin) and all the cameras work without any issues. No need to use any xml's to get everything working, just enable the aux cams in settings. Just Google gcam urynx05 and the you'll find it.

How to stop disabled apps from running in the background?

Hi all,
I tried everything I could think of, to stop these apps from running in the background, disabled most of them in Settings, but they keep on popping up running in the background, when I run Optimize or just after I turn on internet (wifi/mobile data).
Please see screenshots
Apps: YouTube(though not used that day), Yellow pages (should not even run on global ROM and blocklist turned off), Blocked number storage (turned off in Settings), Emergency alerts (turned off in Settings), App Vault (turned off in Home Screen settings), Mi Coins (not used in global ROM, so should not even run), and some others.
II tried asking Xiaomi for help, but even though they promise to fix in next update nothing happens. I asked google for help with Emergency alerts, since its their app, they never reply.
Can you help?
Take in mind my phone is not rooted.
