If you want to give it to your kid, you do not need to keep your data and can do a factory reset. As long as your Google account is connected to the phone, you will have to enter your Google account password to verify that it's your device. Have you already tried to boot into recovery mode and wipe data from there?

S6 edge is locked and no finger print scanner comes

Hi everyone.. My friend has a galaxy s6 and accidently his phone is been locked by entering wrong password more than 10 times without using fingerprint scanner.. Now it ain't showing even the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone.. So is there any ways to unlock the phone without even losing the data ? I know the hard reset but he doesn't wanna loose all the data and numbers..

Nope. FRP if there to prevent exactly what you are trying to do.

thaks for the help...but a quick youtube video help me bypass it in 10 min...i guess google frp aint really good...thanks guys or should i say thanks xda http://www.xda-developers.com/rootjunky/
My FRP method this:
Phone G935A, used Firmware G935U (not AT&T bloatware)
Insert prepaid sim 0$, and 0mb internet, but LTE network...
Personalise phone start, and wifi not turn on. Google verification fail, and NEXT button active...
Personalise finish, and turn dev.opt on, oem unlock on, and add the google account.

Galaxy s7 edge g935f frp lock. Solution

So, I purchased a galaxy S7 (G935F) that turned out to be locked to a google account that the seller claims to have no details of. I have already paid for the phone and would not get the money back. I am now stuck with this phone that keeps on asking for the stupid google account details without which it would not let me use the phone. I have tried looking everywhere on the internet and came to the conclusion that I need to reset or bypass factory reset protection (FRP) in order for me to able to use the phone. Xda senior and expert my last hope to get solution here. I request to all expert pls help I love my phone and don't want to lost my phone.. last 3 month I am searching for this solution but no success. :crying:

No I think you need to add in more of your prints to the phone , but could also just be your phone. Try going into settings>lock screen and security>fingerprints and adding more in different positions. So don't just keep giving the scanner the same finger in the same position, change it up so that one scan will have the same finger in different ways
Hmm. That doesn't explain the pin part. Lol. It tells me incorrect pin when in fact it is. Might master reset it's wife phone. Personally, I think Nexus 6p fingerprint is so much better.

She could be not wanting you in the phone lol but a hard reset would help I'm sure
That's funny since my wife's phone did the same thing last week. Reboot fixed it. I have also setup her phone to automatically reboot once a week to possibly prevent this from happening again.
sounds like a fingerprint issue. I'd go in delete all the finger prints, then factory reset the device. If you factory reset the device before you delete the fingerprints you might just mess it up further.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Security - How failproof is it?

Hi, I was with my friends earlier and this guy kept saying how his S8 is much safer than all other droid phones due to the Samsung account thing. This got me thinking...
So by now we all know Google Lock aka FRP is easy to bypass. And I dare say Samsung lock can be bypassed the same way, although I got no knowledge in this.
Imagine he loses his device abroad and he gets both Samsung and Google locks wiped along with a recovery factory reset. Is there a way to track the phone via IMEI? Even in another country? Can he still use his samsung account to track it?
ull disclosure: I placed a few beers as a bet that I could make his phone clean within minutes if I had a USB cable and a laptop with internet connection, he agreed. Make me drunk boys.
