[Windows App] MTK droid tools v2.5.3

I don't have a Fire tab updated to the newest FireOS or a Windows machine to test this out, but supposedly it can root any mediatek device running up to and including lollipop. It doesn't specify which lollipop version, but it's definitely worth a try!! I hope this works for people stuck on 5.1.1 without root and fastboot! Could someone please test it out and report back....

they only have root if you update it manually. if the ota just automatically runs without your knowledge and you end up updated to 5.1.1, you're stuck there with no root, no fastboot commands, etc. you can boot to fastboot, i believe, but no commands will work.

That's not right any more.
Root for ota 5.1.1 was achieved by k4y0z during the week. http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/orig-development/root-t3272362
The updated supertool now roots, removes ads, blocks ota and changes launcher on 5.1.1 ota http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/development/amazon-fire-5th-gen-supertool-root-t3272695
Some brave people have even since used Flashfire to move onto SlimLp too, CM 12.1 doesn't work for some reason.

5.1.1 can now be rooted regardless of how you got 5.1.1.
But this might be useful for amazon's next FireOS update. Whenever that comes out..

Working pretty well, seems to be a little bit faster than MM

Feels snappier now. It also supports the "fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0" command now too, so its the perfect replacement for specialized Nexus 7 installs.

So uh... if I have root, what do I do to get it to nougat rooted?

The stability/cuts with WiFi is better in this new ota?

Flash with full version ota with FlashFire it'll inject root and keep the TWRP recovery all in one shot.

Question How can i use netflix and gpay after unlocking bootloader and installing magisk on my nothing?

I already have Magisk hide and also universal safety net fix. My phone passes the safety net but still can't download Netflix or use GPay. Also fingerprint unlock stop working

Question way to get google pay to work on 1.5.0 EEA BETA?

as title says, is there any way to get it back to working? Or do i need get back to 1.1.7 EEA? If so, is there any way or guide to do so? didnt got any backup from my prev version, is this even possible? or do i have to wait not?

Issue originates as CTS fails as it's a beta build.
I'm having exactly the same issue.
A work a round would be to root the phone and run a magisk module to spoof CTS passing, however if you don't want to do that (like me), just either revert to 1.1.7 or wait for 1.5 to be officially released.
Unsure whether it wil show up under OTA updates so just keep an eye on the forums for the update to drop.

Google Pay works here with 1.5 EEA beta like a charm.

In magisk you should use zygisk with activate the necessary google apps like play store and so on in the denial list.
Please don´t forget to clear the cache of the necessary apps like Play Store, wallet, and so on after the procedure and reboot. then you can activate your wallet and configure your credit cards and everything works.

It doesn't bother me yet that Google PAY-Wallet doesn't work.
I don't want and won't root to make it work for me.
The official registration form has been notified!
I still have a Watch with the Google PAY payment option.

Any beta release by default from any android is not expected to work Google Pay/Wallet , that;s the way Google decided
