Wizard doesn't ring anymore?!?

Have a strange prob with my QTek9100.. suddenly it doesn't ring anymore... no matter what kind of ring tones i set in the options, I only get silence instead of the sound. When selecting ring and vibrate i get alternating vibrate and silence.. I tried custom rings thru registry editing and standard ring modes from the phone options.. no change -- always silence...
Any ideas on how to fix this? currently I only hear that I had the phone call after I missed it and the missed call notification plays -- which is kinda stupid to only hear the phone after the call is missed
thanks...
Do you install a new bluetooth stack?
nope... didn't install anything really that i know of.. and definitely no system apps.
open Settings / Sounds & Notifications / Notifications and select event "Phone: Incoming call"
does pressing the play (right facing triangle) button play your ring tone? If not, try selecting another ring tone and try playing that.
could be ring tone is selected, but not available or incorrect format.
hope this helps.
if you have any audio player other than windows media player, you may find it has associated it self with all audio files?

How can I mute the ringtone for an incoming call?

Some time I receive a call, but I do not want either to reject or answer, simply mute the ringtone.
How is this implemented on P3600?
Cheers,
A2day
Turn the wheel on the left side and the phone will stop ringing.
Thanks a lot !
My problem was that I had RINGO installed (an application that allows to change the SMS sound).
With that application the wheel couldnt mute the sound.
Thanks for your help!

Lost Ringtone

Fellow Friends!
I need some help. I've lost my ringtone on my trinity. Not that I've lost the actual file, i'ts still there. When I enter Settings->Sound & Notifications, I can still Pre-listen/Define the ringtone but when I get a call theres no sound.
The same thing happens when my fon is set to vibrate, then it simply don't vibrate.
I have this idea that it may be some Regitry settings but i have no idea where to look?
Thanks

WinMo 6.5 - Can't change ringtone?

I recently flashed my Topaz to a 6.5 ROM, and I'm loving it. It's slick, smooth abnd fast. My only gripe is that no matter where I seem to put an MP3, I never have the option of choosing anything but one of the three default rings as a ringtone:
Ring01 - WindowsPhone
Ring02 - Velvet
Ring03 - Flame
They're all the same!!
Surely Microsoft hasn't locked this down?
"oh listen! someone's got a Windows phone! let's point and laugh and joke at them with their gay ringtone that can't be changed!"
Theres two ways you can set the ringtone.
First you can select the mp3 file and from the menu select "Set as Ringtone"
or
Copy the mp3 file to /my documents/my ringtones and then select it from the ringtone list as normal
I don't have the option on right click menu to 'Set as Ringtone'
Placing MP3 in that location does not show it in the list.
Could this be a Cooked ROM issue?
I am using TOM Topaz from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=526966
use file explorer, select and hold on the mp3 file, u will se options such as copy, paste and set as ringtones.
by the way " /my documents/my ringtones " this is the location in the device, not in SD card
Worked, thanks!
it's doesn't worked for me
I dont have "paste and set as ringtones", just only "pase" and just have 3 rings tone
Ring01 - WindowsPhone
Ring02 - Velvet
Ring03 - Flame
(
Someone helpme plz!
I use rw6828, ROM WM 6.5
Do you have a "/my documents/my ringtones" folder? What's in it? If you don't, create one and see if it makes a difference. Oh and "", to those who seem to think cooked roms are great and stable..
I've a similar issue... Rom in signature.
I've set a .mid file as ring. Anyway it's present in \my documents\suonerie. But it doesn't work. When I call it uses a different ring. And if I go into sound and notification settings I can't play that .mid for a preview, but it's playable with wmp...wazzup??
same problem with me I've made a folder on the sd card on my experia x2 named My Ringtones(this helped to put my mp3's there and the phone to recognize them as a ringtones) and when I enter my sounds and notifications it shows all the mp3 files I've put there and use as personalized rings and they work but sometimes when somebody call me my phone start ringing with some strange win mo default melodie(ugly SE melody) and I have to change it again with some of my own's but as u can guess it lasts just a few days and than the old story repeats........
any suggestions.....
Can't set ring tone for incomming calls
I loaded WM6.5 ROM on my Treo 750.
Everything is great except one issue...
... I cannot set the Incoming Call Ring Tone.
When I go into the options of the phone, it is set to "none".
I set it to "Vibrate and Ring", then set a ring tone.
When I save/exit, it reverts back to "none".
I tried mid ring tones, wma, and mp3.
I tried ring tone only and vibrate only also...
... But no matter what I set it to, it keeps reverting back to none.
It WILL NOT ring or vibrate on incoming calls.
The SMS, Voice Mail, Missed Call, and email notifications all work fine.
Oddly, when I go into settings, sound options, then notifications, the incomming call ring tone is set.
I can change it and it saves. But it has no affect.
And the options in the phone dialer still has "none" selected.
ANY Help would be great!
Thanks

Does the ring tone play in your settings?

Thank you for the reply!
Yes, it plays when I press the play button in settings.
Maybe you have an app with call profiles and the silent or mute one is activated. Something like Spb Phone Suite.
If you don't have another profile app installed, I would suggest a hard reset to fix the issue.

[Q] Phone won't save "None" Ringtone - reverts to Default

I have a stock Nexus 4, currently with Android 4.2.2. I haven't yet installed the new update.
One of my Contacts is "Block," to which I add incoming calls that I want to block, such as telemarketers. When I set it up, I changed the ringtone for that contact to "None," so that it would not ring, or rather, that I would not hear the ring.
Today I learned that the device will not save "None" as a ringtone choice. I change the ringtone to None and click OK, but when I check the ringtone again, it has reverted to the default.
When I tested the function by changing the ringtone to the next option on the list, "Andromeda," it retained that setting. The problem appears to be isolated only to the ringtone "None."
I would appreciate any suggestions how to get it to save that ringtone, or alternately, how else to banish unwanted callers. Many thanks.
Maybe create a custom ringtone with nothing but silence, copy it your phone, and use that as a default for the blocked calls?

Thanks. I was thinking of a version of that - creating a silent custom ringtone and renaming it to one of the ringtones that functions (like Andromeda or whatever), which I don't use anyway. I think I'll try your way first.
There's always the coward's way out - if I get too frustrated I'm just going to reset everything to factory default and start adding apps again slowly.
Thanks! Season's greetings :good:

HI,
Can you just send that person or entry straight to voicemail instead of worring about the ringtone? Usually telemarketers wont leave voicemail.
