I have the Samsung Note 20 Ultra (sm-n986u, US variant)
Once the bootloader is unlocked via the paid service (sampwnd), is the rooting process and files same as described by Dr. Ketan, in the other post ([Guide] How to root N20 Ultra (N986B)(N9860))
Just looking for some guidance before I head down the rooting rabbit hole and pay the unlocking fee.
My goal is to enable call recording.

Thank you for asking this. I am constantly thinking about using this unlock service as well. I have already got my DID etc. I just would like to see more custom rom support and more custom roms developed first. I would love to see Lineage OS or Havoc OS

In light of the emerging Vault 7 dumps, I have begun to wonder if any of the CIA's leaked Android tools could be used to gain or exploit root access/ allow a custom boot loader to be installed on the AT&T G5. If anyone with programming know-how would look into this I'm sure many of us would be interested in any possibilities that might emerge from this avenue.

I will grab a look.. maybe I could end up with some info .
BTW - anyone tried requesting AT&T to release the flashabe version for LG G5?

Yes, I have been asking them for months. I just reminded them we're still waiting last week.
So far, AT&T's employees have been less than accommodating on this front. Some of them have given deceptive answers/ or appear to be unknowledgeable as to the nature of flashing a device.
My phone install SYSTEM, RECOVERY, BOOT mod error
I want root N935f, please help

You're not the only one, same for me and some other Note FE SM-N935F/DS users...
Seems like that only the Korean variant doesn't have this problem as they can just flash the standard TWRP without problems.
Anyone able to boot back to main screen without flashing stock ROM?
So there's no working root method yet for N935F/DS. Seems we have to wait for a year? Hope not. I like their phones but I hate Samsung!

Are your next 10 posts going to be the exact same as this one & the three preceding it?
Try reading the existing threads before posting identical questions/threads, it's not as if there's a lot to catch up on.......

Hello,
I've been looking forward to root my Redmi Note 7 for some time and I'm having some trouble with the unlock procedure. This is what I get in the developer option for unlocking:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So naturally, I tried to reset the phone following their instructions: nothing changed, same problem.
Any ideas to get around with this?
Look I guess you have to remove your account then add it again and do backup

Read and follow carefully this guide to unlock the bootloader: [All-in-One] Redmi Note 7 (lavender): Unlock Bootloader, Flash TWRP, Root, Flash ROM | XDA Developers Forums – https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...bootloader-flash-twrp-root-flash-rom.3890751/
So I'm stuck on a S7 a friend gave me while I wait for my OnePlus to get here, and I was shocked to find out there are no roms for the ATT version of the phone. Apparently cause none of them come unlocked? However in developer options on my phone OEM Unlocking was available, I clicked it and it says it was successful. Is there more to this that I'm not getting? Did I end up with a once in a blue moon OEM unlocked ATT S7?

The Samsung S7 from AT&T can't be OEM unlocked and maybe will never be.

You have to flash the ENG_BOOT file. You will need to know what bootloader version you are on. It is explained there.
I am running a T-Moble version on my ATT phone and works fine.
