2) auto lock by shift from P
3) auto lock by shift to P
Please help me before installing this head unit
These all by default working in my car how to set this in this head unit pls help thanx
I think it requires a working OBD connection of some sort. If you hook up a diagnostic device to the OBDII port, you can access these options and make changes. So in theory, it should work the same way with the headunit. It’s a little mistery at this point since none of the resellers/manufacturers have any documentation on this.

Using Android Head Unit as Android Car "Car"

Hello mates,
maybe it's a stupid question, but I couldnt find a solution yet. Hoping for your help.
Is it possible to use the px5/px3 head unit as an android car "car"?
I would like to connect my smartphone via USB or BT to the head unit and Android Car should recognize it as a car. So my Android headunit will receive and display informations like Whatsapp, Spotify, etc. from my smartphone. Like in my KIA, Audi or similar.
I dont mean some "Screen Mirroring" apps like EasyConnect or other similar things where I have to start an app on my android headunit itself and on my mobile Phone.
Looking forward to your answers,
Sebastian

Help me understand Carplay AI Boxes

I have a 2020 Chevrolet car with the MyLink system which supports wired Android Auto and Carplay. I currently run Android Auto on my unrooted Galaxy S7 and connect using USB. The main problem with this is I use some driving aid apps that AA doesn't support (radar detector app, OBD app, GasBuddy, etc.) so I've been using Screen2Auto to run these. But I'm tired of the glitches and cat and mouse games Google plays with blocking unauthorized apps.
Basically, these units use the Carplay interface to mirror Android apps, correct? (BTW, what does AI stand for?)
I'd want the system to work just like it does now with my Android phone with the exception of it being reliable and I'd like to just drop my phone into the wireless charger and go. Is this feasible?
I don't want a separate cell plan for the box, I want to use my phone's hotspot.
My Bluetooth radar detector and OBD adapter needs to be able to connect to the box.
I want my steering wheel controls (mainly, the button push to get Google Assistant) to work; and I want to use the car's microphone and GPS.
When Google Assistant finds a phone number, I want to be able to select it and make a call.
Can all this be done? If so, which boxes will support this?
Thanks
maybe you can check this https://carlinkitcarplay.com/produc...i-box-adapter-for-oem-wired-carplay-cars-1122 I saw this from another post, it seems it can convert your car screen to an android tablet.

Bi-directional diagnostic with Android Auto OS?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to see if anyone has seen or has any ideas about integrating bi-directional functions into the OS. I’ve seen a lot of scan tools built on Android that let you check and operate the system modules on the vehicle. Seems like a great tool to have for any vehicle problems so I was hoping to find something similar to the scan tools that I can run on Android Auto OS. Maybe I am over looking something. My plan is to use a Raspberry Pi 4b 8gb model for my project. Thanks for any advice.
I'm looking for a bidirectional USB dongle that will integrate with the android head unit. I'm not as worried about the AA functionality so much, but it would be cool.
Android head unit (chinese origin greybox) or Genuine Android Auto head unit?

Eonon rk3566 so Chinese head unit...has android 11 and Android auto if that helps. Running vivid launcher as home screen but haven't figured out how to get it to connect to my phone's data without initiating Android auto.
Not Android-auto, requested moderator moves to (Android head-units) forum.

Any Android Phone mirroring apps that support touch on the head unit?

I currently have GrapheneOS installed on my Pixel 7. GrapheneOS doesn't install google play services as root so Android Auto doesn't work. I am hoping to mirror my phone at my Head Units screen resolution and control my phone from the head unit.
I have an Atoto Android Head Unit so I can install apps from the play store.
I am familiar with CarBitLink-EasyConnection but I cannot control my phone from the headunit. It only mirrors the screens. Also the screen resolution is off.
I am willing to root my phone if such an app exist. Any suggestions?
One thing you could try is enabling the hotspot feature of one of the devices (either your Pixel 7 or the head unit). Join the other device to the hotspot, then on the phone, install and start Droid VNC-NG and on the head unit, install VNC Viewer
Once Droid VNC-NG is running on the phone, enter the phone's IP and the port that the app is running on into VNC Viewer on the head unit. It should mirror the screen onto the head unit and allow for touch control, but I'm not sure if it will be responsive enough to be worthwhile.
You might honestly be better off just tethering your phone to the head unit and installing Google Maps/Spotify/whatever else you use Android Auto for directly on the head unit.
