[Q] Official Camera2 API support in nougat soak test?

I wanted to confirm whether moto has provided full Camera2 API support for 3rd party apps.
Someone who's on official soak test, please try this app and post screenshot of the result. That's the only reason stopping me to buy this device.

Not working in Official Nougat (NPJ25.93-11) also

with RR5.8.0 over n soak, I got everything except the manual white balance, weird.

Never had stock Nougat on my device yet. Bought with Marshmallow, immediately unlocked bootloader, installed TRWP, started flashing roms.
Tried it on AOKP 7.1.1 - I get everything except Manual White Balance.
But I'm having bad experiences. With Snap Camera, every second photo is green in gallery and reports a size of about 0.99MB. Shooting RAW locks up the camera, though the RAW file is saved to storage and later can be viewed.
With Camera Zoom, every second photo is green as above. The app gets buggy, cannot close the app.
Tried Camera Zoom and Snap Camera on RR N 5.8.2 also, had same bugs.
I have to say though, the quality of the photos it does manage to save is super.
Hopefully the USA N OTA will bring better results, although I will have to do that OTA the manual way though I think, now that I've unlocked on MM.

Everything works fine. Super Stable and Battery friendly except youtube app. its always giving an error unable play video playback id how to fix this? Bootloop after installing few apps
Hi, Good ROM, but I get bootloop every time I install few apps. After wiping data, cache & dalvik It's OK again. But I want to install apps. Is it possible to fix it?

Resurrection Remix 5.8.0 for Gionee E7 developed by someone else. Its not my work. Its super smooth in functionality but has a lot of bugs here and there. Till now I have not completed the testing but from my conclusion it is not good enough for daily driver but with some tweaks it can be made much better.
One can install it on TWRP 3. So guys try it out and give your opinions. According t me its a big leap for our phone and hope that development continues.

You worked on AOSP ROM. So can't we implement the camera from AOSP to this ROM or MIUI, just asking if possible because there standard API would be there as compared to Stock so there is a possibility it may work if you try.

I don't care much about the camera. It would be great if we could have a 7.x rom that is stable (with the only issue being the camera; force closes, reboots etc. fixed).

I am using ****e oreo i bought Lenovo p2, There's nothing I can do

Last time My camera from Redmi note 4 Snapdragon was crushed so I ordered the new one with the same numbers. But It's not working, probably it's camera from 4x but everything fits well. Is anyone to help me and send camera files from note 4x rooted? I want to change it and hope everything will be working ok. Sensor working good when I install new camera for old in powered phone, but is problem with focus, and after restart phone with new camera, not working at all.. Help Me guys plz!

You have got a camera for the wrong type of cpu. It wont help even if you'll get the drivers for mediatek version of redmi note 4..

I don't know exactly how many pins because I have it in phone now, but connector is all the same like in old camera and fits perfect, and reflashed stock newest firmware but nothing.

How to flash using fastboot? I tried to use XiaoMi Flash with newest 9.2miui. Program recognized phone in fastboot mode , but don't see a rom in folder, and I can't flash.

all gcams i try keeps on crashing. i think its because im currently using miui global 10.2.3?
edit* i also edited build.prop corretly, inserting the code line to enable lvl 3 camera2api stats, but never got passed from lvl FULL. =/

You can't use with Android Nougat/7.0,7.1 etc. I suggest you to install pixel exp 9.0.

It's a very big shame that Xiaomi dropped support of this powerful model for new Android releases, unbelievable. I wish someone could pick up Treble support at least so we can have Miui with Pie.
