Hi all!
I have tryed to flash Android Q on my Redmi Note 7 (Global) everything seemed to go smooth till i rebooted and the deviced got stuck in fastboot mode, i tryed to flash TWRP, it goes OKAY but if i reboot i cant access recovery anyway.
I also tryed to use "fastboot boot recovery.img", it does send the image but fails to boot into recovery saying "failed to load/authenticate boot image..."
Am i doing something wrong? How can i solve this?
I thought of MiFlash Tool, but there are many version and some seems not to work properly can anyone provide a working link?
(Ofc, my bootloader is unlocked etc)
Thanks a lot
After you flash TWRP you can't access via command, because MIUI will re-write the recovery again once you restart, first flash the TWRP (fastboot flash recovery the-name-of-the-file.img) after that you must reboot to recovery manually by holding together "Volume Up + Power" until you see the MI logo, release "Power" button but keep pressing "Volume Up" until you see the recovery, after you are in TWRP, (mount the internal storage (Data) or if you already copied OrangeFox Recovery Zip to device) then just flash OrangeFox R10_2, it will reboot itself after that to the recovery again and that's all, you will have a custom recovery ready.
Now, if you already tried to flash the ROM and everything went wrong, I guess your device is bricked, now you need a FASTBOOT ROM for your device (if it's complete global = PFGMIXM / because there's global europe too, that's PFGEUXM) and the MiFlashTool, unzip the Fastboot ROM, open the MiFlashTool, load the ROM Folder in the tool while the phone is connected to the PC, and then just flash it, steps with images are in Xiaomi site, here's the link Fasboot Method
ps: the tool have below one option to flash and re-lock the bootloader, it will be selected by default, leave it like that if you want to re-lock it, or change it to clean all to leave it unlock it

You have a smart phone! Don't want to accept redmi note 7 pro (violet) rom to be flashed to note 7 (lavender) phone.
Try to find here miui rom for your phone: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/
Hi, I've been trying to get out of this situation for days.
My mi 9t went into boot loop after having wipe a twrp wipe.
Now if I try to flash a ROM it returns the antiroolback error check because my arb is 1 and the rom I find is 0.
I can't even install the twrp anymore, the installation process with fastboot is successful but it always restarts in fastboot and not in recovery.
Can someone help me?

Recoveries and ROMs for redmi note 7 are compatible with redmi note 7s. When you install the recovery for the first time you have to reboot to recovery with vol+ and power button without reboot to system (if you reboot to system miui overwrite the custom recovery with the stock one). I reccomend to use orangefox as recovery

After flashing the recovery in fastboot mode don't use the command line to reboot in recovery but hold together the vol+ and power buttons until the recovery boot up.

From the orangefox thread:
#1. INSTALLING ORANGEFOX RECOVERY FROM STOCK MIUI RECOVERY (adb/fastboot method):
You need a PC for this. If you do not have a PC, or access to a PC, then you are stuck!
1. Install adb, fastboot, and the relevant USB drivers onto your PC
2. Install the Mi Flash tool onto your PC
3. Download the correct OrangeFox zip file to your phone, and to your PC
4. Extract recovery.img from the OrangeFox zip file, and copy recovery.img to your PC’s adb directory
5. Reboot your phone into fastboot/bootloader mode
6. Unlock your bootloader
7. Open up a command line window on your PC
8. Change to the adb directory on your PC
9. “Hotboot” OrangeFox by running the command: fastboot boot recovery.img
** Note: some devices do not like the "fastboot boot ..." command (eg, lavender). You must NOT run this command on those devices. Rather, you should boot into OrangeFox by using the Power+Vol+ hardware key combination.
10. After OrangeFox has booted up, check that everything is working – eg, that it has mounted the data partition successfully, and that the touchscreen works.
11. Select “Install”, then find and select the OrangeFox zip, and swipe to install it
12. After installation, the phone will automatically reboot into OrangeFox
13. Enjoy!
If that doesn't work try to ask directly in the orangefox thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...al-orangefox-recovery-project-t3941822/page39

I was a running my Redmi note 7 with DerpFest rom and with Ofox custom recovery
The phone suddenly got into a bootloop and now I can only access the fastboot screen (not even the Custom recovery screen)
How can I proceed to reinstall the sistem and the Custom Recovery?
I've already downloaded Minimal ADB and fastboot ulitily to make things faster
Edit: Also, I couldn't get the MiFlash program working, some errors are happening

Just copy the ZIP file of the ROM and flash, as you dos when you first installed. Maybe just wipe caches

Try to reflash the recovery with fastboot first. Need to have xiaomi usb drivers installed to can use adb/fastboot connection. When the phone is in fastboot mode connect with a good (original) USB cable and check the connection with "fastboot devices" command in cmd/powershell window. Extract and use "recovery.img" from latest orangefox zip file. Flash to phone using "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" command then reboot holding together "Volume Up + Power" until you see the MI logo, release "Power" button but keep pressing "Volume Up" until you see the recovery. When you have working orangefox recovery, try to flash new rom. More information about driver/fastboot/recovery here (skip "unlock the bootloader" part): https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/how-to/one-redmi-note-7-unlock-bootloader-t3890751
The MiFlash program issue can be caused by missing/wrong xiaomi usb driver, if you will have answer from "fastboot devices" command (phone detected), can try the MiFlash again, just be careful: DON'T LOCK the BOOTLOADER. Good luck.
I am trying to get a custon ROM to work on my Oneplus 8 Pro (instantnoodlep)
ROMs I tried installing:
Cherish OS 3.9.5
Nameless-AOSP_instantnoodlep-12.1-20220708-0935-Official
What I do:
1. Download recovery provided with the ROM
2. Reboot to bootloader and flash recovery
'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'
'fastboot reboot recovery'
3. Select apply update/apply from ADB
4. Connect device to PC
5. Sideload rom.zip
'adb sideload rom.zip'
6 Do Factory reset/format data from recovery
7. Restart to system
What happens:
Phone goes to fastboot and stays there.
When I try
fastboot reboot system
or
fastboot reboot recovery
I also land in fastboot again.
The only way to get out of fastboot again is fastboot boot recovery.img, which boots into recovery. When I then reboot into system, my old OOS11 boots up.
Because this is independent of the Custon ROM, there might be another issue. But which one?
You made sure you have latest OOS11 on BOTH slots?

When you're booted in OOS 11 just do a local install of the same OOS version that you're on. That will install OOS to the other slot, meaning you'll have the same OOS version on both slots and "should" be able to flash a custom rom.

Another way to set your phone up for a custom rom can be found here. https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/instantnoodlep/install
Just make sure your booting from a good 00S11 install when you do this.
I had a heck of a time with this two days ago. OP pushed c33, A12 on my phone. It took forever to corrupt both a and b enough to get twrp recovery installed and working to install A11 again. I had to load the recovery on both slots, a and b and I used twrp install to install the OTA to slot a. Right now I have nothing on slot b other that twrp recovery.
