Me too. If I find a solution I'll dm you , its in the support list.

So I've been using custom roms for a long time and ANX camera has always worked... If that helps: I am on PixelishExperience (Android 11) and use ANX 185R.

Mine too is not working. Well, taking pictures is fine. But video recording isnt..

[Proper Fix] Asus Pixelmaster camera for Lineage OS

Hello Friends,
Since last year I flashed latest version of Lineage OS on my Asus Zenfone selfie ZD551KL. While everything else about Lineage OS was great and neat, There was one major deal breaker- The Pixelmaster camera did not work. The camera is what makes or breaks the phone and in case of Zenfone selife, getting stock camera to work was paramount. Especially because the the laser focusing system, Dual tone flash and front flash worked correctly only in stock app. Not to mention that stock is otherwise fantastic with all manual and advanced options.
Sure while you could go to Play store or even get an APK to install, few imp functions did not work on new rom- Namely Panaroma, DOF, 360 and HDR.
But wait! I have a fix for that! and 100% working fix that!
Download the particlar file in this google drive link- (its 27 MB)
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Nl_kkA93NNP7gaIA8-eHzqkmepqJpJGz
Remove your old camera
Go to CWM/ TWRP and flash Zip from SD card.
Thats it!~ Pixelmaster camera should be installed and ALL functions should work like stock. I found this file after trying numerous other files and other trick and this post is a summation of about 7 months of research. Leave a like if you found this helpful and don't forget to share!
run smoothly 10/10

Latest versions of Google camera require a 64bit device & rom
Really old versions of Google camera will work or check out this magisk module

If you are referring to official Asus pie beta release then its in beta , gcam won't work, at least till date it isn't working.
Wait for the stable release, hopefully Asus will provide the option to turn on camera2api
If you are rooted and referring to custom pie roms then wipe the system and install fresh don't restore any backups from previous roms even if its apps only.
If you had enabled camera2api earlier then try and disable that, and wipe data system and cache and install custom rom
This is all i can suggest, can't think of anything else which might help.
I no longer root my phones been years since I used any custom roms...
Hope this might help

Try clean flashing the ROM again.

Flash dotOS latest it has camera2api enabled nd inbuilt gcam
try flashing darkonahx or pbh kernel (latest) in a clean flashed custom rom (havoc, dot, liquid, aosp, etc), can help with battery and camera. If you are in pie beta by asus then there is no way for gcam to work.

Potter 32/2 ROM and camera questions

Hi! I want to ask moto g5 32/2 variant users which ROM is better, I read that a lot of people says that pie roms are not stable but I'm currently using pe pie and it is working fine, the only problem is the gcam that keeps crashing(I'm trying to solve that).
Do you have stock ROM ? Pe oreo? And which is the best port for gcam ? I have tried a lot but all have crash problems
Should I go back to stock and enable camera2 API or stay in pe?

Why don't you check the thread directly above yours?

It's about the same question, no need to open another thread.

For Gcam are you using the apks by San1ty? Search for gcam apks that are for "potter by San1ty". And for night site to work properly one should install and configure an app called Kernal Aduitor
Go here.
EDIT... I can't post the URL here it gets blocked...just google "Moto G5 plus Gcam Kernal Aduitor san1ty "
If I recall my G5plus 2/32 was working fine with gcam san1ty for potter, on both 8.1 and 9. api2 enabled.

Currently on PE 8.1 and installed san1ty gcam 6.1
I was on PE 9 was working fine with everythiing, for a while but 1 day Gcam caused phone to freeze and caused installed rom to become corrupted and not boot properly.........so I reflashed to PE 8.1 and reinstalled san1ty gcam 6.1.021, HAL3 enabled, Kernal Aduitor

Any one made Anxcamera work on custom rom?

I'm on arrow os and I really love it, it's my daily driver and I'm very happy! Only thing is the camera ... I miss the miui camera so much.... The slow Mo the settings etc. Anxcamera seems to be the key but I can't make it work... Any success?
i would also like the miui camera, cause it is very complete. Tried many ANX versions to see if any work in lineage, none worked properly. im using a few Gcam versions and some extra camera apps, but a lot of features are still missing, that only miui camera had.
Well I've been using custom roms for a long time and ANX camera has always worked... If that helps: I am on PixelishExperience and use ANX 185R.
last i remember, 1.85 i get freeze and black screen (with LOS 17.1)
EDIT: oh, you mean the R version for Android 11? didn't see that there was a version for 11
