while flashing stock firmware with odi I get the following message fail=size that is because I flshed the European pit file to unbrick and now I cant install the original firmware for middle east I nee the right pit file for my device region please help
Hi all,
I'm trying to flash from BTU firmware to EE (EVR) firmware. I need the corresponding PIT file.
Can anyone link me to this? I've had a look around and I can't find it.
Thanks!
You just need the G900F PIT file, nothing to do with the carrier

Tried this, didn't work. Same issue.
I used the G900F PIT, which is the model of my S5. I do think the EE (EVR) version must have a different ext4 size, however I can't find a PIT file for this anywhere.
Odin fails on
<ID:0/006> hidden.img.ext4
<ID:0/006> FAIL! (Ext4)
Is there any solution to this yet? Still can't find the correct EE (Everything Everywhere) PIT File,
Any help is appreciated,
XPGTomo.

You don't need a pit file. It's the hidden.img bug.
You must extract the hidden.img file of your firmware rename it to hidden.img.tar and then flash the hidden.img.tar file. I don't know why but sometimes the hidden.img file can only be flashed when it's alone
Help

How do I install this with Odin?
Where do I put the hidden.img.tar file?
I have the Firmware under AP

You can't find it because it doesn't exist, as I have already told you, PIT file is model specific, not carrier
If you knew what a PIT file did, you'd understand that

The hidden.img.tar file also comes under AP. After you flashed it it takes some minutes to boot so don't be shocked
I have a solution
I have found and put together a solution to the problem,
If anyone else is having this issue then click the link and install with Odin3.

I was trying to change my csc on the canadian s7 edge to INS.
Odin gave me errors while installing and my phone shows Secure Download Failed : PIT .
So i want to ask if i can do it woth adding the pit file? And what pit file do i need to download. Is it XAC or INS? From where to download the required pit?
Or workaround would work that can i install only csc file from INS firmware and the rest of the files from XAC firmware?
Please guide me with that.
Hello,
I am planning on installing the latest official UK BTU firmware on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F), my CSC is CRC (Chile). Before proceeding I would like some help please. I know this may have been asked plenty of times before, but each case is different and in addition, I have some specfic questions about the process that I haven't been able to answer from other posts.
First of all, here is my phone info:
Product Code : SM - G93 5FZKLCRC
Original CSC Code :
Firmware 's CSC Code : CRC
Active CSC Code : CRC
Available CSC Codes : CDR , CHL , CPA , CRC , CTI , CTP , CTU , PCT , PET , PGU CSC
Country : COSTA RICA / CR Mobile Operator
Claro / 71203
I already have the official firmware and Odin, and the process seems pretty straightforward, extract the firmware, load it into Odin, put phone in download mode, flash. Oh! and hard reset seems to be the result of doing this which is ok. However, I am unsure about the following:
- The current firmware on my device seems to be Multi-CSC and I want to install a single CSC, what considerations should be taken when doing this? Is there any undesired effect?
- When extracted, the firmware package has 5 files: AP, BL, CP, CSC and HOME_CSC. I know I can ignore HOME_CSC, but, do I load all other 4 files in their respective field in Odin?
Should I ignore one or more of these files?
- Do I need a pit file and repartition or am I ok flashing without repartitioning?
- Can I easily go back and flash my original CRC Mashmallow firmware? Is the process the same but backwards?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
How do i extract the CSC file in .tar.md5 from the main firmware file? I want to flash it in odin. I notice when i flash the whole firmware in AP, my CSC does not change.
EDIT: nvm. found it.
