Just wondering if it is possible to extract and customize the red magic moment / time feature to be able to add more games / updates which can leverage the feature?
The reason I am asking is because every time a game like PUBG updates, Nubia has to update red magic time to be able to work with the new version ( it is still not working with pubgv1.2).
My hypothesis is that the red magic moment api contains a list of games to capture in forms of a process (eg sub processes in com.tencent.ig) and whenever it sees the process running it will start capturing the screen as well as game data to be able to analyse kills/ deaths and create moments automatically.
If developers can extract the container and give it the ability to add games/ processes manually, it would be amazing. We won’t need to wait for Nubia to develop patches, and we can also add games not currently supported (eg call of duty or fortnite)
Personally, I would be very happy to support this project the best I can (testing, Dev support etc).
Bumping the thread. I hope some kind developer is able to respond. I would be extremely happy to support the developer in whatever way I can (incl. donations) to see it to be successful.
dear developers. People have realised that if you change the phone and pubg game language to simplified Chinese, the red magic moment starts working again. However it doesn’t work when the language is English. This means there is a small tweak only which needs to be made to the red magic moment api to make it work in English. Can some developer help make it work please? I would be happy to sponsor for your time personally.

Hi,
I am trying to write a small application for my WM6 phone device.
What I intend to do is :
- write the application in c#
- it will be a background application (daemon)
- starting to blink leds of my phone (I have a dll which I know how to call from within a C# app)
- stopping this process when the call is answered or the ringing state is passed
- no forms will be used (as it will be a background application which will only play with leds)
- when the exe is called a second time , it should disable itself
Unfortunately, I could not succeed a few months ago as seen here :
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2454023&SiteID=1
Then , I had some other issues to deal with and left the project. Now I want to start over, fresh...
However, I am not sure of what is the most acceptable solution for this.
As I do not want to load the CPU or memory with unneccessary processes, I want to be able to do it correctly.
Could someone show me the path ?
Please take a look at the thread that I gave the URL above. At that time we discussed this but I couldn't achieve it.
Thanks for any help, comments...
SystemState class seems to only work if you have a form based application. Which is silly I know. Basically the only solution is do dump the daemon idea and have a form based app but hide the form.
thanks for your reply.
what do you mean by "dump the daemon idea" ? do you mean I shouldn't use it ?
if I create a form based app and hide the form, which method should I use to start the process when phone starts ringing ?
p.s : english is not my native language so I may misunderstand some phrases.
yes he means forget the daemon..and i recommend using C++ as it uses less system resources plus its fast .. im currently developing my first Kitchen in C++ if u want i can work with you also
I agree with you; of course c++ is faster but it's not as easy as c#.
what do you mean by kitchen ?
I would like to work with you but my intention is just creating a simple application. This is not my job, you see ?
A kitchen is a place where you can cook your OWN ROM for your Windows Mobile Device..currently its for Himalaya Only ..check it out here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378498
for me its not a JOB also its just my hobby ..im also a student in 12th grade
thanks for your kind offer. however, I wouldn't like to take your time for my very simple application
If you tell me the correct and easiest method to invoke my application and start its process, I can write the application. I'd just consult you if I'm stuck.
If you are also interested in this app. I can always send you the source code.
sure sure..send me the source....i am not doing much at the moment any way..except for re-writing the tools in C++..i have another useful suggestion..u can use MortScript to this but then it will be different
if you pm me your email address , I can send you the current source code.
But I am not sure if what I wrote is the best way of doing it.
by "best" I mean least cpu power used.
ather90,
did you receive my email ?
yeah i got the source..but there is a problem..you have built this on WM6 Pro SDK..not on WM5..i dnt have WM6 SDK..so i couldnt work yet..but will download it today..its better if you can switch it to WM5 SDK ( it will be same for WM6/6.1 i guess).
I don't know how to convert it to WM5 SDK.
If you tell me I can switch...
NO probs..the SDK is almost downloaded..i figured i might as well download the SDK caz i will need later
ok; waiting for your update...
any updates ?

Here is small how to to start android on Athena.By mistadman
Download Android for Athena here(last build): http://rapidshare.com/files/118229739/Android-Athena-05282008.exe.html
free method(please use only when you cant you rapidshare) http://gymjs.net/~m.novak/Android-Athena-05282008.exe
Once downloaded, unzip and copy the unzipped files to a SD Card. The root of your SD Card should have these files:
haret.exe
default.txt
zImage
initrd-android
Once you have verified the files listed, insert the SD Card in to your Athena. From there just load up Windows Mobile and browse to your "Storage Card" in "File Explorer". Click on the file called "haret.exe", and once the program has loaded; click run.
Just remember that this is work in progress!
more info:
its only the system, the keybord is not working, screen isnt working.Just remember that this is work in progress!
Here is some plan what must we do(by mistadman):
1.) Add some Ati specific 3D acceleration (Double Buffering, Rotation).
2.) Optimize Power Saving...
3.) Add/repair touch screen driver.
4.) Add/create keyboard driver.
5.) Add sound
6.) Add phone driver support (be able to make a call).
7.) Add Wifi Driver.
8.) Get the camera working maybe?!?!

Keyboard?
As you can see on the post located here, they've written a simple onscreen keyboard. Maybe he'll give you the source for it and it wouldn't be hard to implement it into this kernel for future releases...
Let's pull all of our resources together and make this happen. Whoever can contribute let's post here and let's try to get a 1.0 final out ASAP.
Thanks in advance to everyone for helping where you can.
Areas of interest for developing the project:
- Graphics
- Sounds
- Drivers (highest priority of course)
- Apps
- Functionality (highest priority of course)
If you can provide a driver or something that fits in the categories above, please post a description...a how-to....and a link to a RapidShare download. Thank you all in advance.
Now we are talk'n! LOL!

Just remember though, we do not want to duplicate Google's efforts... What I mean is that Google OS/Middleware (Android) will be in direct competition with the iPhone, Symbian, Window Mobile, etc. That means we can expect things like onscreen keyboards, SMS apps, Office Apps (probably complements of Google Docs/Google Gears), mapping/GPS software (Google Maps), a camera app, etc... (See: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-9239_7-6546759-1.html for more info) And that’s not to mention some of the great work already being done by Third-Party Vendors (Android Developer Challenge: see: http://phandroid.com/2008/05/10/adc-round-1-winners for more info). Heck, look at what was done on the iPhone... And it was/is "closed source"!
I believe the IMPORTANT thing is that we provide a stable kernel for Google's "Middleware". I envision that most of the kernel work will revolve around driver development (in order of priority): (Here is a pictorial representation of the software stack:http://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/bto/20080521/android_stack_540x387.jpg, as you can see the kernel is the base to which all other software depends on.)
Keyboard
Touch screen
Phone
Video
Sound
And of course:
Wifi
Bluetooth
GPS
Camera
Long term objectives:
Sub-display
Accelerometer
Of course there will need to be work done on Android itself... Maybe we will need to develop applications custom to the Athena Hardware. At the very least, we will have to provide Android with a way to talk to hardware via kernel icotls (e.g. Camera Settings, Video Settings, etc…). So having some with inside knowledge of Android will help. Not sure though, because I haven’t hacked on Android (yet ;-) )...
Once the kernel/drivers are stable I believe Android will be a better fit for the Athena than WM6 could have ever be.
What do you guys think?
FYI: Looks like Google is already improving Android: http://www.talkandroid.com/99-adc-finalists-receive-android-sdk-snapshot-access/
i will have new develop version of Android soon.i hope so.so maybe it could be better for this project.i will let you know!

Update...
Just to let you guys know, I have been working on the touch screen driver. I pretty much have it working perfectly, expect for the fact that the touch screen works in the horizontal position even though Android boots vertically. I am pretty sure I will not be much longer before I release an update.
Also, if anyone is working on any particular issue related to porting Android to the Athena, please let us know. The more the merrier!
The main thing is that we wouldn't want to duplicated efforts or if someone is working on an issue we could match you up with someone doing the same thing. This would speed development a great deal. Two heads or better than one! On the main page I will post updates as to where we are with each issue.
And thanks to everyone who is either showing interest or encouragement!
Maybe you should give to each update a date.So they can know what is new and what is old.I tried to do someting with video driver, but no luck at all.ï can do more when i will be back home.
edit:we have(with mistadman) decided something about marking releases.he will tell everything to you.thx
All in one executable...
Hello everyone,
I am trying something new... Even though there has been some progress with this project, I am re-releasing the original Android release as an All-in-one executable for testing. If all goes well, we will be releasing further updates in this fashion. If you are testing, please post feedback on this thread.
This will help make testing easier, because there will be less files to mess with, and anyone new to testing will not be easily confused. Also the "All-n-1" release will be dated, which should also minimize confusion.
If anyone has any suggestions, or any better ideas, let us know. Thanks!
Here is a the link to the "All-n-1" re-release: http://rapidshare.com/files/117520672/Android-Athena-05172008.exe.html
***NOTE*** There is nothing new with this release, other than the fact its all merged in to one file for easier testing.
New Update...
Hello everyone... I'm back with a new update! I finally got the touch screen working! Still have a lot of work left of course.
If you want to play with it, you can get it here: http://rapidshare.com/files/118229739/Android-Athena-05282008.exe.html. This is an "All-n-1 Release". Just copy the exe to your sd card and run. After clicking, it could take up to 20 seconds to boot. Be patent!
As always, this is work in progress... Thanks for testing!
Here is the patch and .config:
thanks very much it's working fine and waiting for keyborad and wifi
I am currently writing an application for my WM6.1 device (HTC TouchHD), and wondered if anyone had come across a site, or if someone could point me in the right direction for finding a nice way of writing 'finger friendly' applications. By finger friendly, i mean being able to scroll with my fingers and so on. Or if there are any open source applications that I can use as a reference?
I don't particularly want to say what application I'm writing just in case it falls to pieces, but rest assured once it's written it will be put up on here!
Thanks,
evorgevol
I have just found this page which does me for scrolling parts of my application. The main thing I'm having issues with is that I want the main menu interface to resemble windows 7 media center, see here for a video of what effect I'm trying to achieve.
I know it's quite complicated, and I'm not the best programmer in the world, but hopefully I should be able to do it??
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,
evorgevol
If I understand, you're trying to create an UI with a scrolling list useable with fingers.
Each item in the list, once selected, let appears different choices about this item (IE : a "Appointment" item in the list, when you select it, you have the next appointment displayed....). It that right ?
Doesn't it look like the new WM6.5 today plugin ? If that's you're idea, I'm 100% on your side to develop a today plugin looking like these menus (WM6.5 / WM7 MC) !
(In fact, I'm already searching if somebody could develop something like this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3375478)
The one I'm doing is not necessarily for a today page, more for my own application, tho it should be able to be easily used in any other application once the code has been written. I just need a push in the right direction for me to be able to write the code in the first place. I'm also deliberating what format to write my application in, and which ones are available. I will only be supporting from WM6 onwards, tho it could potentially be backwards compatible with 5. Ideal would be silverlight being able to be used, but unfortunately that hasnt been released for mobile yet (it would mean that my application should run on any platform that supports Silverlight).
Try iContact. I suppose the code is open. Also try PockeTwit from google code. Install these apps and if that is the effect you want to achieve, I suggest you grab the code and understand it (that's what I would do if I was in your position)
I used to have this program called The Games Factory that makes it easier to create PC games without having to know a lot of coding, and instead they had this thing called an "event editor" where you just had to specify the effects of each possible action (using regular English and/or options they give you) and it would convert it to the proper code.
Is there anything like this that could help with creating Android games? I have a lot of ideas for new games and I'd love to be able to port some of the PC games I made onto my phone.
no. (at least 10 chars)
Sure there is, Unity for one is an engine/sdk for games.
http://unity3d.com/
It may not be as easy as what you're used to but there is certainly stuff out there.
There's something called Corona too
http://www.anscamobile.com/corona/
There are at least a few more out there, though not sure how easy they are for non-programmers.
Android is not mature to PC level. Therefore this kind of development tools don't come out yet. Also Android SDK is updated very often, which makes it quite hard to catch up with the version.
If this is not profitable, I don't think that toolkit / framework will come up for public use. To create a user-friendly and highly functional software takes huge workforce.
Hi there
not THAT much threads here related to development questions. Now it's absolutly ironic that I ASK this, cause Im no dev and coded the last small tools in C some 10 yrs ago. I'm a complete and definite noob in C++ ... bada SDK is my first contact with C++. I though it's interesting to try some first steps in bada.
Started in SDK 2.0.2. I found out that code examples in Internet relate to bada SDK 1.x and things seem to have changed here and there. After 3 days I was able to understand structurally what I collected together or found in help.
Question: What did you guys face as difference in 2.0 compared to 1.x?
I wasn't able to invoke the app "terminate()" command. What do I need to include/declare? I'm puzzled. this is the most difficult exit function of all languages I know
I had trouble to insert a photo as the splash screen. You guys have difficulties too?
More philosophic question: What do you think of Samsung, that they gave you SDK 2.0 and even started a competition, while there's STILL NO bada 2.0 device ready? So you can only test in Emulator or Remote ... is it normal in this industry that you don't have access to the target platform while creating an app?
Oh, just want to mention: I'm no competition - I'm too uneducated to code - and no time for a serious app.
Ray
Its simple, alot of things gone easier.
CustomList, GroupedList, SllidableList, IconList, ... all collected to two types
ListView and GroupedListView, they both are using SimpleItems (Image, Text, Option) or a CustomItem as we devs them wish. GroupedItems are in GroupedListView and saying itself what they does, both lists have a fast scroll option and automatically relocating on need their items. The best autoscroll for bigger text in elements and of cousre the behind Context menu for each item which can be changed in different ways if user slides left or right and so on. Finally to update the list, only UpdateList() is needet not after every change every item as i used in badaSI before.
Than we have the powerfull Gallery that provides all featuers to show pictures as you all saw it in badas Gallary App.
Then header and footer, very nice, devs can so made a good basci gui that looks good integreted to the os, the best function of them are the back button option with its listener, it reduces a lot of time.
My pesonal favorit is the extension for animation class, there you can make every thinkable animation for forms, panels, controls and other stuff, with some code lines. So the UIx is improved and no extra code is needet.
I would rather say that the 2.0 sdk makes c++ a lot of easier to use also for beginners, the api itself is self explaining for what it stands, so it is not like old c++ stuff bada SDK makes many things alot of easier than people think. And of course it has more oportunities than other ... and so on.
Push Notifications and some old unaccessable System Privilegs are now free to use for every developer. Auto resolution takes a lot of work from us all devs.
PThread is addet so porting applications from other oses like ios are much easier, in my oppinion useless cause i am not porting i am writing from scratch.
In a whole overview of the new sdk, a lot of new stuff that makes everything easier, and the old stuff is still in there to support older applications. so no visible changes are there if you see an custom list or a listview in voluntas as example, but the behind things made it a lot of easier and better for memory.
And so on....................
ah, so push noti was there before, but only to priviledged partner dev's right?
Lari, you list is your favourites? What of them will help most often? Header/Footer? Auto Resolution to unite higher and lower lever Waves? Let's see if there's still two separate bada versions for the 2 familys.
Ray
So finally I got the Terminate() function up and running ...
In the form.cpp I had to add these:
#include "<myappname>.h"
... to get declaration of my app name
using namespace Osp::App;
... to enable the Terminate function (don't know if the include makes this unnecessary now ... in "<myappname>.h the public Osp::App::Application,
is used as class
<myappname>::GetInstance()->Terminate();
... only with this the function worked.
Is this standard in C++? Help didn't show me this way, and it seems quite complicated for me as a former ANSI C amateur
Ray
hello? zehn zoicha kaesdreck!
