Hello everyone, I heard some news that some people ported custom roms to other devices of different chipsets. Is this actually possible? And if it is please can anyone help with how to do this?

Hey guys this is my first post on xda-dev, anyway I recently bought a Zopo ZP990 and I was wondering if I could run PAC Rom on it? It has a MTK MT6589T processor, and the current operating system is a very near stock version of 4.2.1 Alternatively does anyone know of any other ROMS that run on this phone?

You got numerous roms for zopo zp990. google it

I would like to ask if any one can make a tutorial for exnos roms to port to each other.
As we know only difference is modems. And there are 910c f roms.. but my question how to port them lets say 910U
as i have seen some threads its only changing boot.img.

I have a500h and there are several custom ROMs for the phone. Do a proper search on xda. Contact me and I give you more that 5 custom ROMs that can work on this phone. You do not have to worry anymore.

Hi, the ROMs I was able to find for the A500-H had some pretty big known bugs and were abandonned. Could you link me to the ones you mentioned?

Just a question, I see there is quite a few variations of the S5, and many many different roms, like xtrestolite is only for the g900h, can i take part of another rom (like the important files to work on my g900f) so i can basically make a custom version of xtresolite for the g900f? is there a program or other ways to do this? i would like to learn the steps of building a rom (i built many many roms for windows mobile in the early days)......

Hi everyone, has anybody ever tried to use Lineage OS or other custom roms from the normal S5 (SG-900F)? Is it advisable or it could create seripus problems? Any feedback would be really appreciated.
I am also very interested in this question. I can imagine, that the S5 and S5 Neo are not so different from each other so that it might work.
However, for example TWRP doesn't let you flash roms, which are not specific for your device. This might me a very good idea, because I had read that flashing the wrong rom might brick your phone. And I'm not willing to take that chance and just try it.
