I also tried several custom ROMs on the device. In most cases, after the device enters sleep mode (initially after 1 minute), it is no longer able to wake up with either the power button or the fingerprint reader. It doesn't matter if it's LineAgeOS or another ROM. If I remember correctly the xiaomi.eu ROM was a little better because it didn’t always do that.
I also tried several types of recovery ... TWRP, Orange Fox, etc ... different versions as well. If I want to turn on the display, nothing happens. Only the notification LED works. After a hard reset (8-10s power button press), I can only use the system until it goes back to sleep mode. Neither calls nor messages wake it up, and the device is not available during a call.
I just flashed the factory ROM, it works perfectly without error. So I don't think it's a hardware failure. The joke is that it don’t wake up the same way with Ubuntu Touch. Anyone have any ideas?
Have you tried to switch off "Prevent Accidental Wakeup" setting in whichever Custom ROM you have installed?

Now this error also exists with the factory ROM. I will check this option. Thanks!

So I have some problems with my OPT.
As soon as the system has completely booted the screen remains dark. Before this (boot animation, recovery, fastboot) the screen works fine.
I already tried all methods from Oneplus Two - Solution for Hard Bricked Device more than once but the problem could not be solved.
Current state: USB debugging disabled, oem unlock disabled. Fastboot and recovery work.
I flashed 2.2.0 full via stock recovery, then I wiped data and cache.
After booting I can see the language selection like the phone comes fresh out of the box but as soon as I try to select the language the screen turns black again. I can go back to language selection by pressing the back softkey and then the power button. When doing this the screen turns on again.
How can I make it work again?
Try flashing the Hydrogen OS.
Tried it but it the issues is still the same apart from the fact that it boots Hydrgen OS instead of OOS.

Is it a New mobile?
I had a remote service with oneplus today. They basically did the same like in the Oneplus Two - Solution for Hard Bricked Device thread and it did not change anything.
So it must be a hardware issue and I will let it be repaiered.

I opened a ticket and explained my problem. Then they offered me the remote service.
So there I was, using Cloudy 3.3 on my G2 international model (d802) when I thought to myself: Why wouldn't I change the ROM. I guess I got bored of it and while in the past year I tried almost EVERY ROM (at least every 5.1 lollipop ROM and these new marshmallow ROMs) I wanted something different this time. I remembered that Flyme OS system and wanted to give it a go. I found one here on xda site, I think it was Flyme 4.1 or 4.0 or something like that but I decided to go for a ,,newer" version of the system.
I found Flyme OS on this site: http://www.flyme.cn/firmwarelist-14.html
And as you can see the entire site is in Chinese but I managed somehow and downloaded it. I had TWRP 3.0 installed and I think I know the thing or two about flashing ROMs on this device. The whole installer is AROMA based and even though it was in Chinese I managed to flash the system. And that's when I knew I f****d up. After I installed it and it booted up, I figured that I'm not really into the whole Flyme interface and wanted to revert to stock. But I couldn't!
1. I no longer have download mode, when I stick USB cable and hold volume up it shows me an animation of ,,download mode'' but then in upper left corner appears a message saying ,,boot secure error'' or something like that and then it shows me a black screen.
2. I no longer have my TWRP recovery installed.
- I can't use 3rd party apps to restart my phone into recovery because this OS is NOT rooted! And I can't even root it because there's no method for it. I tried the default rooting method for MEIZU phones which include you logging in to your Flyme account and all of a sudden ,,root permissions'' option appears in your settings - DIDN'T HAPPEN. I also tried other different methods but to no avail. It just can't be rooted. - Even when I turn the phone off and try to do the hard reset thing with simultaneously holding power + volume down button - it won't show me the LG's default ,,factory reset'' screen which could potentially lead me into TWRP. It just boots normally!
So, the conclusion:
I flashed an unknown Flyme OS system for LG G2 from a Chinese site and it works decently good but when it installed - it turned my G2 completely to a MEIZU phone. I have no clue on how to revert it and PLEASE I would appreciate any help given. Before giving your opinions in the comments, do read every sentence I wrote above.
Thanks in advanced.

Did you tried going to recovery mode by completely shutting off your phone and then pressing volume down + power button simultaneously. If goes into recovery mode as you said you have no twrp installed. What does it shows and also what happens when you connect your phone to pc in recovery mode?.
P.S i recovered from a similar issue like you on my sprint g2

I tried going to recovery with my phone being completely shut down, however, it simply turns the phone on. No button combination gets me into recovery anymore. As if it simply vanished from my phone (the recovery, of course). It doesn't show the default ,,Factory data reset" option when I hold volume down + power button whilst turning the phone on. No options whatsoever. So I didn't even get the chance to connect it to the PC while in recovery, since there's no recovery installed on my phone.

install quick boot. and try to access to recovery. maybe it will help.
otherwise... kingroot ... if your phone is not rooted. google for autorec for your model phone. it will install the recovery again
I have a redmi 3s with Deep Sleep of the Death everytime i locked it or got lock by itself, it will gone black and cannot turn it unlocked with the power button or with the volume button.
I have to hold it about 10 seconds to give the reboot to the phone.
I don't have the screenshot because now i'm in custom ROM. (Next time if i'm flash it to Miui i would give the screenshot about the about phone)
And even in this Custom ROM (i use Resurrection Remix-M-V.5.7.4 feb build) the issue is not fix at all.
Because it's so frustrating to occasionally to rebooted the phone everytime it got locked.
Please anyone can help me with this problem?
i got the same issue on YU Yuphoria. I cant remember what i actually did to solve the problem .
But try turning of unnecessary options in Display settings like ambient display , auto brightness , screen saver etc and look for your solution.
Also remove any shortcuts mapped to power and volume buttons.
One of those helped me.

i've been facing the same issue. Its f**king awful...
the only way that i found to fix it is to install miui 7.5 via edl mode and keep it clean, like not to root it or install twrp
Can't believe, but I've got exactly the same problem on Redmi 3s. Neither tweaking settings of display nor hard-reset did not help.
i found a weird fix for it
still dunno how long is it gonna last, but it will atleast for a week
so, listen to these steps
1. take out the sim tray
2. remove sdcard from tray
3 set a sim card to slot 2(important)
4 boot it up without sdcard and sim at slot 2
5 reboot 3 times
6 swap sim slots and insert sdcard
WORKED FOR ME
me too! any ideas?
Clean flash using fastboot or in edl mode
Hello,
I downloaded cf auto root for the s8+ and flashed on it.
and then I flashed twrp on it.
I flashed it with Odin 3. 12. 3.
the phone tried to boot, but then it went out and now nothing works anymore. (I tried all sorts of keyboard shortcuts, didn't work)
The screen still remains black.
Now my question is if there's any way to save the phone?
I'm asking for help.
Hey,
can you still access odin? you could download stock firmware and see if that fixes it
Does not work, the display remains off. The phone doesn't make any vibrations or anything else
Sorry, i don't know how to help with that, only possible solution i found was pressing vol-down and power until it reboots
Hi
RP2, GSI roms (I tried three: LOS 17, NitrogenOS, RevenageOS), arter97-kernel-r12, Magisk-v20.3
I am installing a GSI ROM, the system is working. after the third or more reboot, the phone is booted to a black black screen.
Wipe all data, phone booted.
doing something simple (install software from google play, restore data from old device via google restore)
restart
phone booting to blank black screen with sound. computer (USB) recognized the phone.
Tried with Magisk, withour Magisk, restored vendor.img from origin (I was deleted the two apks for BT).
clear data
phone booted
restore
blank again
where to start debug it ?
Same problem with me, I had my phone on phhusson treble ROM (android 10) then went back stock and hated it....tried to flash the phhusson treble ROM again and she boots but to a black screen, you can hear via sound it's up just the screen is black....let me know if ya finger anything out

Yea I've had the same results as well.
Try Havoc and PE from these links. They are phhusson based and work with some bugs but at least you can boot up after the third time

If you want/need to restart if you do it via the power button then hitting restart, it will boot to a black screen. But if you hold the power and volume down till it reboots, it'll boot perfectly. Happens every time for me

Not if you let go when you see the screen turn off, then it's just a dirty restart I guess?
In my case, it only happens when you use the Encrypt password to start the device.
So I suggest skipping the encrypt part on startup setting and the problem should gone.
*Sorry for my bad English.
In my case, Don't use the "Secure start-up" thing when you set up your phone in Android 10.
Nor It will mess and cause a black screen on your device.
