Hi,
I am a telephone interpreter, and one of the companies that I work for uses this app called boostlingo. I am having trouble keeping the app running, or even when it's running, it doesn't always route my calls. I know this, because the ipad that I keep in another room, rings while my phone doesn't.
On the newest stock I had trouble with wifi roaming, so I downgraded to 9.0.15 and roaming part seems to work, but why do I not get the calls? I have every battery optimisation setting that I could find turned off and it still doesn't seem to make a difference. Nor does having a CPU awake app on.
Do you have any ideas on how to help me? My phone is rooted, and I am not afraid of ADB

Hi mates,
I'm trying out emoze via wifi for the "poor man's pushmail" services.
However, I realised that if the phone (using o2 Stealth now) goes into standby, only the phone component is always on in the background, WIFI will be cut off. (not sure about Bluetooth, but i think it'll be cut too).
So, i'm wondering, is there an app to keep WIFI always on? coz if i need to turn the pda on, inorder to grab new mails, i might as well just use PIE to surf my webmails instead of getting them pushed via emoze.
Any tricks?
Thanks!
surely keeping wifi on constantly will chomp up battery power quicker than anything else you can do with your phone, which is why I suspect it automatically disconnects when you put it into standby. Not absolutely sure on that but I know from experience when I am using my XDA IIi it is the case.
Alchopop
I use MortSaver to keep the phone from going into standby when I want to keep my WiFi connection going. I typically only do this when I'm at home, so the extra battery usage isn't an issue for me.
This is my problem too!!
I want that standby doesn't cut off wi-fi! Is possible? With regedit?
omg i need the same exact thing...plz somebody aim me at kmskajlal33nba if u have a solution for this!!
Probably a stupid question but what exactly does turning mobile data off do to the phone? I assume that it will help me save batt life, but what will it inhibit my phone from doing? Will SMS still work?
Sent from my iPad, I know...
Phone calls and SMS will work. You can receive MMS but will not be able to download them...I highly suggest you do not just turn off data. Use juicedefender or something. It does that but turns on data when the screen is on.
I do have juice defender but it doesn't seem to be doing anything...why do u suggest not turning off mobile data?
I did it before and it seemed if I left it off for a long time, the next time I turned it on it bogged down my phone from syncing. But this was on my droid and froyo seems to not like syncing...But I also feel it seems to detract from the point of having a smartphone being connected to wireless data. If I feel my phone will die while I am gone, I just grab another battery to use.
Hello everyone, I am on sprint and have the option for enabling RCS data messaging on my phone. it works great but will not allow my phone to sleep. It is keeping it awake nearly 50% of my screen off time and I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing this. Tried factory reset to stock just to make sure it wasnt a rom issue and it is present whenever the RCS messaging is enabled. Lets use this as a place to talk about this issue and find a work around/fix.

I'm not on Sprint, nor do I have RCS but maybe here is one reason. The "Ignore Battery Optimization" that you have to set in order to use it so that it can run in the background all the time.
Yeah that was something I thought about as well but it seems unreasonable that it would just keep my phone awake so much even when it should be in deep sleep. I guess I must be in a small minority of use with sprint and a brand new Google service on top of it.
I bought this Le Pro3 the first day it came out on the flash sale. I really like this phone but there are some things that are pretty annoying. I fixed a lot of it but some issues are still there.
I have the stock ROM with 5.8.021s
Bluetooth.
Since I had the phone I left the bluetooth on all the time. I never had any issue with the battery draining or anything like that. But with the lasted update 5.8.021s, it seems like the blutooth turns itself off when I am not using it(when I leave my car) and turns itself on again automatically when I go in my car. I understand why they do this, it is to save battery. This would be fine if it worked. The issue that I am having is even though it is turned on by itself, it does not automatically connect to my car. This is an issue with all 3 of my car. I did NOT have this issue before. Is there a way to turn off this feature.
Gmail
I have many emails account but the only email app I use is the official google Gmail app. Randomly the "Auto-sync" will be turned off and I would need to turn it back on again. This is really annoying, when it is off, no email is pushed to me. After I turn it on, it would work for a while and again randomly the auto sync will be turned off. When I say random, it could be within a couple of hour, a day, or a few days. I can't figure out any patterns or what would trigger it. I don't use any auto clean up or anything.
Dropped call
I rarely make any phone call but I noticed that when I do make calls at home I need to turn OFF my wifi on my phone. If I don't I will loose the call within a minute. I am talking about just regular phone call, not though a special app or anything. I don't know if the phone uses wifi calling or anything like that. Even if it does, I don't understand why I would loose the call because I am usually next to the router.
If anyone has any answer or help please let me know.
I dont have any of these issues. Try restoring it from factory settings(if possible for you)
I have none of these issues, and I travel for work and actually -do- use wifi calling off and on here and there. Go to your wifi calling and make sure the wifi calling is turned off. Then do a network reset. Then make sure you do NOT have battery assistant turned on. Then go into the battery settings and make sure you do not have any auto power down or off settings turned of for any clock times.

Where do I find the wifi call feature?
Battery assist has always been off and I don't use any auto power down.

Go to settings. Click more. Inside there at bottom is wifi calling. Make sure it is off. I added screen shots

Strange, I don't have that option. What version do you have? Do you have to enable it somewhere first?

what's your phone carrier? Does it support wifi calling?
Did you happen to flash any Chinese roms to lose wifi calling feature? If you are on a unmodified software, you better contact LeEco support....

I'm on official US stock version ending in .21s
No, I didn't have to enable the setting to appear. It's simply there and toggled on or off. Perhaps it only shows up if your SIM card is from a carrier that supports it? I've used two different sim cards in my phone (AT&T AND TMOBILE), both of which support wifi calling, and the option for wifi calling was there both times.

Bought the phone on the first day of the flash sale. I have the latest stock rom and have ATT.
I just got this phone and use it on AT&T. I don't have the WiFi calling option. I did use it on my Note 5.
My biggest problem is Android Auto. It didn't work at first so I read on here that resetting it reinstalling the Android Auto app fixes it. I cleared data and cache and it worked the next two times I plugged it in to my car and hasn't since. I tried clearing data and cache again but still no luck.
As discussed you can NOT toggle wifi calling on and off with an AT&T based SIM. This has led to ongoing tech support discussions with LeEco concerning calling issues with my LeEco Pro3, US version.
Specifically, when WIFI is ENABLED (not WIFI CALLING as this isn't functional), outbound call ringing is hit or miss. There's a period of silence and either the call is suddenly answered or disconnects and gives up. If wifi is DISABLED outbound call ringing ALWAYS happens. Compare that to my AT&T branded Note 4 whereby any outbound call rings regardless if wifi is active.
Further, I have had issues with INBOUND calls where my Pro3 does not ring. It's hit or miss and happens regardless of location. First knowledge of a phone call missed is voicemail. Some have dismissed this as the vagaries of cell phones but in my case it seems to happen more frequently than the 'occasional' missed call.
I'm starting to wonder if the outbound and inbound issues are related, and whether there's some inherent software problems related to ringing when wifi is present and functional. Obviously disabling wifi looks to be a workaround, albeit a poor one since I'm on a limited data plan whereby it's easy to forget to turn wifi back on.
No outbound ringing is simply an annoyance I can live with but the failure of inbound ringing is simply unacceptable. I'll probably sell this phone and have gone back to a Note 4.
Twrp backup
Hi Can anyone please perform a stock twrp backup for their handsets. I am in a soft brick and it would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to specify in the title the fact you're using some off brand cell company.
This device works flawlessly on Verizon, I had T-Mobile for about 6 months and it was fine, and now I'm on att and its as good as version was.

i am not on an off brand company i am on T-mobile now
from what i understand metro PCS which i had before uses the same network though
i was on metro for a long time with no problems
i did finally get visual VM working today but only through the app , it doesn't work in the stock phone dialer app still
i won't know until tomorrow if the issue with calls not going through when the phone goes into doze has been resolved or not
i changed one of the APN settings from v4 to v6 i think that is what made it work , the guy at T-mobile changed some other settings too though i think it took awhile then the visual VM app finally asked me to set up a new pin but it still wouldn't work i had to call and have them set it up on their end for it work
i feel like the phone not getting incoming calls is an android problem because it seems to only happen when the phone is left untouched for a long time , most of the time it only will happen when i go to sleep and wake up
sometimes waking and unlocking the device will make calls come through again sometimes i need to reboot it
i think it has something to do with doze but i am not sure , it could be the network or APN settings
happened with 2 phones on both carriers

Are you on 8.1 or 9.0? Because I've seen quite a few people having issues with calls etc on 9.0, though I haven't noticed any.
It seems like a large portion of them are outside of the us though. Also are you on stock? Or a custom rom? I have noticed on some custom ROMs that my device when left overnight will stop updating. View it as the phone is sleeping so hard it just stops working, I'll wake up to no alarm and notice even my clock wasn't updating.

I am on stock N .
It seems to be working now ,after much messing with APN settings and showing system apps and disabling optimization for any apps and system apps that sound like they are related to carrier or phone.
No visual VM from dialer app tho
The issues just started one day a few months ago out of the blue i think T-mobile/Metro PCS made some changes to their network and that is what caused the problem.
I also noticed that when i had the sim out of my phone that the battery lasted forever
and when i put it back and was having the issue the battery drained really fast , i have always got extremely poor battery performance since i got it
but now it seem like the battery life is a lot better since the phone has been ringing and Visual VM working
So can having incorrect APN settings dramatically effect battery performance, cause it seem like the battery is working better now even though i have turn off like 7 or 8 apps/system apps battery optomizations

Well sure, a large chunk of your battery is eaten up by the radio, just like if you toss on airplane mode and just use WiFi you save battery. If your radio is constantly trying to search for signal it can have a huge impact on battery life.
You mentioned APN settings, but sure if that means you've messed with that, but if not I would. Google all the different apns they use and try entering them manually

Not sure honestly. I usually just toss it on airplane mode if I'm in an area with **** tier service.
No Prob Here
Hey, I am using Metro PCS and I am having no problems. I have tried a few different AOSP roms and none have been an issues. I am on AEX 9.0 right now. I do know that I had to reinstall the default android/google dialer app as this one wanted to use something different.
If there are any network settings I can help you out with let me know.
