I tried to install the latest Pixel Experience ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Exynos. Everything went well and seemed to function perfectly, except that the WIFI refused to turned on. I tried both the regular and the plus variant of the ROM. When I tried to turn it on it just said that its turning on then just switched back to WIFI off after a few seconds. I installed the unofficial Lineage OS 17.1 ROM and everything is functioning fine right now. However I prefer the Pixel Experience ROM and would love if someone figured out a way to make the WIFI work.
im not sure but you could try another kernel like morokernel.maybe it will work then

I'm having a problem with having both bluetooth and the wifi being on while running Virtuous Fusion ROM > 1.0.1. If WiFi is on and once bluetooth is turned on, wifi continues to work for maybe 5 minutes and then wifi shows to be connected, but it won't transmit any data. Once I turn bluetooth off and turn wifi off and then just turn the wifi back on, wifi works.
I don't have this problem with v1.0.1 of the ROM, but I've tried every newer version (doing a full wipe or doing an upgrade, tried both) and all of the revisions have this problem for me.
I'm a new member so the forums don't allow for me to post this as reply to the ROM thread in the development forum. Can someone help me, or at least repost this as a reply in the Virtuous Fusion ROM thread?
Thanks.
which version are you using i am also using that sense rom v1.0.6 and wifi and bluetooth work fine
I've tried every version, except 1.0.6, but the changes made from .5 to .6 don't sound like they're going to make a difference.
Maybe it is something with my phone, but I've done a full wipe through clockwork recovery with every version and I keep having the problem. The only version that works is 1.0.1.

my last try would be to completely wipe data, cache, and cache partition and reinstall the newest version...if not it could be your kernel perhaps

I've done all that and tried a different kernel, same problem. This is why perhaps I think it might be a bug in the ROM code.
their might be...not all phones react the same to roms but hopefully that bug can be fixed so you can enjoy ur Fusion rom
I had this problem as well. I thought it was caused by an app called "In-app Wifi Toggle" that somehow got backed up by Titanium from my previous ROM, which I restored onto this ROM without thinking. When I uninstalled it, Wifi was working fine.

I tried looking for this app on my phone and it wasn't there, thanks though...
I'm pretty sure that's just a know bug with that Rom. Same with my phone.

Really? I searched the ROM thread and couldn't really find a mention of it...
I am having some difficulties along these lines but not directly effecting bluetooth use, Wifi just cuts in and out even with me being right next to my router. I dont use bluetooth so I cant really recreate the problem to try and find a suitable solution.
My wifi problem might be because I am using 1.0.5 though so updating right now

Well even I'm having the same problem but not just with PAC ROMs...WiFi doesn't work on paranoid android, aokp as well...
Right now I'm running CyanogenMod 11 which is quite stable...have been using it for some time now without any issues...this, and the stock ROM are the only ones where WiFi works for me
If u found a fix please post it ...
My friend had the same problem, his phone could not connect my wifi, but mine could. If you have another phone with wifi try if you can connect.
Sometimes its not phones fault,I fixed my friends problem going to my routers page(192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 Depens what router you are using. )
So I went on routers page, went to Wifi settings and then changed the channel settings(From 01 channel to 04).
And then restarted router.
My friend was able to connect to it right away.
Note:This problem began to appear when he flashed custom rom.
Hope this works for you

Ditto here. Wifis greyed out on most Roms.Add Miui to this list also.. :-/ anyone know what's wrong.. ???
Absolutely NOT router related..
Running pa 4.0 beta here. No issues.
For those flashing KK roms, are you using the latest radio?
Fixed it!

Alright first i want to say sorry for this being my second post in this section.
Down to the problem, i cant seem to get WiFi to work (turns on but wont scan or connect).
I have tried flashing the newest weekly build and reverted back to stable after that didn't work either, but when i tried my backup of cm10 (wich i was using before SlimKat) it worked perfectly fine.
Any suggestions?
I have the newest version of stable SlimKat for d2spr.
My phone is (obviously) d2spr
Thanks guys!

Mine is doing the same thing.
GS3 Sprint Running Slim 4.4.2 build 3-OFFICIAL-3060
I had the same problem once - only full wipe and reflash helped me to get wifi working again
Hello guys,
I've been trying to fix wifi on my Defy since I got the phone a month ago and I'm starting to get really frustrated with this problem.
I usually just read, dont post on forums but I've tried alot of solutions found on this forum and others and. nothing has worked except flashing CM10/11 or SlimRom. Wifi doesn't work properly on stock ROM or MIUI so my guess is it's a framework problem which has been fixed on newer versions because as soon as I swith to android 4.0 or above, I have no problem, but these ROMs eat up alot of the phones resources and I would like to have a more fluent experience so I want to stay on MIUI.
Any other defive connects fine to my Asus router.
So on any gingerbread ROM (stock/custom) wifi works fine a few minutes and then the signal drops and disconnects. After that I can't see any wifi networks in range. and only works again if I enable/disable wifi or activate/deactivate airplane mode, but it drops again after a few minutes.
I've tried changing every setting in the router(changed channels, frequencies, disabled 802.11n mode, changed to g mode, etc), or in the defy related, nothing works unless I flash an android 4.x.
Plz help, I'm desperate.
Thx.

One idea: try getting the Wi-Fi related files from a CM11 rom and use them in a CM7 one. Maybe system/etc/wifi ?

Can you do that? Has anyone tried it? I mean I suppose you mean the wifi drivers, are they compatible with a gingerbread system if they were designed for android 4.x? And if so where/which arethese files? and do I simply replace them like copy/paste?

I used to replace gps.conf with a version that worked better in my country. I never tried with wi-fi files. You could copy-paste them, but I think you should repair permission afterwards.

I'd try using ZUI and checking out if it works or not. This happened to me and it was a hardware issue so best of luck.

I haven't sent it, and I haven't talked with them either so I can't really tell.
I have used resurrection remix for several months & it was perfect, now using Lineage OS & finger print is working fine in it too. Issue is not with nougat based roms, you should troubleshoot in other ways.
