I have problems with VPN connections with the EEA 12.0.5 ROM.
I have the apps on autostart and turned off battery saving, but the VPN keeps shutting down at random times. I have Mullvad and NordVPN.
Are there any more settings i can try? I already tried resetting network settings and reinstalling the VPN apps.
I'm on 12.0.3, vpn kept disconnecting even when screen is on
Have you locked the app?
To do this, open the app, then open the "open apps overview" (button left bottom), long touch the vpn app and select the lock icon. Now it shouldn't be terminated anymore by the system.
I have the same problem here, but with applications like Mifit, Notify for Mi Band, and Kaspersky Internet Security.
I already looked at how to prevent the application from being closed, but I couldn't find any way
I didn't find the lock function in this miui 12.0.5

You are right, that indeed seems to be missing on the Pocophone. I have it on two other Xiaomi phones, but not on this one. Very weird.
Unfortunately this is not the solution. It looked like it was working for some time. But now my VPN still stops randomly.

Maybe the problem is on the VPN.
Yeah that could be the problem. But on other phones it works perfectly.

Thanks for the tip, solved the problem of closing applications when cleaning the memory
However, applications are still closed automatically
Another problem I noticed is when activating screen rotation through the quick menu it is not actually active, you must go to the screen settings to really activate . I don't know if it only occurs in my POCO
Hi @mierlo420, did you get your vpn fixed? I'm using blokada and adguard. Both vpn will be disconnected or app closed after few minutes.
Here also the VPN problem.
I tried with Surfshark and Blokada.
Both services stopped after a few minutes.
On my other devices this works perfect
Some updates. I've installed Xiaomi.eu 12.0.4 for 6 hours. VPN seems to stay connected without issue
Doesn't have this issue on global version (12.0.4)
Nice to hear that it works on other roms.
I will just wait if a future update of the EEA rom fixes the problem. I tried xiaomi.eu but some apps like Amazon Prime Video and my banking app were not working, so i prefer to keep my bootloader locked.
Edit: Just received EEA 12.0.6.0. Looks like it's working now (fingers crossed ).
Still broken here. Can't keep EasyJoin connected for more than 2-3 hours even with battery saver & battery opti. turned off
For me it got a lot better with the latest EEA rom. But also still lose connection sometimes, but maybe 2-3 times a day. I use NordVPN.
This was fixed in MIUI 12.0.8 (global) for me

i installed lightspeed and flex rom both.
at present i more like flex rom because i feel maybe it is more stable and more quick(after start, a little quicker)
both have the following problems:
1.both can't find hidden ssid wifi. i have to show ssid.and i feel the conncetion with wifi is weeker than android 3.2 because away from the same distance, the signal is weaker.
2.in both's email, if you want to show combined view, the email app stops.
3.both can't use facebook and twitter app although i can login in on brower. flex rom can use youtube app and till i un-install lightspeed, it can't.
4.in somes app, such as nfs etc, the backward arrow response slowly, needing waiting the app completes its own process and then you can quit by backward arrow.this arrow response more quick in android

Facebook app from market works just fine on flex roms, I think you need to learn how to clean tablet.
You got to know flashing roms can give corrupted data.
Leftovers from previous rom.
Result conflicts and bad running rom.
I didn't try twitter because I hate it.
I could care less if someone just wiped his a$$ and want to twitter about it.

Actually the problem is a little deeper than that for me. But good advice still.
I can get my Iconia to connect to a hidden network on the first attempt. What I mean by first attempt is that about the only time I can connect is immediately after setting my wifi to not broadcast ssid, then adding the network as you've shown. It connects the first time just fine. But once I roam out of range and come back there is a less than 50/50 chance that my tab will "find" my network again. I just gave up after leaving the house a few times. I don't really care if my ssid is seen anyway. My password's a good, meaningless string of numbers and letters. I doubt that even the neighbors kid can bust through that one...
I'm sure almost everyone has now experienced the freeze that happens sometimes when the device comes out of deep sleep, usually for a couple seconds.
I (personally) think its the only thing from making this ROM pretty near perfect. I have been trying to get to the bottom of this freezing issue for a few days and I'm sure a lot of other people have been trying too!
I have disable a whole bunch of things, and since it seems it could be related to WiFi (as many are reporting) I started disabling and uninstalling apps in different stages. Iv ended up with the following (see screenshots) disabled/uninstalled and have been repeatedly locking and unlocking the device (letting it enter deep sleep first of course) and have yet to experience the bug again.
Maybe it doesn't work for you, but perhaps someone can pick up from here and we can all get to the bottom of the problem! It might be impossible at this stage and may simply require a newer leak/release of JB for the i9100.

I have not freezed, deleted all the extra functionalities and stuff, but the problem is still there, even worst on wifi. I gave u a thank for make a step up to try to solve the problem
I have removed almost every single samsung app from syatem. Using apex instead of TW. Always have wifi turned off. Because i use my data plan. As its unlimited. I have this problem all the time. Is there anything i can do to help? Logcat or anything.

I think its a touch panel driver problem but better to do a logcat if you have time for this. I also have experienced the problem when trying to end a call.

Yes, last night I was using logcat and when the screen came on and froze the logcat contained data such as waiting for input, loading mali driver for touch recognition. I laso thought it could be related to motion control, as if its waiting for acceleration from it so as to use the camera motion shortcut etc but alas disabling motion didnt help either
Will upload a logcat or two later after college today!
It also happened to me too when trying to end a call after the screen came back on after taking the phone away from my eat. Ive also noticed that when the screen comes on and touch is unresponsive. The menu and back keys at the bottom are not lit. And after 4/5 seconds they light up and then it is working. Will post a logcat when i next experience it.

Tried many lock screen apps including the stock one, random freezing with all of them with wifi on. Have been using Holo Locker for a couple of days, seems to fix the problem.

I get around it like another user suggested,
I have a tasker that turns my wifi off when the screen goes off.
I also have phenomenal battery life this way. It is definitely a wifi issue.

It can't be that you disabled "leave WIFI active in standby" because it works for some apps.
Do you use Greenify or something?

Did you do a factory reset? Try another WLAN (router)?

I was wondering if all three power management toggles need to be disabled. Could someone test it by only disabling "allow deep sleep" & keeping others on? Thanks
I'm having this problem now too, even with all the power management features disabled
not just a spotify issue. i use play and have same issue. Reboot usually fixes it. started happening with b29 update
I solved my problem by setting up tasker to start Google play when phone connected to
Stereo system in my truck via Bluetooth and seems to have eliminated the problem for me.
This is a recurrent problem with the Axon 7 and it's driving me nuts. You can get Spotify to work by rebooting your phone, but within about a day it's somehow reset itself to turn off when the screen goes off. Disabling all power savings features does not make a difference long-term, or short-term for that matter anymore.
There's over 150 messages about it on ZTE forums. I've contacted ZTE tech support about it and they said they have no timeline for a fix. As Spotify is my main music app, and I bought the Axon 7 for it's superior audio, it'll be going back before my 30 day return window is up if there's no movement or any more acknowledgement from ZTE. Too bad, pretty great phone otherwise.

I've a OP 8Pro running on Android 11 (11.0.9.9.IN11BBA), since the last hot fix with the recent security updates and fixes released by OP I'm facing an issue when using mobile data, if i try to browse google discover services I get the prompt as if i'm not connected to internet, then when trying to browse on google chrome i get the error "ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES", however, if i open pages in private mode all is working fine, other services like WhatsApp or others apps are working fine and there is internet connection through 4G.
I tried clear up cache & data of google apps, reinstall google apps, reset default APN from the carrierr, reboots and other suggestions I've found browsing around forums but so far no luck... and is currently frustrating since common google things are not working.

I've been struggling with this problem for more than a year and came up with the conclusion it has something to do with planned obsolescence or Oneplus phone.
My Android phone is 5 years old (Oneplus 5T) and I have the issue only with google apps. I've also tried to clear up cache & data of google apps, reinstall google apps, reset default APN from the carrierr, reboots and other suggestions but absolutely no change at all.
I found a temporary solution:
Whenever the app is not working, disable and enable mobile data and go back to the app .
It works for me for every google app but chrome.
I decided to buy a new phone with Black Friday and the issue is solved on the new phone, but I couldn't add any of my current credit cards to google wallet, because of a more annoying and unsolvable bug...
Since the new phone did not offer a huge User Experience difference from Oneplus I'm returming the phone and went back to my old OnePlus.
For the chrome issue I've decided to switch to another default browser and voilà!

Seeing that it seemed related to OnePlus phones from every message in the thread I just called OnePlus support and got the following troubleshooting:
1) Go to Google Play Store settings and set App Download preferences to "Ask me everytime"
2) Open Google Play Store App info, then reach the 3dots menu on the top right and uninstal updates.
3) It will ask if you want to replace the app with Factory Version. Tap Yes
4) Do the same for every Google App having issues
5) You might need to restart the phone or the apps won't work
The key is to NEVER update the apps again and make sure they wont update automatically. It's kind of annoying to say the least but (for now...) I won't have to buy another phone.

Hi, need to add that I've LG G8s, not an OnePlus. But the exact same symptoms. Reverting the GApps isn't a possibility for me, since LG rolled out 2 big updates, the last one before christimas, bringing the device to Android 12.
I tried several things the last months:
e.g. I tried the SIM card of my girlfriend, who has another provider, and everything worked on mobile data. So I asked my provider for a new SIM card, reset APN, no changes, no GApps working...
I then ended up hard resetting the device and installing everything from the scratch again, no change.
But I've made another interesting observation... Installing a VPN (WIndscribe) and connecting to it while on mobile data will make all GApps work again. As soon as I disconnect, the're offline again?!
So my conclusion as a noob, there must be some wrong settings (in the system, google dependent), which even with hard reset an APN reset aren't fixed. Any ideas?
