I recently purchased & installed a double-din Chinese-made radio in my car. It is WINCE 6.0 based.
(As a new member I can't yet post links, but the unit can be found on ebay by searching for "8" Car SUV Stereo GPS NAV DVD Player Radio BT HONDA CR-V 2007-2011"
It wasn't my original intention for this unit, but since I learned that it is web-enabled I thought I might investigate what is required to make that work. The unit is supposed to be able to access the internet with a 3G SIM card, although for the life of me I don't see a SIM card slot anywhere on the unit- any ideas where this is?
Alternatively I wonder if there is a way to connect a 3G or 4G USB dongle to the unit, a wifi dongle, or perhaps use bluetooth DUN to connect to the internet through an app such as PDAnet.
I have been searching the web specifically for this info and the closest I have come is through this forum, but not specifically what I'm looking for.
Thanks,
Jesse in Atlanta
Bonjour si votre autoradio et équipée 3G WIFI vous devez avoir un câble usb pas celui ou on branche devant mais celui qui sort derrière il faut en plus un dongle usb pour mettre la puce 3g ou 4g ou une clé usb wifi
hi Jesse,
I got a wifi 3g win ce6 car radio head unit on ebay too. About $299
Well I tried to attach several win ce wifi usb dongles and the win ce radio would not detect them. I even used total commander through the navi set program to install cabs for several usb wifi dongles and 3g dongles but the unit will still not detect them when I plug them into the head unit.
I talked to the ebay seller about the problem and he just said I will give you $20 refund because He has no idea how to help me.
Yes I understand how frustrating this is. These chinese headunits are cheaper but they have no Customer support.

Waze & Interent connection for Win CE 6.0 aftermarket car unit
Hi,
I have a Windows CE 6.0 aftermarket car unit.
As one mentioned here before, it's capabilities are more than what I expected.
However, this is still one issue I need to resolve:
How to connect my Unit to the Internet?
For example, I was able to install the Waze application on it (someone posted the Portuguese version), but it is useless without an internet connection.
My preferred option will be to connect the unit to my iPhone hotspot:
1. Bluetooth - Although the unit have a Bluetooth support and it is paired to my iPhone, I'm not sure if it can use for using the BT for connecting to the hotspot
2. USB - hot spot can be used with USB cable connection - can I use it to get an internet connection? what do I need to install?
3. WiFi/3G dongle - I guess this is also a possibility.
I know that any solution will require some work to be done on the unit (drivers, etc..).
Any Help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Yo-C

Hi, have you solved this shomehow? I cannot even find installation cab file for WIndows CE
Sorry to bump an old thread. Just a quick heads up. I'm running a Chinese unit on my 2016 Mustang and It runs WinCE 6.0 I worked with a manufacturer to build a dongle and also that works with the chip I told them to use and I built my own driver. It is definitely possible to have WiFi on WinCE whatever unit you're running! You want more info about it just check out the website I dedicated to my unit http://stangatx.tk/
Does anyone knows how to update Android Car Head Unit AC8227 "Android Version", as mine is currently running on 5.1.1 and does anyone know the password for System Upgrade? Tried many numbers but still not successful.
By the way I have problem with playing YouTube as certain video is unable to be played and I'm also having problem with the sound as when I'm playing music from Spotify or Deezer it's not as powerful as compared to playing on YouTube or Radio.
Any kind soul willing to help? Your help is much appreciated.

Hello friends, I have a problem with my camera. I have connected everything according to the instructions, but when I engage the reverse gear the screen changes to a black image with an exclamation mark and I do not see anything.
I searched the internet and I saw that cars with canbus have black image or interference problems, it can be fixed by placing a relay between the camera and the reversing light. I installed it but it still doesn't work and I don't know what to do. Buy another camera, check with another new rca video cable...
And finally I think that my radio may not be compatible with the camera I have.
When I bought it I didn't look closely and there are two versions, one is cvbs and the other is ahd. I bought cvbs and my radio is an essgoo zxdz _01. Will it be a compatibility problem?
I need your help please. Greetings and many thanks in advance

Fixed, the problem was the rear connection to the radio. The cable that receives the image from the camera is attached to the WiFi and Bluetooth antenna. When I connected it I did it the other way around, the connections worked fine "that's why I didn't think it was a bad connection" but when I checked the connections again I realized that it was connected but on the contrary. WiFi and Bluetooth worked fine, wifi with less coverage but fine.
Just connect video jack, wifi, bluetooth well. And when you activate reverse, the camera is activated without problems. It's a bit long but I hope it can help. I am Spanish speaking and I have to translate everything with Google xD.
A hug for everyone!!!
Hey,
I am having the same exact issue. However the backup camera works for about 10 hours and then stops working again. The only way I've been able to get it to start is by reseting the unit to factory settings.
I saw a video on YouTube that there may be a compatibility issue and I have to change the camera settings but there is no option anywhere in the settings to access the backup camera. Have you been successful at locating the backup camera settings by chance?

I got an Atoto S8 g2 to replace an older head unit, and customer support mentioned that there is a beta firmware that will allow Wireless Android Auto (finally!), so I reached out and they gave me a link to try it.
It works pretty well on my Galaxy S10, it seems the special sauce is the new app for connecting to your phone, CarLink 2.0 (previous firmware was 1.x). But I'm actually finding that it connects too easily, and sometimes I want it NOT to reconnect automatically to my phone. With cabled Android Auto, at least I had the choice not to plug it in if I wanted to use my head unit's features instead of my phone's, but now it seems to want to connect every time I start the car, and leaving it running in the background is a battery hog on my phone. Sure, I could just plug my phone in every time I drive, but then what's the point of wireless Android Auto?!
I'm wondering if there's a tweak or way we can choose to have Carlink connect only when we open the app instead of having it try to connect every time the car starts. I tried to reach out to Atoto about it, but I'm getting the picture that they just license Carlink from another company, but I can't figure out who makes it. I see Joying and other Android units are also using Carlink, so who is behind this software? Who can I speak to about feature requests / bug fixes / etc? I'm actually really curious what the story is behind this app.

I have the same head unit can you describe exactly how you set it up?
You have to reach out to Atoto support and ask for the beta firmware. They'll give you a link for the correct one for your device and specific instructions. I don't know if what they gave me is universal and I don't want to get in trouble with them for sharing something they don't want public.

Awesome!
It's pretty sweet, right?
The only thing I don't like is the way it doesn't shut off when the car does. These units apparently are designed to stay active for 5 min after you shut off the car, which is annoying. Watch on your phone when you leave the car, it still thinks it is connected to the head unit!

I haven't used it yet. I'm still using the head unit reloaded wireless method but I wanted to try the method you mentioned because you seemed to get better connection time than I currently get. I just did a whole suspension over haul on my jeep which tied up my time. I will try the file atoto sent me soon though after I update my oneplus 8 to android 12.
Can you explain how to get the car to link up as fast as it does for you?, my phone says finish on radio but, radio just stays stuck on connecting.
*Edit, factory reset radio and, connected phone to radio bluetooth 1 and, everything works perfectly. I'm love the wireless connection as soon as I get in the car and turn the key. Connects in under 10 seconds
excuse me i have carlink and it connects first time but if i turn the ignitoion off then back on .. it does not reconnect again , any possible fixes ?

Hola, será posible que me puedas compartir la aplicación?
Mod translation: Hello, will it be possible that you can share the application with me?
so my Android Unit for my CRV uses something called AutoLink for wireless carplay/AA. My last unit had CarLink 2.0 and i felt that it worked better. I installed carlink on this unit but i cant get it to connect. What can i do to get this to work? Thanks in advance for your help

Can I ask whether Carlink 2.0 will work on any Android head unit and phone that have the hardware requirements? I'm currently looking for a new Chinese head unit, and the majority of them suitable for my car only support wired Android Auto (but they all support wireless Apple Car Play).
Is it just a case of installing and configuring this app, and I can get wireless AA?
It seems to have some dependencies tied into the system, might not be a simple side-load-apk sort of thing.
Ah thanks. Guess I'll have to ensure I buy one that has wireless AA already built in

Yes it works flawlessly for both
Hello everyone,
tried to search but this issued seems to be an unique, so...
I bought this android head unit from Junsun for my Audi TT Mk2, everything works fine except for bluetooth calls: when I call or receive calls, I can hear the other person but he can't absolutely hear me. It should be an MTK8667 according to seller.
It is not a microphone issue (I installed an external one from FISCON), because it works correctly by 4G calls and also with google assistant etc.
I tried to pair and test call also with an additional phone (my main phone is a Huawei P30 Pro, I tried also with a Samsung J6) to no avail.
It seems like bluetooth doesn't pick any signal from the mic to send out, even if I scream into it... no sound on the counterpart.
Perhaps it worked after installation, I can't be sure though because since the beginning I mainly used the 4G call by google assistant.
I tried also to rollback 4G,Bluetooth,WIFI to Factory settings, to no avail.
I noticed though that in the app permission list of bluetooth system app, among many others, microphone for this particular app doesn't show! It is neither allowed nor disallowed, it just isn't there and I wonder if this could be the issue. Though I didn't find an option to add the permission or force it in any way.
Unfortunately, support by Junsun is not going anywhere, after several days of useless chatting, they told me to send back radio in China for testing out. Which is out of discussion, as I asked them if they had a firmware update or at least bluetooth APK update and not willing to return a near-perfectly working radio for this issue.
Please if you have any ideas, feel free to share.
Thanks!
