i have only access to download mod, what should i do to bring back my phone to life please

first time posting but i'm stuck on the recovery screen on my htc legend and the recovery-windows.bat is no longer doing it's job it crashed on me right after i performed a wipe to install a new rom now i can't boot to any rom as there is none and i can't get past the recovery image screen.

some extra information i can still get to the bootloader menu and navigate through that. when i turn on i see htc logo then screen goes black

anyway update turns out the boot animation wasn't show so when i left it alone to do some research it booted into the rom. now my problem is that it my phone will no longer see my sd card i tryed grabbing a spare one i had and wouldn't reconise it ether any help would be great

I had an AOKP rom on my sph-l720 and was working properly. Then I tried to install this stock rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486134
Somewhere around the time i was flashing the rom from within mobile odin, my phone stopped booting.
Now on boot i see the Samsung s4 logo screen then phone turns off. If I try to boot into recovery, i see the blue writing "Recovery Booting..." but then phone turns off again.
Can someone help me atleast get back to recovery so I can try flashing another rom and get my phone running properly again.
I can get into download mode and have tried flashing TWRP a few times with odin which says it PASSED then phone restarts and turns off again.
Anyone have any advice for me?

Personally, I think I would go into download mode and odin back to stock. Then if you want you can reroot and flash another recovery. Here is a link to really good post that probably has everything you need. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303917
hello everybody, i have lg g2 (ls980) and i can't boot it into download mode. only into TWRP. what shall i do?
whenever i try to go into download mode i get black screen and red LED.

also tried to flash cloudy's rom, getting an error nearly the end of the flashing. same goes for Mahdi's ROM.
it happened after i flashed simple rom v1.2 which simply f***ed my phone.

A brief history
I have a LG G2 D802 with Cyanogenmod 13 installed, It was working fine for a month or so. I used to flash CM13 nightlies and use comfortably. I use the TWRP recovery. Every now and then, there used to be the "error updating from zip" while flashing, but have managed to reflash and make things work somehow. Worst case scenario, I used to put the phone in download mode and flash stock Lollipop rom and then root and flash CM 13.
Current Situation-Problem
Last week while flashing the latest CM 13 nightly, the "error updating from zip" came and then whatever I tried couldn't make the phone boot normally. Finally decided to go into download mode and flash stock Lollipop rom. Unfortunately, half way through the process, the flash tool showed an error and I made the dumbest decision of pulling the usb cable from the laptop. Post that, the phone is always booting to LG boot logo and staying put. I tried rebooting to recovery and putting it in download mode, so many times. Every time I am greeted by the stubborn LG logo mocking me at my frustration
Please let me know your thoughts. If I can manage to put it into download mode somehow, I am confident of bringing my G2 back to life. Kindly assist me with your inputs.

About 2 months ago I couldn't access Download Mode and I realized that it was probably because I couldn't really turn off the phone, like we can do to any phones with removable battery. So I've searched YouTube and found some videos teaching how to remove back cover and unplug the battery pin. After doind that I've waited about 30 seconds, replugged it and tried to access Download Mode and... violà, success
Note that you don't have to remove the battery, just unplug the pin, so the phone turns off completely.
I have rooted my Moto G4 plus and I'm using TWRP to recovery but after changing my phone rom to Resurrection Rom and I rolled back to official room but I'm facing issue with power on and restarting my phone . When Eva I do it will boot to recovery mode in even if i restart also same problem I'm getting .so to boot normal i have to go bootloader and then I have take start option to boot my phone normally . Please let me know how to resolve this issue I need my phone to boot like normal rather than going automatically to recovery mode
