Avison N8 (8227L) buttons and volume knob not working - Android Head-Units

Hello and first up apologies if you've had this particular issue before. I bought an Avison N8 headunit for my Skoda Fabia which seems to be another 8227L model, but recently it crashed and brought me into a back menu, and on leaving that hidden settings screen the hardware buttons including the volume knob had stopped working. The touch screen still works but it is quite frustrating.
I've been able to get back into the hidden menu and tried touch study but there's no button study like on similar models. I've tried a factory reset but no luck. Any ideas?
I've attached some pictures of the unit and the menus in case it helps.
Cheers.

Apologies, I'm just not familiar with the terminology.

Bump for any advice? I'm getting pretty desperate here.

Try to ask the seller for a update or replacement firmware..the volume buttons need a very specific key.ini that only is available with the seller..I had the same issue, the seller provided me a firmware and it fixed it..

i wish I had that launcher..its beautiful..

These Chinese Headunits rarely give updates. If its working fine, don't mess up with the settings/changes. Just try one of these launchers

Erisin device that doesn't exist ??

Hi all,
a couple of weeks ago i bought me a 8inch android headunit, fitted for vw/skoda/seat.
The sellers advert says its an Erisin DU8015, now when i'm looking on erisin's website, that model isn't listed at all ??
it is an MTCD LM unit, RK3188, 1gb ram... the usual. factory settings password is 3368
I want to know for sure, before updating to malaysk's rom which seems to be a lot better than the original software that it came with... before i install it and find out there might be issues, i would want to make sure i can go back to the original software if needed.
Does anyone have an idea ?

-when i google / youtube the erisin du8015 it seems to be a wince version, but it's actually an android 5.1.1 looking quite similar too joying etc. (a load of look-a-likes found when you search 8inch vw, but all with different hardware key layouts)

Joying 10.1" screen

Wanted to see if anyone knew where I could get a Joying 10.1" screen to run on my unit? I have an 8" unit that the screen cracked so figured if I was going to pay to upgrade might as well go larger. When I reached out to Joying they said they did not have any and it would not work, well I have a few Joying units so I tried the 10.1" screen on my 8" unit above my 13.3" setup and can say that it will work just fine. Now just need to find a screen, I had them not put the Joying logo on mine but a beggar can't be a chooser. Anyone able to help?

Not MTCB type, posted in wrong forum, try [Android Head units] after reading the forum and searching. When unable to do that, contact your reseller for support first.
I actually have done both, as it says in the post I have reached out to the manufacturer but they say it won't work which is clearly does. I have searched this forum to see if I could find anything but figure it may not have been post worthy for someone to have a Joying unit go bad but still have a screen that works

YT5760B Lexus IS250 Stereo

Hi everyone,
My head unit started to not go into sleep mode anymore and would take 5 to 15 mins or even more to boot up. I tried all options in the engineering test mode setting. Sometimes it would freeze too.
I've tried doing a factory reset several times as well as re-flashing the firmware (tried two different) ones. I was told not to use the "computer paint brush" firmware, which I do not know what it means.
Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Is unit an MTCD type unit, post Android system information including MCU version

I believe it is MTCD.
It booted up this morning, but froze. Now it is stuck on the Android screen.
I put in the USB flash zip file on a stick connected to the USB port, but it does nothing. I think for these radios, you have to get it to boot up before it works.

Really??? You just need to read...
TS10.1.1
But be careful. These french cars are quite hard to get the units working.
If you can, get in contact with the seller and ask for updates. DonĀ“t just update something you find in this forum, take care that this is usable for Peugeot/Citroen, otherwise you run into other bad stuff.
Steering wheel app is in the firmware, but as I can see this seems to be a car where the steering wheel buttons are controlled by the CAN and in this case the buttons should have the standard functionality.
So... 2 possible things to check:
1. no can adapter box attached to the unit
2. wrong car set up in the CAN settings.

iDrive shows black/blank screen on Android headunit (F10 with CIC)

Hi all.
I installed an aftermarket headunit for my F10 535d with CIC system.
After installation by myself, the Android headunit itself works, but when I double click on the menu button/press My BMW try to get to iDrive menu, it just show black/blank screen.
I did not disconnect the battery when I install it, which I really regret about this.
Since I cannot go to the iDrive screen I cannot select AUX output to test the sound yet.
May I ask if anyone know how to get iDrive works properly on the aftermarket headunit?
Tried to contact the seller but no response yet.
Thanks!

Hi, can you provide system info ? Take snapshot of device infotainment - info of device..
Just want to report back so can help others.
The issue as simple as you need to go to Android menu->Factory Settings->Enter password your seller provided->Select your iDrive system (i.e. CCC/CIC/NBT/EVO) resolution (i.e. 640/1080)
Password can be 0000/1234/1314/7890/8888/9999 or others depends on which seller you got it from.
Once selected and go to MyBMW, you should have your iDrive screen.
If not, that could be other problem causing the Black/Blank screen.
Hope this can help someone.
