So yesterday I'm trying to flash Pixel Experience custom rom on my Galaxy S7 Edge Exynos and I'm using floyd rom v4, so i flashed it and it's successful but i can't get passed google logo screen and it stuck for way too long. Then i tried to flash lineage os 17.1 and this time it got to Lineage logo but then it boot back to recovery. I tried adb sideload to install it that also didn't work, in the end i tried flashing floyd rom v5 and that worked beautifully. Can anyone help me as i really want to experience the Pixel experience. Oh and I'm using TWRP 3.4.0.

Yep, you format both, especially going from one ROM to another.
Data is your personal settings, app stuff etc,
System is the operating system (To put it simply).
If you have old ROM files leftover in the system folder, when you flash a new one they will conflict with each other.
It needs to be a clean install

folders to format when swapping from one rom to another (oneui samsung rom to aosp, or different aosp to aosp):
dalvik
cache
data
system
when you are on an aosp rom, and are updating the same rom to a newer version, you can normally get away without wiping data

1. Try wiping cache and dalvik cache in recovery, are the mods suited for odexed roms?

No user data will be wiped, only system data as you are about to flash another (deodexed) system.

To flash a kernel all I need to do is to go to recovery mode,
Install zip from sd card,
Choose zip from SD card,
Pick the kernel's zip file,
Press yes and reboot the system?
Don't I need to wipe anything like when flashing a new rom?
And should I flash the kernel and then the ROM and GApps,
Or flash the ROM and GApps and then flash the kernel?
If my device acts weird after I flashed the kernel,
And I did a nandroid backup before that (I backed up with a ROM and stock kernel),
After I restore it, will everything be like what it was before I flashed the kernel (Will I have to flash the ROM again?)

Yes thats how you install a kernel. Some people say to wipe cache and dalvik after installing, but its up to you.
Flash rom, gapps, then kernel.
When you restore the nandroid it will restore everything, including the rom and kernel that were installed at the time of taking the backup.
So yes...if stuff starts acting up, and you restore your nandroid that you took while on stock rom/kernel it should fix the issues. You dont have to flash the rom again...its included in the nandroid.

Not 100% sure, but f you wipe them your dalvik will be rebuilt on the next boot, and your cache will also be rebuilt once the system actually boots.
Theres no harm in wiping them.

you never have to wipe anything when flashing a kernel, nothing, regardless of what others say. the dalvik nor the cache have anything to do with kernels. its like taking a shower and washing your socks to put gas into your car.

your device will be ok wiping dalvik and cache, but there is no need to do it. there is never any need to wipe anything when flashing a kernel.

try both, they are both good kernels. i use trinity, but francisco makes a good kernel too.

if you want, keep the current rom/kernel and the previous. thats probably the smartest way, in case one is buggy. but, at least, keep a copy of the current rom/kernel in your storage at all times, itll save you headaches later.
when you update a rom, flash it in your custom recovery. flash the rom, gapps if needed, and the kernel, the reboot. if youre just updating, you dont have to wipe anything. but if you are flashing a new rom, you do have to wipe data/factory reset.

I installed one S8 Port, and then tried another (Dirty Flash)
Then, i wanted to move back to the original S8 port i used. I did a clean install Wiped Storage Data and Davilk cache. But i still see some traces of the previous ROM? Ie like the launcher etc?
Should i format data again aswell? (I did this when i first flashed the first ROM, coming from stock?) or is there another sequence i should use?

Dirty flash is only used idf you do not want to lose data.

Follow this
-First and the foremost point, remove any kind of security/screen locks. Remove all the fingerprints & set the lock screen lock to none.
- Flash latest Stock Oreo build, along with it's firmware.
- Download latest build & gapps.
- Boot into latest TWRP.
- Wipe system, cache & data.
- Flash the ROM & TWRP installer.
- REBOOT BACK TO RECOVERY & flash gapps
- Reboot and ENJOY

I tried installing a lineageos 15.1 ROM, but didn't work for me. I loaded the 7.1 ROM on the system, I wiped for a clean install, but could not find the storage path in the root. So I loaded it onto a usb drive and connected to my phone, tried installing, but I'm getting an error saying "Can't install this package on top of incompatible data." I have installed many ROMs from a usb before, don't know why I'm getting this. If anybody can help me, thank you.

Yes, but I didn't wipe internal storage. For some reason I cannot find the storage path in the root.
You could use twrp to wipe as well.

No, as I said, lineageos 15.1. I did use twrp to wipe specifically System, Dalvik, Cache, and Data.
Only other possible solution I can think of would be to flash the latest stock ROM and start over.

Hi, the stock ROM is loaded! Thanks! But...I'm getting a problem where the T-mobile splash screen is just there, the OS isn't loading. The brightness is at the lowest but flashes to the highest every 14 or so seconds. How can I fix this porblem?

I flashed the latest firmware from updato, I didn't factory reset. Do I do that from twrp or the stock, because I already have twrp on it.
Try twrp first. If that doesn't fix it, use stock recovery.
