So im having a problem with my OnePlus 6t Mclaren Edition. I have followed a guide i found on google from droid views but am having a problem when it comes to loading the temp TWRP image through fastboot.
I have unlocked the bootloader on the phone using Fastboot oem unlock and it worked just fine. but now when i boot the phone into fastboot mode, and type fastboot boot twrp-x3.2.3xxxxxxx.img the phone screen flashes and all thats on the screen is the oneplus logo and nothing else appears. ive let it sit but nothing... i have to hold the power and volume up keys to get the phone to restart and then it boots fine. i just cant get the temp TWRP img to load so i can sideload the zip file to the phone. any ideas?
You need twrp3.4.0 by maurofrino available in another thread

I rooted my oneplus 2 some time ago to install the Screencast.app that there was on the oneplus one. I then after a while noticed that it started to perform worse than before i rooted it, so i decided to try to unroot it to fix the performance. But when i rebooted to fastboot and tried to flash the stock recovery, it said that the bootloader was locked. I then tried doing the unlock command (fastboot oem unlock), and it seemed to work (although - it didnt - in cmd it said finish but when i booted into bootloader again it was still locked) but when my phone tried to reboot, there was i quick flash of the oneplus logo and then the screen went blank. When i tried turning it off, i just rebooted and did the same thing. I could not boot into recovery either. The only thing i could do was booting into fastboot and from there i managed to use the command fastboot continue and restart my phone properly. So now i cant use my recovery to factory reset, i cant install a new recovery because the bootloader is locked, and now every time my phones powers off, i have to do the same thing with booting into fastboot and do the fastboot continue command to start it.
Can anyone tell me what the issues is here and how i can solve it?
I have the same problem, but once I got the phone to boot, I did a factory reset. Now I'm unable to even boot, literally the only thing that works is fastboot.
I had a v20 with a bad flashlight and bought another v20 to take parts from but since the first V20's flashlight started working again I would like to try and get this second one going.
At the initial boot it has the pinkish arrow ! and says "Your device is corrupt. It cannot be trusted and will not boot. Visit this link on another device: g.go/ABH
I try to enter download mode and the download mode screen flashes for a split second, then displays the corrupt message again. I can get into fastboot but cant push or flash any files because it is OEM locked.
Fastboot oem unlock fails
Fastboot flash recovery.img results in error: cannot determine image filename for 'recovery.img'
Any idea on how I can get this up and running or is it dead forever? Thanks!
Nope, it is is boned. Whoever you bought it from locked the bootloader while they still had a modified boot, recovery or laf partition. There is no way to unlock the bootloader since the phone won't boot. Fastboot won't allow it since OEM unlock is no longer enabled, and you can't enable it since you can't boot the phone (catch-22).
LG is the only one that can fix that phone now.
Throw it back on eBay for parts...

I have a h918 and after many hours on google was able to get tarp updated and get back to root status. I thought everything was finally going right but I tried to put lineage 14 on my phone and everything was good till I rebooted and after LG logo it's just a flickering black screen. I pulled battery and rebooted into twrp but I'm back to the old version with the password screen and it not reading my storage so I can't do a restore. Anybody know how to get the newer twrp img through my computer to the phone and bypass my current messed up veraion all together and how to get the working version of twrp to stay on my phone
Hello and thanks in advance for taking out time to help me out here. I did something stupid. I had successfully rooted my new 6t and all was good until i turned off oem unlocking and usb debugging in developer mode. Wheni restarted my phone things went bad. Cant access bootloader or fastboot by pressing the power and volume up buttons. My pc wont recognize the phone so cant reflash or reboot into stock.
What shall i do.
Did you try fastboot devices
and fastboot oem unlock ?
Then I'd flash Oxygen from OnePlus website.
I used BluSpark on my 3T. Apparently, they have TWRP for 6T through BluSpark: https://oneplus.gadgethacks.com/how-to/install-twrp-recovery-your-oneplus-6t-0190296/
If that doesn't help go for the MSMtool.

If you get it booted again.
Try adb devices..... if recognized. Type..... adb reboot bootloader...
Then.... fastboot devices.
Also use TWRP fajita 3.2.3-8
I've had great luck with that one.. I rooted my 6T with blue spark but then switched to Fajita 3.2.3-8.
Uninstalled magisk and the screen is black, only vibrates when pressing power button or the right side of the screen. I don't even know how to turn off the phone. I was able to do it because the warning of the bootloader being unlocked appears. How I can flash stock rom? abd won't recognize the phone.
I saw https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-6t-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-oos-9-0-5-t3867448 this while searching but I'm scared since it locks the bootloader after.
Thank you

Can you get into fastboot? Hold down both volume buttons together and see if you can force your device into fastboot mode. Then from there, get the TWRP img file and use fastboot to boot the image, then flash the stock OOS rom, either from TWRP install option or with adb sideload of you're comfortable doing that.

I can, could you link me to a tutorial how to boot the image? I got it already, but unsure of how to proceed. Many thanks!
edit: now when I connect it to the PC it stays on the warning that the boot loader is unlocked
Now I was able to start TWRP but I still don't know how to send the file to the phone;
ADB recognizes the phone when TWRP is running
I think it's solved, thanks a bunch!
Recently got a hold on the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 6T. Already have a OnePlus5 running LineageOS as well and thought the installation would go as smooth.
Following these directions, I got through unlocking the bootloader (with the unlock_code.bin from OnePlus) and I thought I'd gone through flashing a custom recovery. I was able to boot into fastboot, ran # fastboot flash boot lineage-18.1-20210506-recovery-fajita.img, and shutoff the device. Now I'm stuck in a bootloop at the screen indicating that the device has been unlocked and data can't be verified.
While still connected to my PC, any combination of Power + Volume keys will flash the display and instantly go back to the bootload screen. The only way to shut-off the phone is to disconnect it and do either Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume Up + Volume Down; Power + Volume Down to try and boot into recovery does nothing. Plugging in the phone while off auto-starts it back to the bootload loop.
I can turn on the phone while disconnected, but the only way to escape the bootload loop is to boot straight into fastboot with Power + Volume Up + Volume Down. From here I can connect it to the computer and it's seen as a fastboot device. From here, however, any of the options will reboot into the bootloop.
Is there anything I can do from here? It's not a hard-brick, but I'm not sure why I'm stuck in a loop. The flashing of the recovery seems to have worked, no issues with A/B as stated could happen in the docs. I'm at a loss.
Code:
Sending 'boot_a' (65536 KB) OKAY [ 1.573s]
Writing 'boot_a' OKAY [ 0.365s]
Finished. Total time: 1.947s
Data can't be verified? It does let you run fastboot commands, just not send files?
Most people on this device use TWRP. I have a guide here.

Yes, I can get the fastboot menu, but trying to boot from the lineage recovery image would take me straight to the warning page indicating the device is unlocked and to not store confidential data.
I just tried using the guide you posted to go with TWRP, but I'm having issues again with booting the recovery. Followed every step: downloaded the ROMs, flashed them all to the phone as per your script, was able to boot, chose the language and wiped, and once in the phone rebooted into the bootloader. But similar to before, I run # fastboot boot twrp-3.5.2_9-0-fajita.img, but now the phone seems to be stuck on the OnePlus logo with the words Fastboot Mode underneath.

You may need to start over. I the unfortunate part here is the TMobile 6T is a bit different and complicates things. Recent TMobile MSM Tools have been posted in the TMobile thread, they just aren't in the OP. I'll be honest I don't follow the TMobile devices, so I don't know much about what's best to use between versions and international tools and what not. There are a few TMobile users that posted in my Guide thread that you may want to tag and see if they can help?
