Has anyone been able to find a way to get the 8T Cyberpunk Theme and boot animation ported over to the 8 pro? I would love to run that on my phone!

Theres already a thread for this.
Look in the renovation ice thread in unified development.
If you do activate the theme DO NOT remove the RICE module without deactivating it.. You will lose your built in themes.

I was looking at that, its awfully new and a bit sketchy, i'm in the telegram channel watching it, still trying to decide if i want to take the plunge...
I have found the ringtones, notification tones, system sounds, live wallpaper, icons, and boot animation. The problem right now is i cant find anything to theme the device (this might require rice or substratum or something along those lines), and none of the icons i install will show up in Nova Launcher.
I'm running it and all is smooth as butter. Give it a shot well worth it. Just make sure you get everything. Wallpaper pack, audio pack, font and theme.

Lol you call buddy, I installed it and it wasn't for me so removed the module.
Theme disappeared and it borked my home theme, had to system wipe.
So disable the theme If you remove the mod.. Besides that it's quite safe..

I use lawn chair launcher and no issues.
So I installed it, and i dont see anything that allows me to install or flash a theme, just a few options to change things around... There's some good options, but im confused about this, maybe there's something I dont understand? I was looking for a way to get the theme from the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 limited edition phone on mine. This RICE mod doesnt appear to do that.
I also just noticed that i can go into my phones settings, but tapping on anything at all just closes the settings, and sometimes i get an error asking me if i want to close the settings app.
Ok.. how do i reboot my phone? Its now locked up in a weird way.. I can turn the screen on and off, it doesnt ask for my fingerprint anymore it just goes to the desktop... The wallpaper is animated, but i cant tap anything at all. I can hold the power button to bring up the power button, but again i cant tap anything... gdi!!!
Update: Now i can no longer turn my phone on...
Update 2: It just rebooted on me, thank god...
Update 3: Its doing it again already, i didnt do anything.. I'm removing it first chance i get... thats just my luck.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand now my phone is stuck on the boot animation and i cant turn it off, reboot it, or do anything....

Relax, there's still things you can try prior to wiping your phone. Since you flashed RiCE but you didn't pay attention to disabling the theme prior to disabling the module you borked your SystemUI.
What you can do is adb push a stock SystemUI to your phone and fastboot flash a stock boot.img which should get you up and running.

Jesus, avoid that mate.
Power your phone off, press and hold power until it does.
Power on then when you get to the bootloader is unlocked warning..hold vol up and down then wait until it boots.
You'll be in safe mode.
Reboot once more and you'll have all your magisk modules disabled..then just remove what you don't want and enable what you do.
Chances are the ROM is incompatible with something you have installed
Thanks dladz! I wasn't aware of safe mode, but that fixed it!
I wonder what happened? It appeared to be working fine, but then randomly **** on me haha
So I guess my next question is 2 fold... I'll try RICE again on the next release or the one after, maybe it'll work better, but I'll also need to figure out how to use it to theme my device like the 8T Cyberpunk edition.
For now, any idea how to make an OOS icon pack compatible with Nova launcher? Also, how do you install substratum? Everywhere I look I'm finding themes i like that are compatible (although not the Cyberpunk one I want, I can probably make it though), but everything said to install substratum but nothing says where to get it or how. I even searched the forums here. I think my search skills might be lacking, this should be easy...

Click thanks bud, and lol no worries man it's happened to me, did your normal theme remain intact??
I've avoided substratum and haven't used Nova in years, I paid for prime too.
Currently actually using the OnePlus launcher or lawnchair, both can have themed icons..
Doesn't the icon pack work in Nova?? That surprises me !
Not saying substratum won't work but be careful what you install as there is no recovery and safe mode probably won't cut it if you get a bootloop..lot of changes in the new versions of OOS.
What OS are you on? I flashed rice on 11.0.1.1 and it worked fine. I'd imagine 11.0.2.2 works too as there's no changes to the OS graphically.
If you're on OB then perhaps that's why unless you have a module installed it doesn't agree with, xXx you can install after rice, not before

It's In unified development mate.
Also another thread in q+a or guides.
Ok so i do finally have this working. The version in the thread here is an old version, dont use it:
[OxygenOS] RENOVATE ICE 5.0 | OP8Pro & OP8
Check the telegram group, I think it may already be working. But best to check there. People in there are helpful! That telegram group is totally a mess in the management of testing version and it would make you get into bootloop easily if you...
forum.xda-developers.com
Instead, join the Telegram group, they have links there for everything. I have the IN2025 and am on 11.0.1.1, so in that telegram group there's a link to RICE followed immediately with an audio link. This is on December 4th, with the filename for RICE called RenovateICE_Cyberpunk.zip, and it says that the audio is removed for now. The very next message has the OnePlus8Pro_Cyberpunk_Audio.zip, and it says below that "Module for Cyberpunk Audio". If you have the IN2025 OP8P like me and are on 11.0.1.1, then get those. Install RICE with Magisk, reboot, then go to your customization section in the settings and you'll see the Theme choice at the top, pick Cyberpunk and you should be good to go!
Yeh, Telegram is best path to follow for this....

applying wallpaper to the nexus lock screen
hey fantastic patch by the way! thanks so much for the hard work. i do prefer the nexus lock screen however is the transparency the only option? i tried to apply the wall via menu/wallpaper/lockscreen...says wallpaper applied etc but doesnt show when the device is locked. is this a limitation of the initial root? would it be advisable to go to v3 of the 2.1 root? again fantastic work much appreciated...
v0.3.0 is advisable, wont fix your problem. Will look into it after I have a break from the phone for a bit.
One other bug ive seen with the wallpaper is that it does not allow you to shut off or snooze your alarm so I had to restart or appkill to get it to shut off

By using that nandroid backup you made, right before trying it?
Didn't make one? Probably have to reflash.
Im good backup didnt work at first because Im guessing the phones power was low. Right after I posted had put my wifes phone on the pc to charge and the nandroid back up went through.
I'm probably in the minority that actually enjoys the lock screen more than live wallpapers, but this patch is great. Other than a few small visual issues, this is perfect. I hated the Sense lock screen. Great work jcase!
installed it and love it only issue i have with it would be the alarm wont snooze...will you be working on that or is this just something we would have to work around? other than that its a great extra
The issue is in the HTC Alarm, and Sense. Use another alarm clock.
Love it. Nice job.

Gentle Alarm works much better.
thanks for this!
was a great addition to my theme
I love the Nexus lock screen it keeps me from pocket dialing. I wish I could set a lock screen background though.
I really like this lockscreen and it works great except if i put my phone into airplane mode. When it comes out of airplane mode, the lockscreen continues to say 'No Sim Card', display the 'emergency call' and no longer show the battery charge. Rebooting the phone fixes it. Perhaps the CDMA Nexus One lock screen will fix this problem.
Ok peeps, here is another great rom for you to play with.
For those who dont know what the Android Open Kang Project is:
http://aokp.co/
This rom strives to utilize the best hacks and mods of all roms and put them into one great build.
It was built by me, but it is coded by a wonderful crew of smart people and it performs quite well.
It features many nice addons:
* customized lockscreen with color changing for the text and a nice weather widget plus more
* customize navigation bar, Navbar hiding for NBA JAm and other phone Ui games and apps
* color theming for the navbar, along with the ability to add navbar buttons which you can set to do what you want
Basically, tons of stuff. I recommend flashing and going to settings>Rom Control and just spending about thirty minutes seeing all the things you can do.
On my end, I have tried to remove what we dont need for some extra RAM. I changed up the teamdrh device overlays to suit this ROM. modified build.prop for gameloft compatibility, applied Nobe's fixes for hdmi audio and gaming audio. Various other things to get it working well.......
This is still a work in progress!!!!
Many thanks to teamdrh for the "OEM device support"
Many thanks to Fosser for his kernel
Many thanks to the AOKP crew for such a great ROM
****INSTALL INFO*******
1. Use teamdrh nvflash for Jellybean - the 350meg prep
2. Wipe data/ factory reset
3. connect to PC, copy rom, and Flash away
ENJOY!
Known Issues:
Stock launcher has shortcut issues, YOU WILL NEED A DIFFERENT ONE. I left it alone so you guys could just use what you want. I recommend Nova Launcher, this is the one AOKP uses on official builds, but again, I left it alone so you could decide, but you will not be disappointed with Nova.
AOKP has their own wallpapaers, the app would not retrieve them though, still looking into this
Internal Camera, of course, NOT YET!
Others? please....you tell me. I dont have a dock, and I dont do many of the things that others do, so there may be issues that I have not yet uncovered. I dont care about logcats or whatever, just post what dont work if you find something. THANKS!
YOU MUST GO THANK ANY MEMBER OF THE AOKP CREW, AS WELL AS TEAMDRH. THEY MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.

Swagpaper.apk doesn't work because there isn't any paper in it and also it might not match the SystemUI or Framework-res to open up. Going to pull some apktool skills on this and see what I can come up with.

Okay, I've found how to add more buttons, which does squeeze them together. However, I only want three buttons (back, home, recent apps) and squeezed together on the lower left. Is there a way to do that? If I make the other buttons empty, there are still icons showing that there are buttons there, just that pressing them won't do anything.
All settings for this are in settings>ROM control>navigation bar
At the bottom where it says "combined bar width port" or "land" you move slider left or right and the buttons will move, you most likely want 5 percent, do both but "land" is landscape. If you just want three buttons then just choose 3 under "Nav button quantity". And if you want more, up to 7 then in the settings just underneath the quantity you must choose what the buttons do for a short press and a long press if you want. You can change the icons too.
I'm actually liking this ROM the most so far out of the Jelly Bean ROMs. It's pretty lean. It performs well. There are a lot of options. And every app I've tried on it has worked.
Here is something weird. I flashed this ROM on my wife's tablet and everything works with it. So I decided to flash it on my tablet and some apps, like Dictionary.com, aren't compatible. Any ideas why this would be?
I can confirm version 79 of xposed for ARM sdk22 as working. You'll find the downloads at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Perform a nandroid backup before beginning.
Download the xposed installer apk , install it, boot into recovery and flash the xposed v79 arm sdk22 .zip, clear cache and dalvik, then reboot phone and you are good to go! I know a lot of us have been waiting for this news so I figured I'd share.. Keep in mind, after you install the .zip and reboot the phone is going to take about 10 minutes to boot up but eventually it will, immediately afterwards the apps will be "optimizing" for about 15 minutes as it rewrites ART to include xposed. Now I am off to go install some modules! Later guys hahaha
Here is an Xposed Mod that will change carrier text in notification header, lock screen, and dial pad to anything you like. I changed mine to T-Mobile since MetroPCS is pretty much using their network. Edit (SystemUI) for header notification carrier text and lockscreen carrier text. For dial pad carrier text while connected to a call edit (Dialer). You will have to put in original name which will be MetroPCS and for custom text, enter whatever you like.

Big Thanks to: @liubaoyua
Anyone that has any useful stable modules, make sure to list them. Time to MOD
Snapprefs for Snapchat works too, so you can add it to that list ^^
Btw how do you get that "illest" and the leaf in the status bar? it looks cool cx
In the screen shot is the options for data signal in the pro version of Flat Style Bar Indicators xposed mod... Also I have Battery Home Icon in the screenshot. It turns your home button into circular battery meter. (look at my home button). This mod allowed me to free up status bar space and replace battery meter with day of week in the FSBI module. I highly recommend FSBI pro version and also pro version of Flat Style Colored bars. (This one adds colors to your status bar and nav bar for a more immersive look) .. I actually paid for those two when I had my old phone. Instead of explaining everything I have up and running so far, I'll post a screen shot of my modules screen.. One module that isn't on the screen shot is advanced power menu (apm). For booting into recovery, soft reboot etc... All of the mods shown I got directly from the xposed repo. I have my display setting to show experimental and beta mods as well as stable ones. But I've no issue with the mods that I've activated.. Not only on this phone, but I've used all these mods for numerous months on my old phone as well

Tried it and xblast has no effect on this device. Pretty much doesn't work. And it only changes header and lockscreen I believe. I believe custom text mod changes in any apk in app text and goes deep into the xml file. You can probably even change the hangouts text in the hangouts app into something like "Hanging" I haven't tried. But I'm sure you can, incredible mod. There also isn't too many mods for sense lollipop ?

I wish I could help. Developing is way outside my realm of knowledge. Would a CM build be your best chance of getting it done? I know its a personal preference, but I've preferred slim base and AOSP base over CM base as far as lollipop goes. (Slim had RRO when I was using it) . but to see ANY base Marshmallow build on this mid range phone we own would be killer!

I think they're all aosp based. Slim and cm is aosp based. I think it all depends on what kinda feature they bring. RRO layers is easier to code than cm themes I believe. Nice I like LG..I have an LGV410, and it gets cm13. I actually wanna get an LG phone. I want an unlocked optimus pro the notification light is sick on that phone. I got this phone because I couldn't pass on a $40 offer. So I picked it up, this phone hasn't let me down. Now it's time to max out your g3 software.
Yeah I had a similar situation... Cheap price and couldn't pass up.. I love how loud this thing is...Here is what I got on it right now. As soon as my simple mobile sim arrives I'll be making it my DD. Total bummer that metro won't let me use it.. 60 dollar unlimited plan really is the best deal around..
I want to make sure I am doing this correctly because flashing this zip via twrp takes up half of my internal storage memory (System & Other is using 4.36gb) despite the zip being about 3mb and seems to continue "eating it" even while I'm not touching anything.
I'm on stock rom w/ root and no nandroid backups or anything in my internal storage.

Apparently you gotta use ADB to enable it. There's a recent article regarding it.

I cant upload photos , dont know why , it takes me to main xda page when i close the window , but in dev options ( in settings) the last section lets you choose font type (2 available ) , main colour of the ui and icon type( 4 available )
I cant tell if they were there before
Trying to upload the screenshot i took , i found that the app to choose files is renewed , for better

Yep. TJW had that one handled a couple of days after it was out. Doesn't look like the case this time however. Google apparently doesn't like us rooting evidently!
Anyone know if OnePlus gestures works okay on Q?

It's working for me, but it appears to need more forceful gestures than previously. But this might be because I fitted a new screen protector yesterday!
In reading the twitter feed by Magisk dev John Wu, it may come sooner than expected, his last couple of tweets made it seem like he had narrowed the problem down a bit. Also, another user hinted at a possibility of getting it working via an alternate method, but I haven't seen anything else.
But since this thread is about Q, let me say this:
1) I already had dark mode on in Pie.
2) I had root via Magisk, but completely uninstalled it (without locking the bootloader though), so no FDR needed.
3) First attempt at taking the OTA left me in a weird partial (stock) recovery where it said that the OTA could not be applied (I'm paraphrasing), and had the options to try again or FDR. I hit try again and it rebooted back to the same place - I hit try again a second time and et voila! it rebooted to Android and I have Q now on my Taimen. No idea why that happened, and I haven't performed any checks to see if it maybe flipped to the other slot or something (which I highly doubt, as it was extremely quick from when I pressed the try again to when it rebooted and started booting Android Q).
So, first thoughts:
The Google Feed now has a bit of translucency - pretty cool!
Settings is now dark mode
Notifications are also dark, double yay!
Night light is working better - the blue accents in settings, etc now also dull, the way they should.
Redesigned Files app - looks nice! Those items at the top are selectable, individually or in groups.
I've started an album at my GPHotos with screenshots I've taken thus far. See https://photos.app.goo.gl/pdbTnXZNYpQ3xBFS6
It's 1:30 AM now. I'm off to bed.
I feel the fingerprint sensor works very fast and very accurate. Can anyone please conform.

I can confirm this. I'm using Pixel 2 XL and Pixel XL and after update to Q beta I can feel fingerprint sensor works faster on both devices. even I can feel so much faster response on Pixel XL
Can anyone confirm that edit button on screenshot notification is broken for you too ?
Hi all! Does anybody know some tweak ui app to force full screen for all apps? Unable to use the whole screen is very annoying. I've turned off status bar due to screen burning after two months, but the upper line is always empty in portrait or landscape mode.
Thanks in advance!
And peace to all.

I am researching on this. On A10 you can use the magisk module "none display cutout". After install, in dev settings you have an option to completely ignore the holepunch area and swithching to fullscreen with gmd gestures lite will have truly fullscreen and no icons to burn in. Sadly this is not working on a11. Module will flash, holepunch will be ignored. But fullscreen mode will just turn off holepunch area
Thank you very much!
But I would prefer to not install twrp and not to flash magisk as well due to some reasons.
Just hope if exists some tweak app with adb granted permissions, like those for immerse mode.
Yes, thx,a solution would really be nice. I have been wondering about this.

Do not use the below
DO NOT SELECT DOUBLE CUT OUT
DO NOT USE ON BETA

I think you're going to struggle without root, you'd need to change some files in system, without root I don't think you can.
Have you checked on the display cut out in developer options?
Haven't used it but may offer every you want?
Check out the other OnePlus forums, they're longer established and may have mods which can be adjusted for this OS, or possibly it may even work as is..
Hope this helps.

Do not chose double cutout. Instant bootloop with no chance of recovery. Don't say i didn't warned you

Really? I didn't get any of that, tbh though I don't think I actually clicked that one.
Find it hard to believe that OnePlus would leave that in.
Would assume that safe mode would still work.
Are you on stable or beta?

Stable. Mine instantly died after selecting double lol. I was very pissed off but i had a quick backup so didn't took much time messing with it. Ob3 users reported to me in a testing group that innbeta this doesn't happen

Maybe it's an ob3 issue? Apologies mate, I had no idea.
Updated my original post to avoid it
You can use the adb command to remove magisk modules in case of bootloop caused by this, happened to me on my 8T. Still looking for a working notch killer for a11

could you post this exact command sir? this is one of the biggest things on paranoid about, they're not being a good version of TWRP for 11
There's definitely a lot of dead space up at top reserved for the humongous status bar icons, a good 0.5".
Should have made them smaller and further up the screen. Like others mentioned this task will be probably zero achievable without root etc.

adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules
You need to turn your device on after typing that in adb
