Coming from the Samsung s20 Ultra - OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Questions & Answers

I am currently using the Samsung s20 Ultra on ATT in the USA.
Does the McLaren 5g edition work on ATT with 5g support?
I am mainly interested in OP to root and as a stop gap until a notchless/holeless phone comes out in a year.
I am interested in any thoughts/opinions and if I should be dissuaded.
Thanks

zenfone 3 ultra coming to the US?

I would like to get the zenfone 3 ultra, but a couple notes I saw said it's not coming to the US. It's not listed on the US asus site, but I don't know if that's just a delay because it's not out yet, or if it's really not coming. I dropped my zenfone 2 and broke the screen, so I have to get a new phone, but not sure if the international version will work on AT&T.
Any tips appreciated.
At the launch event they said the ultra was coming to the us for $479. The ultra international version does not have us lte bands. Amazon has a few 5.7" deluxe in stock at $499. It has us lte bands. I am interested and waiting for the ultra it has usbc to displayport to attach to larger screen.

Unlocked S8 vs Sprint S8

Debating on a new phone. S8 is among one of my picks. I'm coming from a Moto X Pure unlocked device. I am most likely staying with sprint, and am currently off contract.
Is there any benefit of the unlocked phone vs Sprint's version for rooting/unlocking bootloader/development/etc?
I think the one thing I seen was the "Sprint Exclusive: HPUE - extends Sprint's 2.5 GHz coverage providing broader data coverage for faster data speeds in more places."?
I have a bit of Samsung experience with my wife's S5, and now S7 edge.
Unlocked versions haven't been getting updates on a timely basis. The S7's only got their 7.0 nougat a week or so back. If you plan on staying on Sprint, then just get a Sprint version. You can always debloat it with the disabler apps from the play store, they're only a few bucks at most. The SD variants may not get root for a while. Don't think the Exynos versions will work on Sprint.

the ROMs and development for the S10 plus and S10 5g models

I know this might be a little too early to ask. I also admit I am not up-to-date with all the news. But if there's anyone that can answer this, I would appreciate it.
Can anybody say if the ROM development for the normal S10 plus will also cover and work with the S10 5g model.
I'd like to get the 5g model. But if there's no development for it, it would be worthless.
That being said the question is valid if there would be a 5g model with Exynos chip.
But if the 5g model would also be available with Exynos chip and the ROMs for the S10 plus would work on it and thus the development for it would be the same, I would wait for the S10 plus 5g variant.
Could anybody share what're the news saying, please.
No one knows...

Hard to say at this point in time... I do hope they get some good development.
Does Europe have 5g? That would answer your question if they don't. If they don't it'll probably only be released in markets with 5G
Thank you very much

AT&T 5G on One Plus

I can not seem to find an answer anywhere. Do any of the 5G One Plus phones work on AT&T? I asked support on the oneplus website, but they kicked the ball to AT&T support, and AT&T support does not know either.
Anyone with real world experience?
Doesn't look like it for 5G at least in my search:

With all the buzz surrounding AT&T 5G, you might be considering upgrading to a new phone that can take advantage of the carrier’s next-gen network. Although most newer phones launching this year should be compatible with AT&T’s 5G network, there are a few things you’ll need to look for. In this...

So, back to Verizon then?
Will it work on AT&T's 4G LTE? I do not have true 5G anywhere I travel. It is all that 5GE.
I read that LTE 4G worked https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-8-pro-on-at-t.1235162/

I can switch to Verizon, just wanted to avoid that whole porting the number thing.
Actually, after searching, the OnePlus website shows they only support TMobile 5G. It shows AT&T and Verzion 5G not supported. Very confusing!
