So i tried several GSI of MIUI for my a20e, but none of them shows SIM Detection, i have European SIM if it matters,
but i think its an Kernel Issue, cuz i had the an similiar issue a custom rom many years ago on another Samsung Device
where a kernel fixed my not detecting sim.
Would be happy if someone knows an solution for that

GSIs always have issues.
I have made a
oneUI kernel for the a202f but I have not made a gsi kernel yet.

Sorry if this is wrongly posted.
I'm New to building a rom and i've read up on multiple threads on how to port/build etc,
but i'm confused with one thing, its said that the base rom should be the one that is able to run on the specific device.
I'm using the Pantech Vega Iron 2 IM-A910K , there are only 1 vietnamese rom , a Chinese rom which are both translated versions of the original korean rom with basic editing of the SMS limit and such, I was using The PAC man rom on both Sony Xperia Z1 and Z ultra before and i loved the functions it has, i wish to port this over to this device too but seems unsuccessful.
Is anyone able to tell me if i am able to build a rom for this device with the above mentioned avail stock modified roms as base or i have to fully complile a new one?
This Phone has great specs but Its just strange that few devs work in it, even the old Vega Iron A870 only had a multitude of roms including CM after about half a year later or so, as i just got this phone i dun really wanna leave it there unused till then hence i wanna attempt to build the rom myself.
any response is greatly appreciated.

okay so many of you have faced this issue where the software says no sims inserted despite having both the sims inserted . i have done all the things all the P and C of rom.zip and radio.zip .. tried it many times yet i did not get nertworks on any of these two roms
i keep getting android.phone has stoppped working error
please suggest the working method
PS- i am on 8.0.6.0 stable miui

Yes this problem stops me and many others from using custom ROMs. So if there's any solution or if someone could develop a solution will be very helpful to lot of people.

I think there is no solution but to replace your SIM card with 128K SIM or with memory more than that to get qualcomm AOSP ROM to work. I have seen the thread owner replying the same on many such queries in "qualcomm AOSP" thread. I had also got the same error and for me this was causing when I inserted my 6yr old SIM and not when i inserted JIO sim.

Wrong SECTION. You should have posted this in Questions & Answers
It is probably almost impossible:
1 ) We need clear AOSP as a base because if not there will be so freaking much bugs to resolve that it is not worth it
2 ) MIUI require special porting way for diferent socs there are diferent sources for snapdragon, diferent for mediatek but did not see any for our kirin
3 ) It need a lot of testing reainstalling so there need to be someone who can live without his p9 Lite
4 ) There is needed someone who knows how linux works and someone who know good miui rom
5 ) Maybe it would be possible with AOSP as a base but we dont have it and it is hard to port clear aosp so will not even sit with this
6 ) You have stock EMUI which is similar you dont need MIUI
7 ) I dont have actually time to even put linux in virtual machine so wont do this
8 ) This thread is in wrong section so need to be moved to q&a but I think I answered you question
9 ) Even if it is possible you will not even try this because you have locked bootloader. So if you will unlock it to install rom so why not to unlock it now and build it on your own? Just learn how to do this. For me on my old phone it did get a week to have a booting rom. But there was clear AOSP. Here I dont know will be longer so go ahead and good luck
OK changed my mind. Will try to build based on cm13 but nothing to promise and dont know when will find some time so dont expect anything

Hi, I started to port MIUI 8 based on JDCTeam Optimized CM13.
So I ported rom and here starts the problem.
What the problem is? Bootloop.
And I thought: 'Hey, let's make a logcat'
But then I realized that I don't know how to solve my problems with logcat.
So I came to you, because I think there will be one or more helpful people!
Also, when I will finish rom, then I will ask Base and Port rom makers to allow me publish rom, and I will add them and person that will help me solve my problem to credits
Base rom is JDCTeam Optimized CM13
Port rom is HTC One M7 MIUI8

Or as a thread in development for individual kernels.

Hmm...I have a distinct feeling that this post is relating to the fact that the OP's phone is unable to boot the later Resurrection Remix OS's, due to the fact that they are one of the 'unlucky ones' with kernel issues on their Note 3, like myself. @JJEgan knows what I am talking about. I may be wrong, and you might not have this problem with your phone. It's just a hunch. If I am right though, I will say to you that at this moment in time, the case remains UNSOLVED, as nobody currently seems to know what the issue is.
