Care to elaborate? I don't think people really understand what you mean. So you want to "OEM unlock" a Verizon Pixel 2XL. How are you going to do that? I have personally tried the "uninstall phone app" method and was able to toggle the "OEM Unlock" but it's does nothing and reverted to 'disabled' when you enter the bootloader. There is only two ways to do this; Verizon themselves unlock the phone (which they said they wouldn't), or hacking into the device (which for some phone require hardware hack to work). Now you're saying you find another way? What have you discovered? What help do you need exactly?
@lishenghui trying to understand it, googled some words from your post, still didn't get it actually. Are you requesting some files from already rooted Pixel 2 XL users to unlock Pixel 2 XL Verizon?

*UPDATE* Removed file for now. This appears to be a two part vulnerability. First part being a permissions issue on some custom roms. Second is total lack of securing credentials on Tapatalk's part.
i can confirm this!!!
Yeah ...this works
yea it works. shows all my log info.
Yeah... shows everything....

This thread is nearly 2 years old, so I doubt you'll get a response. Also, since xda has a working friendship with the TapaTalk team I don't think discussion of hacking their software is appropriate. With that in mind I'll close this thread so it stops now.

OK, I'm trying to unlock a Vibrant for someone else. I have read and tried several methods with no success yet.
I had Axura 2.2 and tired the SGSUnlock with no luck
I ODIN'd back to stock20100512.pit / t959UVJFD.tar and SGSUnlock still doesn't work. Ive tried two variants of it, nothing.
I have limited experience with ADB (driver issues between multiple devices so I use ADBWireless) and was able to get an nv_data.bak and used a hex gen to get this (screenshot).

According to notes, I'm to find the code separated by periods, but I have no periods. Anyone have an idea or can lead me to a quick fix?
Remaining questions, once I generate a code, will the code I use at stock 2.1 work once I flash 2.2 back on?
Thanks for any help or guidance, much appreciated!
anyone? Bump?
You're out of luck as far as SGS Unlock goes. Any ROM update JI6 or later corrupts the code in the nv_data.bin file. There is this method thanks to helroz that has worked though.

thanks for that... Seems like work Will an unlock code from TMO still work outright?

If you use this method I don't think so since it changes the actual code. You could always call TMO and get the code instead of doing it this way as well. Think it usually takes a few days.
If you need a unlock. Hit me up. No matter the rom. no matter the lock.
Same here. I need to unlock a vibrant I just got.

If you just got it then you are still on 2.1? Just search the market for "SGS Unlock", that'll do it.

Claire: I will be more than happy to assist you on this.
Claire: You can only the bootloader for Developer edition phones.
Claire: However, modifying the software will void the warranty of the ohone.

I wouldn't worry too much. Several of us has issues unlocking bootloader a few weeks ago, and the issue cleared itself up after a few days. Seems it takes some time for the serial numbers to get into the unlock system.
I would recommend that you go post on Motorola forums and let them know, though.

Heh... I hope so. Motorola support forums that I get to from Moto X page?
Try it again tomorrow. There's a delay for the unlock code to be populated to the database.
Just put in fastboot mode , do a fastboot getvar all and check that the cid returned is 9 .?

I'm unlocked and don't get that message past the initial unlock. My gut says you didn't enable the "Settings-Developers Options->OEM Unlock" toggle before unlocking. I followed the instructions in the "OnePlus 5: Unlock Bootloader | Flash TWRP | Root | Nandroid & EFS Backup & More !!" and it worked without the issue your mentioning.
I get the same message on my OP5 I could have sworn I turned on OEM unlock when I unlocked the bootloader. Hmm I am curious how I can get rid of the message at startup without bricking my phone lol will wait a bit until a tutorial posts up

I was dead wrong as I get that screen also. It seems that everyone that unlocked the bootloader gets such a screen at boot time. I read a post that said it was forced by Google on Nougat so that an altered (unlocked bootloader) phone was seen by the phone's user. I also read that it also happened on the OP 3T but they eventually found a way around it.
Sorry for my misleading post but when I rebooted before I must have been looking away so had not seen it.
I am somewhat new to this but I can't find any solution to this problem from all the guides out there. I've had my s10+ snapdragon since may 2019, and only recently decided that I wanted to root my phone. The guides for rooting all have a instructions to enable usb debugging (done) and OEM unlocking. However there is no option in the developer settings to toggle OEM unlocking. Other guides say to turn back the system clock to june 2019 to have the OEM unlock option to reappear but when I restart, the date is turned bacl to the last update that I installed (august 2020) and no OEM unlocking toggle.
So it looks like they patched out the OEM unlocking by making it impossible to set the time before that security patch.
Is there another way to root? Or a way to bypass the need for this option? (Maybe im just not understanding how it works enough to proceed without OEM unlocking)

I am not sure. There used to be info on it here on XDA, but it has since been deleted. There was app too you could use to buy the service, but it's gone as well.
