Does anyone else have this problem while in call, the volume is low but when you adjust it and lower the volume then raise it back up, it's louder than it was when you first had it at full volume?
I am having trouble trying to get an answer to this question.
I have the exact same issue as described. After having 12 Nexus 4s I can tell you that some have this issue, some stay at the loud volume you see after adjustment, and some stay at the quiet volume before adjustment (absolute worst). Be lucky that you can reach the loud volume and pray that the fix will be in the next update.

I have a similar issue with mine.
When I receive calls, the top speaker is very quiet (even if I press the volume button to maximum), but when I move my face away from the phone then back to it (activating the proximity sensor) the volume goes up to what it should it.
Could this e a software bug or warrant an RMA?

For some time the system sounds are very low even am adjusting it to the max level. It's extremely annoying, especially when using GPS.
I've installed Ultimate Volume Booster without success
Is there any how to increase the sound level?
I'll appreciate any help

Try a factory reset .
If that does not work there must be something wrong with your speaker .
Note 4 has the loudest mono speaker I've ever heard on a smartphone .
I'm on aex-o by voiwod....Incall volume through earphone and earpiece is too high on all latest oreo rom..on lowering the volume to minimum doesn't solve this issue much.. so help

I clean flashed Evolution X 4.7 on my Mi 9T Global 3 days ago. It's working great so far and I love it!
The only thing which is a deal breaker is really low speaker volume. I'm getting probably half the volume that I used to get on MIUI. The volume slider half way down completely mutes the audio and volume is not loud even with slider all the way up.
I've searched for fixes but couldn't find anything helpful.
Please help.
