First reset phone(or flash firmware)
Then flash custom recovery (If you flash firmware)
Flash supersu zip
Flash xposed
Install wanam xposed for lollipop(it also supports marshmallow)
Then active module
Go to wanam xposed - > security hacks and check disable secure storage is selected.
Restart and setup private mode.
If you setup private mode before install xposed you need to fresh install firmware or reset phone.
Because wanam module doesn't work after setup private mode.
Hi, So i just rooted my phone and installed a debloated stock Rom. I have SuperSU, I do not have Magisk.
Can anyone point me to the steps necessary to pass SafetyNet? I can not install Netflix or Super Mario Run.

flash magisk > install magisk manager > enable magisk hide and core only mode > reboot
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Or you could flash superstock rom and debloat it to your liking with its built in Aroma installer.. Also magisk will be an option in there too to be pre-installed.
all you have to do is enable magisk hide or if you have trouble enable magisk core only mode
safteynet related apps are automatically handled by magisk and are not needed to be selected in magisk hide
I have superstock installed but I did not install Magisk. Can I do this now without wiping / Re flashing? Just by installing Magisk and doing what you state?
I have installed Magisk but cannot find how to root with magisksu. If I deactivate supersu I can not do anything with Magisk. If I activate supersu I cannot find magisksu or the hide functions.
I believe the problem is I prerooted with supersu. I think this has to be fixed by unsu.zip, removing Magisk again, flashing the boot img from my Rom without root, then flashing Magisk again. Could that lead to magisksu?

It worked. I have magisksu now and pass safetynet. But exactly after getting magisksu I have weird display glitches now. Purple hazes going through the picture when scrolling in some apps like chrome. I can not Screenshot it. I have no idea what could probably cause this
EDIT this is not Magisk related, it's an overheating screen apparently - I changed display mode and errors are gone.
So thanks, have magisksu now and pass safetynet.

I've tried with both Xposed versions (system and systemless) without success. After flashing Magisk, the system starts normally so I think that the point is Xposed... Maybe it's not compatible with 7.1.2 version?

I've tried with this files: 26-07-17-xposed-systemless-v87-sdk25-by-PurifyOS and 26-07-17-xposed-v87-sdk25-Xposed-by-PurifyOS.
Finally I've decided to pass over AOSP Ext. outdated ROM and I'm testing with Validus one. Now, Magisk and Xposed works perfectly.

Resurrection remix 5.8.4
yourtube + works for me
I screwed up and left the bootloader unlocked when I flashed the 7.0 OTA. So, SafetyNet test fails and Android Pay refuses to work. Based on what I have found and read, I believe it is impossible (currently) to simply relock the bootloader. I think I need to root with Magisk and then use the appropriate module to hide root and unlocked status from Android Pay. Is that the possible? Is that the correct approach? I have been searching and reading but my mind is swimming now. Must be getting too old for this stuff.
Thanks in advance.
Root with magisk - hide is inbuilt - don't need add. module.
How to:
Boot twrp - fastboot boot NameTwrp3xx.img
Backup all with twrp
Restore boot with twrp
Install Magisk14+.zip
Reboot.
If you need - you can flash twrp.

So I did this, and Magisk is installed, set to hide for Android Pay, and it's still not working. It still recognizes the unlocked bootloader. Is there anything else I can do?
What is in magisk manager - safety net status?
Magisk 14? Stock Nougat? @yaoverstand

Sorry, I don't know why.

Go into Settings in the Magisk app, scroll down about halfway, and make sure the Magisk hide slider is on.
If it shows on toggle it off then back on and again then reboot and try the safety net check again. I've had to do this once or twice right after flashing Magisk.
@jason2678
Tried this just now, and I'm still failing the safety net check in the same manner.
Could it have to do with the fact that I flashed a stock nougat image instead of taking the ota?
What did you flashed?

Just an update. I flashed the official image from the when the OTA came out.
I restarted Magisk with hide slider off, and then turned it on when the phone came back on. Then I restarted again, and all is well. Passed safetynet and everything. Thanks guys!

I think so too, but I've had it happen a few times where hide wasn't really on until I turned it off, then back on again. That might have been pre 14 versions. I don't flash my phone too often.
Basically my daughters phone had no space. So I rooted it, installed app2sd, and it appeared to be ok for the last week.
Now it signed her out of some apps, and she cant log into snapchat. Also netflix isnt showing up anymore.
I opened SuperSU and disabled root, snapchat still doesnt work. I uninstalled supersu and app2sd, everything besides twrp recovery, and still not working.
What options do I have? Do i need to remove twrp and go full stock again?
You don't need to unroot or re-install stock firmware. Just install "Root Switch" allow it root access and switch off root previliges. Now Run Snapchat it will run like a Boss.
