Without a case, it's tedious to hold vertically. Maybe it's my somewhat dry, carpenters hands, but it seems quite slick.

You're right about the slickness. I'm using the OnePlus case and it makes it better to hold.

Same here. Much to slippery. Case on order.
Yes this phone is slippery. It's fallen out of my shorts pocket and I didn't even know it. I've never had a phone do that before. Definitely need a case.

just got my razer. Dont have a case yet planning to get the silicon one because without the case the aluminum casing feels cold, edges are fine, the power button is excellent, i just dont like the volume buttons. I feel with a good case it would be real handy and ergonomic
The case gets really cold in AC and it's kinda uncomfortable
It's a little big for my hands and a little slippery (that's what she said).
But with an Orzly case it's not slippery and holding it has a nice weight to it.
Two handed use phone mainly.
Too bad landscape is only useful in one position ('cause of the left and right speakers that do not switch).
I personally like phones that are more angular and designs like Xperia phones. I like the weight of the phone and think the heft to the phone gives it a good character.
Certainly not ergonomic for my small hands, but that's ok. This phone isn't meant for sleek and ergonomic looks. It's a powerhouse device meant to take your gaming to the next level.

I must say this phone is built like a tank. feels sturdy although two days ago it fell from chair height screen side down and has a crack across the screen. for sure i thought the screen was shattered to pieces considering the impact of the drop. Although its so sad i cant get replacement parts even from Nokia Suppliers

Edges are kinda sharp; combined with teh quite heavy weight of the phone, I experienced inconfort after 30+ minutes of video watching holding the phone.
It is a satisfyingly weighty thing and quite wide, the edges are sharpish and the back quite slippy. I got a clear silicone case off Amazon that deals with the slippy issue and rounds off the corners. Feels ok in my hands but I don't use it for gaming or watching movies so not in the hand for that long. Might be stretch for those with smaller hands.
I got quite used to the size and weight coming from a Nexus5 quickly. Also have to add I do not hold it for long periods on avarage.
Tried a hard case from amazon but that added to the dimension of the phone got too big for my hands, and made it more slippery.
The only con is the edge at the bottom where I ususally put my left little finger to prevent the phone falling out of my hands. The edge and the skinniness of my finger is not a good match.
I agree with you guys. Although doesn't feel slippery to me. Waiting for a case to get delivered.

Great for me. I was a big fan of the classic Sony Compacts, and hate the big chunky phones that make up 95% of the market these days.
This is a nice mid way solution, and I find I can fit it in my shirt pocket and use one handed, just.
So for max screen size and still being just about able to use one handed this is the sweet spot for me.
The device is a little bit too heavy for me.
One handed use is fine but once you have to do proper work, the device is too big and you will have to use it one handed.
Device is a bit on the heavier and larger side for me. The metal back is slippery so slap a case on it. But weight distribution of the internals is amazing.

Feels much more comfortable to hold than the p20 pro ( my previous device) due to the rounded sides. The buttons are easy to reach as well. The only issue is the camera module that sticks out if you try to place the device flat on a surface, but that is no longer an issue if you place it in a case. The top of the device might be difficult to reach by those with smaller hands as well.
really big, and its only an issue if you use gestures as theres no shortcut to pull down the notification panel.
But thats solved with Nova, which works perfectly btw.
Unfortunately while the glass feels lovely, it is a very slippery device to hold. had to get a case to get some grip.
And also to stop me going crazy wiping off all the fingerprints!
Quality device, but that quality does have its downside in that its so slippery
