Good day, i recently rooted and installed TWRP on my Galaxy A8 2016.
... But i don't see any custom roms made for it.
Was this device abandoned? It's pretty sad it doesn't have any custom roms
Does anyone have an idea if this phone has custom roms?

Hi guys! I'm searching android 6.1 ROM for my Galaxy Core Prime [SM-G361F]. You know where I can find it?
Thanks.
Nope. At the moment, there's no Marshmallow ROM (custom or official) for G361F.
Yeah we have to wait.
Did someone start to make them already?
This would be great, Marshmallow looks better than the cancerous (my opinion) Lollipop firmware, but I think that actually no developer want to really work on this model. Bringing root and a recovery was the minimum, then to go further you can install XPosed for custom builds but creating custom or adapting stock ROMs? Nah.
Like in topic. I'm really looking for custom ROM for this model as SM-T285 already got everything
The problem with the SM-T280 is that we don't yet have a working selinux permissive kernel. I imagine once that happens (if ever), we'll see other ROMs. For now, I'm more than happy to run jedld's custom Tinker Edition on my SM-T280.

So at this point i am running tinker edition with with twrp on my sm-t280. Does this not mean we have unlocked bootloader? Can we begin to port something like cm or even lineage at this point? I would love to move to a more aosp like rom
Is there any update, or someone working on a custom Rom for sm t280? I appreciate any help on it.
+1 to check for update.
Just got this tablet to replace my broken Nexus 7 2012 which had nougat running on it. Very surprised this cant be updated with a custom rom especially seeing Tab A 10s getting nougat. There must be some hope? Samsung.... Tab A 2016 edition with 5.1.1? Come on really?? At the very least Marshmellow on it.
If you check @_mone thread for twrp and this device a little digging would show you a working SPA (permissive available) kernel, a custom kernel should only be so far away hopefully.
I'm not new at the custom rom scene, although I haven't been on it for about 2 - 3 years. A year ago, I bought a new mid range phone (Galaxy A5 2016). I was thinking for a while to root it or install to it custom roms but I don't know if it's still worth it. I don't really care about the waranty.... well not that much. Are custom roms still worth it? Should I wait for my waranty to run out just to be sure or do it anyway?
its totaly ok to do that,in my opinion a android phone must have an custom os,but its only my opinion, just do it and see by urself, have fun.Greeetz!!!
Hi
I have no rights to create that topic in the Custom Roms area. So I put this in here.
There are a lot of Custom Roms for the Samsung Galaxy j5 2016 (J510fn). There are so many that I have no time to look at all of them. What do you think is the best Rom? I do not want ROMs that have been developed for gaming.

ViperOS 8.1, its very smooth and you have 1.1 up to 1.3 gigs of ram free, its super smooth, I recommend Francisco Funes versions.
I have installed a lot of custom ROMs on various devices but never seen a device like Baffinlite. It doesn't have any stable custom ROM.
I have this device rooted and twrp installed but couldn't find a proper custom ROM to install.
I wonder if any of the ROMs made for Grand Neo Plus works for Grand Neo too.
Of course, if you have a ROM to suggest for this device, I will be glad to hear.
No unfortunately, but the roms for the standard grand neo I9060 should work.
