what to buy after leeco le pro3 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi, what is now similar to this model but with nfc and custom roms available?

Dealing now with the exact same question. I am looking at battery replacement and new devices also. I think realme x50 or oneplus 8 pro will be the winner - I want top optics after LeEco Pro 3.

Is the Redmi Pro the best Xiaomi device atm?

Hi,
I am pretty new to the Xiaomi- and especially to the Mediathek-world. This is why I have this noob question :silly:
Is the Redmi Pro currently the top smartphone by Xiaomi, at least hardware-wise?
Of course, besides Mi5/S, which run the SD 820/821...
Or is e.g. the Note 4 the stronger device, or any other? As far as I know, the Redmi-line is more a budget-thing, right?
Thx for any info on this! :highfive:
Best

Redmi Pro is known as the Xiaomi Redmi's flagship and that means It is the strongest of the Redmi's even that it is Mediatek powered . mediatek disadvantage is that they does not release sources (which is needed for compiling custom roms and kernels) and the Snapdragon release its sources thats because snapdragon devices are the most wanted and that means bigger price but weaker phone. redmi pro's helio x20 or x25 is compared to snapdragon 810 and and its very close to sd 820. Redmi note 4 has the same chip (x20) but isnt better than redmi pro.Redmi note 4 PRO has a sd652 and that means it has more development for that device.
If you want a phone with a lot development buy redmi note 4 PRO --- if you want a stronger phone buy REDMI PRO.
PS: the best xiaomi for now is MI MIX (the bezelles device
Thank you very much! My times of ROM-hopping are over...my current S7 is not even rooted...so I guess the Redmi Pro will be my first try on the chinese devices (Huawei P9 would be interesting, too, but I am searching for a bigger phone)
I have checked the Mix, it looks gorgeous and I would love to get my hands on this, but the price is far from what I invest in smartphones normally...
So, next step is checking the int. Xiaomi-ROM for the Pro, how to install and what to expect...
The best xiaomi device now is mi5, mi mix, mi note 2.
S7 has much better camera. Redmi Pro is not considered as flagman.
Xiaomi has better models like Mi5.
Even so I would prefare Redmi Pro because of OLED display.
But now Im having trouble with flashing ROM as it doesn't has official global vertion. So you need to apply for unlock bootloader and wait. Some people wait more than 10 days.
It's a good phone but with some really annoying hang ups. ( performance in general is good to very good with occasional lag due to bad core switching, screen is nice although a tad dim for outdoor use, build quality is great)
First of all the camera is a complete waste of time and this appears to be a software issue as the sensor it's self is capable of taking decent photographs. But it's honestly one of the worst smart phone cameras I've used and I've used a lot.
If you've ever used a blackberry in 2010-2011 that's the sort of quality so expect only at higher resolutions.
Second of all Xiaomi appears to have abandoned further development for the device ( no news on 7.0)
Also its missing wireless n support which is just weird, doesn't bother me oh so much as I rarely transfer files over WiFi but still an odd omission.

He said the flagship for the xiaomi redmi series not xiaomi mi series

redmi note 6 pro

Is the note a upgrade or downgrade from the le pro 3?
Personally I consider it a downgrade. Perhaps camera is better (although GCam in Le Pro 3 rocks) and lower and newer processor means better battery life, but in general terms it can't beat Le Pro 3.
A sidegrade at best. Better cam, better battery life, slower cpu, much worse GPU, worse build quality, worse connectivity (micro usb in 2018?!)

I've got a Mi 6x so basically the same phone. Again it's a sidegrade from the Le Pro3. It's not really that much different from the Redmi Note 6 really, it just has a slightly more powerful CPU and a smaller battery and USB-C.

I really like the a2 but the 3000mah is a deal breaker plus i really love miui
Some youtube reviewer put the Le Pro 3 (with custom rom) up against the Redmi Note 5 Pro:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0Jj0mPyZTc
Surprisingly the S820 with UFS 2.0 storage couldn't beat the newer S636 with just slower EMMC, despite using a custom rom on the Leeco vs MIUI on the Redmi.
On top of that, the Redmi Notes have a microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and a significantly better battery life. I've also not been able to get rid of the fluctuating cell signal strength and noticably high input lag on my Le Pro 3 (x722/Elite).
So unless you're into gaming, the Redmi is a better choice. The build quality is likely better on the Le Pro 3. But I'd go with the Pocophone or Mi 8 Lite atm, they're more expensive than the Redmi Note 5/6 but better value imho.

I wonder what a custom it is. This movie without selecting a good custom on le pro 3 is unreliable.

I agree.
The Rom was Pixel Experience June 2018 around the time that Gabronog was doing blind updates due to his phone being bricked or damaged. I was using that Rom around that time and although that Rom was great overall.
That time period wasn't the best of what the PIXEL rom could be. If I remember correctly in June 2018, AICP and Lineage were the best performers and Miui 9 had the best battery life.
I can say this with some confidence since I have kept a record of stats for all the Roms that I have used since early June 2018.

Zenfone max pro m1 or Redmi 6 pro?

Hello...I'm looking for cheap phone with 3 GB ram. Currently confused between which of these two should I buy? Looking for best phone for media consumption, WhatsApp and calls. Nothing heavy like gaming etc.
I see that battery on m1 is pretty solid and os is close to stock Android but don't know much about service after warranty expires, in case if something goes wrong. This phone doesn't show adds like redmi right? Definitely don't need that.
Plus how long m1 custom ROM support will be available from devs. Thanks in advance.
The 3GB variant has terrible cameras. If you are not those who never shoot a photo, you should choose between 6GB Pro M1, 3GB Pro M2, or Redmi 6 Pro.
If u want better cameras then go for note 6 pro, if u don't use camera much then go for zenfone max pro m1 it's terribly priced now, value for money

which should i buy zenfone max pro m1 or redmi note 5 pro.

as both (6gb) were listed at 7000 at refurbished i need to know which one to buy for flashing custom roms and playing games while a one day battery backup with gcam as my main photography app.
if you know which one to buy please suggest since both are around same price
Just my opinion
--> Photography - Redmi note 5 pro is using Sony sensor while M1 pro is using
Omnivision sensor
-> Battery - M1 pro is using a beefy 5000mAh running on stock android Pie while Redmi note 5 pro has only 4000 mAh running on MIUI
-> Both has the same metal body
-> Both is running Snapdragon 636
-> Both has 5.9 IPS display (18:9)
-> Both has active devs for custom rom and kernel developments
Reason to buy Asus Zenfone M1 Pro - Stock Android, impressive 5000 mAh battery
Reason to buy Redmi Note 5 Pro - Sony sensor for better Photograph results, MIUI
In the end It's your call sir which phone will make you happy :good::good:
bought max pro m1 for the battery thanks

My plan as a OPPO Product Ambassador

I am honored to be selected as an OPPO Product Ambassador!
Now OPPO Find X5 Pro is coming to my home, and I'll review hardware, software, game performance, and camera performance.
I also purchased a 50W AirVOOC charger and cooling case at my own expense, and I would like to introduce the usability of those accessories.
Feel free to let me know if there is anything you would like me to try.
