Axon 7 on Android 7.1.1 with MiFavor and Hiya. Unanswered call badge (red square top right of phone icon) won't go away; won't go below 1. Turned MiFavor and Hiya off and on, and turned off notifications from each; separately and together, every combination, and restarted numerous times. Still can't make that badge go away. Can anyone help? Thanks.

After I have upgraded my XDA2 to the lastest Asia ROM, I got this issue. Whenever I sent out an SMS, the notification icon would appear on top telling me "Message Sent".
Normally, the icon would just go off. But now sometimes the icon would stay there until I do a soft reset. This never happen before the upgrade.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance.
I had this problem and eventually, it seemed to go away of it's own accord. Bloody annoying I know.

Hi there,
Many of you know that nexus 4 is experiencing random "black screen of death". What happens is that the phone freezes while in sleep (stand-by) for long time, for example over night. It is not a complete freeze, as the notification light keep blinking (if there are notifications); when you call the phone the caller hears a proper "ringing" tone (so the phone is not off), but the nexus 4 itself doesn't make any sounds. Alarms also don't sound, which makes Nexus 4 a horribly unreliable alarm clock.
The only way out of the freeze is holding the on/off button for 10 sec, which turns off the phone, and then holding it again for usual 1-2 sec to turn the phone back on.
What I discovered is that these freezes happen 1-3 times a week, but only if I have pattern password on lock screen. When I turn password off (so I have the "slide to unlock"), freezes are gone. Maybe this information will help others, or provide some insight to a complete solution to the problem? Does anybody have other experiences with black screen of death on their nexus 4?
Just a note, I have stock but rooted nexus 4. Internet reports that these problems happen on stock unrooted, stock rooted, custom roms, even on phones freshly out of factory reset with no apps installed.
Here are some threads talking about the problem:
Google Product forum
AndroidCentral Forums
I've always been on SlideToUnlock and mine has been doing that for some time since I started playing with custom roms (w/root)
What fixed it for me was to disable the PlayStore "Auto Update Apps".
Suddenly the green icon (call in progress) doesn't go away after I end a call. The notification is also present and I can't get rid of it. Yes I went into settings/applications and cleared it that way. But it happens every time I end a call. This doesn't happen on any of the custom roms, only when on stock.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Hi everyone,
before I take this into my list of OOS 2.1.2 bugs, I'd first like to evaluate whether I'm alone with this issue or not.
THE ISSUE: Approximately half the time, when a notification comes in on my phone - no matter from which app - the phone doesn't vibrate or play the corresponding notification sound.
WHAT SETTINGS I AM USING: I have been using "VibrateMode" for a while and have set the notifications slider to All/Vibrate/None, and this usually happens when vibration is on. So my first thought was, this might have something to do with VibrateMode overriding the original "priority notifications only" setting to "vibrate on notification".
WHAT HAPPENS: However, today this also happened when I had set my phone to "all notifications" and had the volume pulled up all the way. When I first received an email, the phone vibrated and played the notification sound. A little later another email came in, plus an update notification from Play Store and a news update from Google News & Weather. This time, however, there was no sound and no vibration, only the LED was blinking. This also happens frequently when receiving messages on FB Messenger. Half of the time, the phone doesn't vibrate when a new message comes in, but only the LED starts blinking (and the screen turns on thanks to Glimpse Notifications - otherwise I'd probably miss half of my incoming messages.)
So, is anybody else experiencing this bug?
UPDATE:
Can't say with 100% certainty yet, but it appears that activating "Ultimate Notification Control" in GravityBox helped with this issue. Will confirm after/if a couple more notifications come through correctly.
Still curious as to whether I'm the only one experiencing this bug.

No, but I'm considering updating to OOS 2.2.0 in the coming days, so I'll see whether the bug is still present then.
I'm on badboyz 7.1.1 with magisk root and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to disable screen wake every time I get a notification.
I'm also having this issue... 2017U B19 w/ Magisk
Anytime I get a text, the phone wakes up and turns on the display (and I just want it to hear the notification). I've tried several messaging apps, including stock, and they all seem to function this way. Textra has an option to "disable screen wake", but that had no effect.

This behaviour also annoys me. Sometimes the screen even turns on when the phone is in my pocket and because it is unlocked by my smartwatch it then sometimes also unlock itself and begins to send text messages, saves screenshots etc.
I think the idea behind this is that there would be no visual indication that a notification is shown because this phone has no led for notifications. But I can see every important notification on my smartwatch, so I don't need this.
Does anybody know how to disable this behaviour? Maybe using an Xposed module?

I actually just updated my A2017U from B19 to B25 a couple days ago...and the screen no longer turns on when I get a notification.
You can follow the instructions from here...

The only thing I did different was at step 7, I flashed Magisk v13.6 beta instead of SuperSU

Thanks for the hint, but I will wait with the update until the Xposed framework runs under Android Nougat.
