Hi
I ask this question here, as I’m knew in the forum I can’t write it directly in the ROM post where would be more appropriate.
I have installed the in the phone the CM13.0 ROM built by mparus, I have used the cm-13.0-20161118-UNOFFICIAL-mparus-without_root-g760.zip build, the last one in this moment. The phone works correctly, I only had a pair of minor issues:
-phone app was not working, caused a reboot when trying to use it: it’s a vanilla cyanogenmod problem, it’s solved choosing the phone app as default for making calls
-camera app doesn’t detect the camera device: I have read that is a bug of the official camera app, can be solved installing another app as open camera
I have a serious problem for which I have not found information about. It’s with the notification lights, they are not working except for indicating the charging status of the device, not for mails, missed calls, etc. I tried all the possible combinations for this without luck. I have also tried third party app’s like light manager and they don’t work also, perhaps something is broken in the build but I’m not sure.
Any of you has experienced this problem with the mparus mod in the ascend g7? Can you give me any advice? I’m a bit frustrated about this
Thank you
Do a clean re-install of the ROM I'd say..
Hey there!
When I bought my OnePlus 5, it came with a mic hardware defect: one worked and the other didn't. Since I live in Pakistan, I couldn't claim warranty and get it fixed. It wasn't a major issue though because the broken mic was only used for the voice recording app and shazam (a third party app that recognizes music around you).
Recently I switched to a different ROM: LiquidRemix and LineageOS. Using both the ROMs, I found that the phone app used the broken mic for calls. This is a major problem now because calling is a pretty important feature of the phone. This forced me to go back to OxygenOS.
I bought this phone because of the amazing developer support on it. Once OnePlus stops supporting the OnePlus 5, I would want to use a custom ROM as a daily driver, and that would not be possible if the mic for calls doesn't work.
So are there any apps or work around that I can use to prevent the ROMs from using the broken mic for calls?
Please help me guys, would flashing stock kernel on the custom ROM work? I have no experience with flashing kernels so I need your help to figure this out. Thanks
Hi all.
Being lurking here for a while and I've generally being able to find a solution for any issues I've had until now.
I've just installed Lineage 15.1 from stock. So far I'm preferring this to stock and all works except the headphone Jack?
In a sense it works as in system sounds work but as soon as I play any music I get a quite his. When I try to watch a video with my headphones the video is very shuttery and there is no sound. When I unplug my head phones there are no issues.
Everything works fine with Bluetooth headphones
I'm running the latest nightly 15.1 lineage. Tried a custom kernel and this also didn't fix the issue
Any ideas?

You must flash 5.1.0 / 5.1.1 firmware. OpenBeta 9 / 10 firmwares causes audio issues
Hi guys,
My LG V20 is my main, and also my work phone. My goal is to have the lightest ROM available while still having a stable feature set (speaker, bluetooth, wifi, etc all working normally)
After a bit of trouble, I finally got 14.1 Lineage OS loaded up and it's definitely lighter but I've been running into issues. People do not hear me well on speaker, bluetooth music play "skips", and now the bluetooth is no longer connecting to devices I've connected it to before.
I'd love to have something that removes all bloatware, but still has the stability of stock. Any recommendations?
I have a H910 AT&T Variant,
My job requires my phone. I mainly use my phone for Skype, WhatsApp, Email, Google Maps + Navigation, Playing FLAC music using High Impedance headphones and Car 3.5mm input, FM Radio, RockRadio.com app/Galaxie Radio(RadioKing) app and 4G LTE data.
I tried AOKP, RR, LOS, Alpha and Super...both ver. 7(Nougat) and 8(Oreo).
This took me a very long time to decide, I also tried older stuff like WETA, etc...
Alpharom Oreo works best for me, everything I listed works fine.
I use the mk2000 kernel, great battery life, with heavy use you need to fast charge sometime in the day.
The only problem I have, the wifi seems to go off when phone is inactive because whatsapp on pc keep saying not connected until you unlock/wake up phone.
But it is so awesome, I love it...
AOSP based roms have problems with audio and dac, it works but not loud and clean, I tried playing with mixer file but no luck.
They are much faster and LOS15 based roms have the second screen working with custom kernel...
Don't worry, it is work in progress...
This is just my opinion, and it suits my lifestyle, you need to try some different ones and see for yourself.
It's funny you mentioned Alpha being the one you like most. I was going through the roms yesterday, and couldn't install some of the Oreo based roms (I'd get an error that the kernel wasn't the correct one, I guess since I was coming from 14.1)
After looking through some, I ended up installing the alpha omega oreo rom with mk2 kernel and it is working great so far (I just haven't tested bluetooth yet).
I've lost all the sluggishness I saw before, especially when using "Ok, Google" to add calendar appointments, etc.
I have the second screen which is also a nice little bonus. Battery life seems to be as good as it's been, as well.
One question : I tried using Magisik to check all the bloatware I wanna hide, but it doesn't seem to do anything? Is there a way I can remove LG and ATT bloatware completely?
i am still using wetarom with weta kernel... since it was well developed and a stock base rom, i found no problem whatsoever while using it... even tho is outdated, no one has successfully hacked my phone yet lol
The alpha install lets you choose what bloatware you want to remove...
Flash the magisk zip right after before reboot, thats what I do...
You can disable whatever apps remain like uber, etc....
I just keep LG Smartworld for themes, LG Health, FM Radio and LG Music app.
I've been trying to get the LG AirDrive to work, it worked some time with older alpha build but it now keeps crashing.

WETA was/is a great rom but something about running the latest android appeals to me. Great performance/battery life and audio stuff.
So far alpha rom has been working well (still trying to find a safe list of bloatware that I can remove via ADB, or some other way.)
Only issue I'm having, which I also had before, is that bluetooth play (especially in the car, but no exclusively), will sometimes stutter like it's a 90's cd player. Not sure if it could be related to the case I have on the phone at all? I'll have to test it both ways and see what happens
Just run BluReset app included with the ROM (I think you have to select it) it helps but need to do it ever so often, I just use Bluetooth for calls in the car and 3.5mm for audio.
Hi! Whenever I make a call my voice on the other end sounds like an echoing version of the voice of Animal from The Muppets. I converted My T-Mobile 6T A6013 to the international A6010 version using the MSMDownloadTool. I then installed the latest Hydrogen OS Android 10 beta. Everything works great on this build, except for the calling. My voice sounded clear before the H2OS beta update. I've cleared my phone's cache and reset the network settings, and disabled Ok Google access from any screen. Is there anything else I can try before I rollback to a stable Oxygen OS build? My phone is unrooted. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!
Update: It only seems to be bad using the phone's main microphone, and not when I am using the external microphone and speaker.
I just downgraded to a stable Android 9 Oxygen OS build, and the problem went away. I then installed the Android 10 Oxygen OS Beta, and the call quality problem came back. It's strange that this only happens on Android 10 beta builds.
Yes this happens to me also. I'm using an international version (dual SIM) on T-Mobile.

You are correct, its a bug with the Mic. If you switch to speaker phone then back to ear piece the sound will be good again.
This problem also exists on Beta 2 of HOS.
