No. Att does not support byod wifi calling or volte. Even with the proper firmware att does not have the device in their database and will not support it
In the future please post questions on q and a

On a further note. Oym is multi carrier. It will personalize the device based on the carrier sim inserted

Need T-mobile Modem on N9005

does anyone know where I can get the t-mobile modem? I want to replace it with the one I have on my N9005 to get LTE speeds

Go to sammobile.com, search for your firmware, download and extract modem.bin from there. That's the file you need.

for example, firmware for Hungary T-Mobile is here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-N9005&pcode=TMH#firmware
download and extract modem.bin from there. Then you can make this file flashable by Odin.
Not as easy as it looked. You have to get your phone to read the bands that T-Mobile is working with. There is a bunch of us, even a bounty out for it! Trying to get the N9005 version to read At&t LTE bands! Sure you can flash the modem but unsure if it'll work. Keep us updated though if you do flash and receive LTE service!

From what I can gather, due to others having same issues, it hasn't been possible (yet) one user notably @PatienceWithin had to sell his 9005 and get an 900A
just polling the community to see if anybody has figured it out yet or has gotten any closer... I'd really rather not resell my phone and buy a 900t but i really want lte... the baseband on these things are pure software, are the same baseband hardware as the tmo and att versions, there's no reason why it can't support the required bands. ugh!

Samsung galaxy s7 edge AT&T unlocked in the UK

Hi, I have bought an unlocked Samsung galaxy s7 edge (AT&T branded G935A). I'm using a UK sim and it's working fine. Only issue is I'm still stuck on Android 6 and each time I go to search for update it says my phone has the latest update. I want to know if I can safely flash the firmware to a UK unlocked firmware or even the US unlocked firmware?.. I don't care if I lose the AT&T items from the phone. Actually if I can lose those things the better. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
You should be able to do this, as I've an AT&T S7 Edge phone unlocked for international use, and I've flashed things over and over without losing the unlocking
That's great, would it be possible to tell me which firmware you flashed it and a link if you have it. Much appreciated and thanks in advance. Did you flash it with the us unlocked firmware or international one. I want to flash it with UK unlocked firmware..

I flashed with the unlocked US firmware (U firmware) and it worked fine, flashing international won't work sadly. But using the U firmware should work fine, I have no link at the moment, but I'll search the threads and see if I get you one

[Request] TWRP for the Verizon LG G6 VS988

I really want root so I can remove the bloatware on my VS988. Could some please make a compatible custom recovery for this model? Thanks!

There is no unlocked boot loader for the VS988.
There is no way to add TWRP without a boot loader unlock.
If you like the LG G6, sell the Verizon version and get the US997 version with has a boot loader you can unlock and it also works on VZW.

I have the US997 Unlocked and on Verizon. It works great. After my Moto X I'll never purchase a phone from Verizon again. Unlocked all the way!

It isn't that simple. Your model, the VS988, is a locked down Verizon variant. LG has locked the carrier versions of the G6, so it doesn't matter if your on AT&T, Verizon or even US Cellular. You are unable to modify the software of a carrier branded variant. If you wanted to be able to modify your device you should of done research before you made the purchase and went with a US997, as it has an unlocked bootloader and supports the bands for every major United States carrier. Your best bet, if you want to do software modification, is to sell your current VS997 and pickup a new US997 for around $450. All accessories would work with both models so it wouldn't be as if you were buying all new accessories on top of it.

Your right. That was my mistake lol. I'm gonna wait till Cyber monday and buy the US977 model and try to sell my original.
Any chance I can get help finding the stock Verizon rom? I have the VS998 and cant seem to find it anywhere, the post here in XDA leads to a blank page.
Here is the Oreo update, it's the one before current version which contained security fix.

Tmobile unlocked h918 cannot add new apn?!

I just got the h918 and am trying to add a new app but there is no menu button... Neither a plus nor three little dots. I prefer a straight talk sim but could be talked into cricket etc... But I tried with my current straight talk sim and it makes calls but no data.
Also what bootloader do I need what rom do I need... I'd like to root this then flash off the T-Mobile bloatware...
I was able to add apn to same model unlocked V20 setting under the connections choose more, then choose mobile network, add apn and I went online to find straight talk apn's , I'm on att network so I chose that apn to manually add

As far as unlocking bootloader and rooting, then installing custom rom, good luck and follow all rules and most of all understand what your doing before you try lol

Optimusman, I've been using a Samsung S7 Edge using the AT&T Straight Talk sim. Of course it's locked down, can root but nothing else and I miss trying out new ROMs and everything. It seems like the H918 has more ROMs available and stuff than the H910 but I was concerned about signal and data reception. Could you give a quick reception/data review of the H918 using an AT&T Straight Talk sim?? A couple of bands are different between the H910 and the H918.

the U designated devices are typically the factory unlocked devices built to be sold specifically outside of carrier restrictions. Every Snapdragon galaxy device is essentially the same, and from the S8 on, literally the same(with the exception of the Exynos vs Snapdragon and single vs dual sim. In the case of the latter, the phones are still the same, they just have deeper sim trays). The S7 was still before Samsung decided to nix the dozen different phone model idea in favor of the much more streamlined setup they have now. There were still a couple variants in the USA for the S7, mainly differing between the AT&T and T-Mob models and the CDMA ones. The CDMA ones are physically the exact same as the unlocked U models i mentioned before, just flashed with their carrier specific firmware. Those CDMA ones can have the U firmware flashed on them and the phone would never behave any differently than a U model that came directly from the factory. I have a Cricket S9 and i have the U1 firmware flashed on it, works like a charm.

oh, forgot to address the second part of your question. the reason people want to do this is to remove the bloatware that comes from the carrier since we dont have root. Down side is that if youre still using the carrier that the phone was set up for initially and you flash the U firmware, youll lose wifi calling and voLTE.
