I had a problem where the microphone on the earphones couldn't be used for sound input such as discord, whatsapp, and zoom. but this is normal when playing games like mobile legends. What should I do....? I really believe that my earphones are not the cause.

Hey everyone,
since today my phone will not play any audio through its speakers.
At first, it was only media audio, i.e. Youtube videos or music, that would have no sound.
The alarm sound and my ringtone would still play as usual.
Unfortunately, after checking again this evening they don't work anymore either.
The only time the speakers seem to be working is when I put someone on speakerphone.
If I just leave a call as is, I can't hear anything.
Although somehow the caller - instead - hears themselves with a slight delay.
Everythings works fine with headphones though.
I've tried resetting my phone, which hasn't helped at all, so I'm kind of lost.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Ive got exactly the same problem. The speakers dont work unless i put the phone on speakerphone in a call. And even then the sound is buggy.
Did you install in the meantime any magisk module?
any solution ?

Speaker's not working and showing the headphone icon also when I'm not using the headphone with headphones I'm hearing everything but without headphone not hearing anything.... call,music apps nothing hearing ... any solution?
my phone speaker get mute suddenly but no audio comes out in instagram , MX player , music player , you tube , ring tone , Alarm . but i can hear audio through headphone ... audio comes from the speaker for 5 to 10 seconds after it get stop but the video will run without audio ... plz resolve with the solution...
My oneplus 5 have a big problem, headphone microphone sound is very small, but phone's microphone is working good, I just sure not my headphone problem because it's work fine on my redminote 3, any modules or kernel can be repaired？
When I use discord, Line or Messenger, I can hear my friends sound very well, but they say my sound is very very small.

I have been using zenfone max pro m1(ZB601KL) for 2 months. When I try to record some audio or music in my device through earphone , the sound output is very distorted and sound seems to have very much treble and no bass. The quality is too low as we feel like recording in old mobile phones. I have tried boat 225 and apple wired earphones. The same output . I have used both these earphones in my zenfone 5(2014 released) and it works perfect. Issue is causing problems while making both general and internet calls. I cannot find any such issue reported about this phone on the internet since now. My inbuilt phone mic is working fine. Anyone who knows about this issue please help me. Thanks for any help....

I'm on the global version of miui 12.0.2.0 for davinci, since I updated yesterday via fastboot Spotify sounds robotic and distorted, I checked if it was a problem with my headphones but it isn't that, audio plays normally on YouTube vanced, and on Spotify lite. Also I can notice a little audio distortion on the speaker as well. I was wondering if anyone had this issue as well, I really liked the sound the I had in miui 11, with viper4android, and I want to get back to that specific sound, but if Spotify sounds bad no matter what I'm screwed. That could be a rom specific bug. You can try a different rom to confirm. Try clean flashing with 087 firmware. If that doesn't work, I don't think you can do anything about this except wait for an update or use a different rom.
