The honor European team normally does beta testing of new software releases, but I do not know what their plans are for honor 5X. I suggest visiting Hihonor.com and it will redirect you to the page for your region the latest info.

I have the L21 variant and we still haven't got the b140 update.... Are we being left behind? Well we get the update??

I checked hihonor.com , signed up, but no info about beta testing program.... I will try to talk with a european honor representant. If you can help me with this I will appreciate.

I filled out the registration form with all info, input the correct captcha (pop up even says it's correct) check the i am ove 13 box and press register and a small red pop-up says system error, then the captcha disappears and resets. Tried it a dozen time with chrome and a few times with MS Edge browser, no go.
Not really a big deal though, already looking at getting a nexus 5x. Love the dual sim of this phone but the UI is crap and the community is small. Looking at other Huawei communities on XDA leads me to believe that it's not going to be much different here. A phone with essentially 1 developer isn't for me. Passing it off to my kids.
On the brightside, the fingerpint scanner on this phone is great and I don't think I can ever buy another phone without one.

I have the exact same problem. The "hint" makes no sense... Can't login with your email, and you can't register your email on the registration screen because it's already taken by you... argh!

Yea I think their website is broken or something, i finally tried to use my gfs email and it worked, but I'd rather have my email so I can check it whenever I want, hopefully they can fix it or at least let me switch my email over

I'm not really into the visor look of the 6p. My HTC M9 had plenty of power and was nice but I have grown to love the fingerprint scanner (shouldn't be a surprise though since I owned the Moto Atrix 4g which was the first phone with a fingerprint scanner back in 2011). I actually use my phone for ........... well, phone calls so i'm not always looking for the latest and greatest. I loved my Nexus 4 and the nexus 5 was nice too, so I'm absolutely positive I'll be happy with the nexus 5x.
Actually, pulled the trigger on the Nexus 5x ($50 off for the next week or so) about 10 minutes after the post on here asking me to "try another browser or post a screen shot of the error message" while trying to register. There are dozens of posts on here of people not being able to successfully complete the requirements to receive an unlock code for their bootloader, so the registration issue really shouldn't be a surprise. One thing I know about the Nexus devices is that there will always be developer support and google's websites generally just work.
The Honor 5x is a way better phone than it's $200 price would lead people to believe, I'm just not a fan of EMUI or the slight lag that seems to plague the touch interface (kills glyph hacking in ingress ). Also, I find that CM is great, but it's always been a bit more of a battery hog on the dozen or so devices I've used it on over the years than stock or nearly stock AOSP. It's way too early to make that judgement about CM for the Honor 5x, but it's not too early to see that on XDA the Huawei forums are very limited with little to no development and marginal support from the manufacturer.
Add it all up and the 32gb Nexus 5X at $349 ($50 off) seems like a good deal.

I signed up for the beta in the Samsung+ app. Got accepted, installed the beta. If I open the Samsung Members app to submit feedback, it tells me I'm not in the beta. Stupid. If I can't help I don't want the beta (too buggy), but because the Members app doesn't think I'm in the beta I can't even withdraw from the beta :good:

the best part is i posted those screenshots to imgur and everyone took it without crediting me. I know this was last week, but still. I DID IT!

I have the same issue. Two hours on the phone with the 866 number, about 5 different clueless reps, a bunch of posts in the Samsung Forum, nothing works.
I can downgrade the phone using SmartSwitch, but then get nagged to death about reinstalling the beta. Reinstalling the beta doesn't change anything. It's making me nuts.

I wen to install Widevine Level 1 certification today.

I went to OnePlus store personally just now because the great people therr did not pickup the phone full day yesterday
one guy is telling that they're not ready now ( because they don't have internet or some crap) , two people discussed in a local language and asked me to come tomorrow.
one female is asking me to come on Sunday, it's just 10 minutes work.
I asked about data, one guy is saying that everything will be wiped, one is saying that nothing will happen
noob morons don't know ****, I am wondering why do they even hire them? such unprofessional assistance.
I visited OnePlus Experience Store in Brigade Road, Bangalore.

Customer service centers in India generally run by third-party companies mostly. If the person did not understand what you were talking about you can also told them what's the Widevine encryption and should have asked them to talk to their superiors if they do not have any idea about it. India is a country which still lacks a proper internet connection. So if they have any issues regarding internet connection, they must have asked you to come on next day to get it flashed. Also you are of those luckiest persons who can visit the service centers in person and get it done within few minutes. OnePlus 5T users around the globe have that advantage? Try it once again in polite way. You should not shout here by abusing someone.

I visited them today. They were completely professional and completed the update in 5 mins. No data loss as well. I have verified that the update has been installed via the DRM info app.

I'm from Kolkata and the service centre i went to was called regeneresis. They said it would take barely 30 mins but after waiting for over 4 hours, i was given a completely wiped device with bl locked and they said they're having issues with their ip(?)

Was your BL unlocked? Mine was locked but was on the open beta. No mods made otherwise. Not sure if an unlocked BL will require a wipe.

They kinda wasted 4 hours after telling me initially that it would take 30 mins max.
Now when i call them they tell me it might take a week or so. Where r u from?

Oh, that's bad. I'm from Bangalore. I got mine updated at the OnePlus experience store.

I went to the exclusive service centre at Koramangala Today and got it updated with in 10 minutes without any data loss. My phone is unlocked and rooted with magisk.

What's this updates guys ??

I was on Open Beta 3 while upgrading and Open Beta 3 does not support L1, maybe that's why they wiped. (it is necessary to wipe to rollback to stable OOS)

I called OP customer care and enquired about the update and she told me that the update currently supports only Netlfix HD and not Amazon Prime video HD. Can someone confirm?

If it says L3 Security level, the update is not applied, right? It must say L1?

this seems to be an India thread? nobody else is providing any input re this "update". how do the rest of us with no OP service centers in our countries get this patch?

I had a conversation with OnePlus on live chat. I directly used the term "widevine level 1".
He told me that it's a 1-2 hour process and that if I have decrypted my storage and unlocked BL, I should ideally revert both and backup my data.

it depends on the region/country. just check from time to time. participants are 703/1500. once you have the project listed on FUT, sing up immediately

I have a Nova 3 (PAR-LX1C432). I very hope it will be available before the sites will full.

Does it really take a long time to be approved upon signing up ? It is almost 12 hours but I am still in the signing process.

Is not work for me its say you have problem to conect any one have this problem ?

Yes it takes time. 2 days at least in my case. Once approved you'll have ro wait for the update to come in system updater.

Not available for the majority of the world only Asia and Europe and USA so far.

Probably only for US users. In Canada it tells me my phone isn't in this warranty

I copied the IMEI number from the "about phone" and it directs me to a page that says that this is for Fold, Z Flip and Note 20. I have 2 of the Note 20 Ultras and it does the same for both. I guess I need a little help here.

when you copy with from about phone it has spaces. take out the spaces in the imei number.

Yes that's Samsung Care's website. Go to https://form.p1care.com instead of the provided https://form.p1care.com/sea/ivr-n20 it takes you to Samsungs website.

I did mine through FB Chat a couple of days ago and just got the UPS delivery notice for tomorrow.

Has anyone got them yet? I thought it was here that I saw someone got them.
