Any cheap android with HDMI output and no screen for cars? - Android Head-Units

Hi guys,
Is there any android media player made for cars - same as the cheap ones for home, but with 12V, ACC connection for power up/shutdown and so it saves its memory like car devices - with HDMI out and NO screen?
Backstory:
I recently installed and removed the AVIN Avant4 PX6 android unit from my E39 M5. I wanted it for carplay and ibusapp - but the quality of the unit was just poor, terribly sound quality even with DSP chip and other various bugs in software.
I ended up removing the AVIN and replacing it with a new Pioneer with HDMI video in. I am now running an android media player with ibus app. It works well (just no touch screen). My question is, what am I losing by not having an accessory wire for the media player?
Currently I have the Resler and media player connected to ACC wire so it turns on/off with the car. The media player loses date when that happens but i turned off the automatic updating of time for the car so that works fine.
I have searched for some cheap external car android with 12V+ , ACC, connection so it can save the memory but havent found anything without a screen, and all the ones with a screen do not have HDMI out.

bump .. anyone?

Android Head Units- Multi Task Sound Output

I've been searching for an Android replacement head unit to my current Kenwood DNX525DAB.
One good thing with the Kenwood was the ability to play video to an external screen at the back of the car and continue using the satnav on the main screen. The video's audio could also be played from the rear speakers whilst (e.g.) playing radio from the front speakers.
I've messaged via Aliexpress if any Joying type units have this capability but the language barrier is a problem.
Can anybody say whether this is possible mechanically or with extra software installed with any android unit?
From my research, assuming that you have dual zones installed in your vehicle (separate monitors/separate speakers for the rear passengers) via the RCA A/V outputs:
For audio and video sources that are native to the head unit via the android OS such as music/mp3s, videos, streaming services, and other android apps; you can only display and play that media to the main zone (aka your main android screen and your main connected speakers). You CAN NOT output the audio/video from apps to your secondary zone.
The only audio/video you are able to display to your secondary zone (that are connected via the analog RCA A/V out) is from the analog RCA A/V inputs from the back of the head unit or the physical DVD player in the head unit.
What this basically means is that if you want your rear passengers to be able to stream, play music, play videos, etc independently from your main head unit, you need to plug in a device that can do all of that separately via the analog RCA inputs. (or their only media source will be the physical DVD player). I've seen other people plug in other android boxes that have RCA outs to the back of the head unit for their rear passengers to control.

Connecting via USB to processor/DAC - Eonon GA8150 Android 7

Hi Guys
I have been searching and researching for hours but can't get this to work the way that I want, although I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.
I recently purchased one of my dream cars, and promptly changed the headunit to a more modern unit, to allow me to have spotify, google maps, etc etc. I purchased the Eonon GA8150A for this purpose, and it sounds OK.
I was always planning to upgrade the sound, namely using a Helix DSP and amplifier, upgrading the speakers, etc etc.
Since the helix has an optical input, I figured I could maximise quality by running a digital signal to the unit - to this end I purchased a Behringer UCA202, as its a class compliant USB DAC which has optical out.
I connected via USB, and went into developer settings, and changed the "Select USB Configuration" to Audio. I plugged in some headphones for testing, and....nothing.
After some research, I downloaded the Onkyo player, and this worked! I was getting audio via my USB dac, through the headphones. But spotify, bluetooth, radio, nothing else worked.
Was wondering if what I am trying to achieve is possible?
The only other alternative it to sell the uni, and purchase an AVIN Avant 3 unit - this comes with high quality 4V pre outs but its a lot more expensive and i really dont want to do this. I could use the RCA outs on the Eonon to feed the processor, but as mentioned, these leads to many stages of A/D D/A conversion that will markedly reduce quality.
Thanks
Saad
Ok updates - it now works - the inbuilt audio player via USB, spotify, both work, however the radio doesn't send audio via the DAC, and nor does it send audio to the dac from my phone via bluetooth.
Not sure why this works now, maybe I had to turn off the car a while so the unit could properly reset?
The head unit volume control however doesn't work to adjust the volume of the audio coming from the dac.
Any way to get radio and bluetooth working via the dac?
Cheers

E92 M3 Android Headunit AUX music stops when switching to original CIC iDrive?

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my headunit to Android 10, vs my old one which was on 4.4.4.
Hoping someone can shed some light on the situation i've got. The headunit works perfectly apart from the issue of when I'm playing audio on it weather that be a local file, apple car play etc.. when I switch back to the OEM CIC iDrive the audio stops. The source selection on the iDrive remains where AUX is selected, it's just the music pauses. If I'm on apple car play I then have to click play again. This never happened on my old unit, it would play the audio regardless of if it was on the original BMW screen or on the android unit, it wouldn't get inturrupted.
I've made a video showcasing the issue, and I've showed what cables I've plugged into where. I've also showed my settings as well. I'm almost certain it's a software issue rather than hardware as I can physically hear the music.
EDIT: I don't have enough posts to post the link...

Head unit with fully working bluetooth?

Does anyone have an recommendations on an double din android based head unit that has a fully working bluetooth module? Something that can pair with and control an Alpine PXE-0850S amplifier. Does such a head unit exist?
Thanks
I would also like to know if such a product exist.
With new headunits including plenty of memory, storage, fast a75 cores and 4g -but high noise floor and only 2 slow usb ports+crippled BT is such as letdown :-(
I noticed the Atoto units have two bluetooth modules and support bluetooth tethering. Any chance those will pair with generic devices?
Well, I answered my own question by buying an Atoto S8 and trying it out. The second bluetooth module seems to be a normal fully working module and does pair with the Alpine amp and allows the amp settings to be configured using the Alpine app. However, since the amp also supports bluetooth streaming, whenever the head unit connects to the amp over bluetooth it routes audio output from music apps (but not the radio) via the bluetooth connection (instead of spdif), bypassing the head unit volume controls. So whenever I want to change the amp configuration I have to pair it with the head unit, run the Alpine app, make the changes, and then unpair the amp. Grrrr.....

Newbie: Android tab hooked up to Sony BT Amplifier w/o head unit

Hi Everyone,
I hate stock car audio set ups and can't stand how bad the stick head units are in my country India.
I'm planning on buying a new car, the Nissan Magnite (the base version usually comes with just the Aircon and no bahut, music player or speakers) and wanted to set up the ICE without any stock components. Could you help me understand if the following set up would work as I'm describing it.
Car amplifier: Sony XM - GS6 (with built in DSP)
Head unit: Samsung s6 tab lite with wireless charging dock
Speakers and sub woofer: haven't finalized, evaluating options
1) can I install the amplifier in the 2 din console space, have the tab connect to the amplifier via Bluetooth and the tab becomes the default screen. Is this possible?
2) since the tab will be playing the music, can it also act as a DSP or an equaliser via any available apps? Like what's the best way to get quality output from this setup?
3) can the controls be set up to connect the following to the tab, either via Bluetooth or via USB or via 3.2 jack and finally control them either by voice assistant or dashboard control buttons on the tab:
a) steering mounted controls for music player and calling,
b) FM radio antenna to connect to the tab,
c) reverse mirror, obd scanner, Aircon controls?
Thanks in advance!
Bump!! Pls reply to a noob
TIA
