Computer doesn't recognize Nexus 4

Hello, I flashed the 4.2.2 factory image but now my phone doesn't get recognized by my pc so I cant get music etc on it.
What did I miss out on? I am using Windows 8.

Enable usb debugging in developers options and reconnect to usb and you will see a little window appearing. Press yes in the window.

I think that isnt the problem since a lot of users dont even know about usb debugging and developer options. I just want it for music etc.

Try installing this usb driver http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502 if you haven`t allready.

I have, since I was able to flash images through fastboot and before all this I could just get ROMs and music etc on the SD-card.

Strange, but turning USB debugging on did the trick!

[Q] usb connection

I can't connect my galaxy y to my pc
USB debugging is ticked
I have latest kies and drivers
other phones can connect (ace)
it only charges my phone whenever i connect.
running jellyblastv3 and it was fine in the past

What I did is:
connect phone to pc
enter download mode
wait for drivers to install on windows (dafuq)
exit download mode and boot

Plugging in the USB i a different ought to work. Try this before you go in for more serious options like ODIN.
Try connecting the phone via an USB at the back-panel of your PC.

Yes, it worked

In mine, It won't connect anymore , I think something is already damaged inside but charging in the computer and with the wall charger is just normal. My phone acts weird this time, I don't know why

You need to re-install the Drivers... Should work :good:

[Q]_S5360, USB Device Not Recognized_ Help plz

I tried a ROM, and i fail, i can't turn on my phone (s5360), i must back my phone to STOCK ROM with Odin, but USB Device Not Recognized, i installed driver, help me

if you have installed the driver correctly using rear usb ports if on a pc and set your phone to download mode correctly there is no reason why odin will not display com then a number in a coloured box under com:id which shows odin is connected and you have android adb device displayed in device manager

you can not use kies to flash or restore firmware on galaxy y - it is not supported and kies is just not needed
if you have installed the usb drivers from the link in my thread (in compatibility mode if on windows 8/8.1) - are using a working usb cable rear usb ports on pc and correct split firmware from my thread it will work
unless you have a faulty usb port/cable it will be due to user error

Are you boot into download mode already? If not , odin will not recognize your phone anyway

install samsung usb driver first n then connect your phone with download mode by usb
Note:make sure that usb driver is install properly before connect ur phone

did you run the usb driver setup in compatibility mode?
right click the setup file
click properties
click compatibility tab
tick box to run in compatibility
select windows xp (service pack 2 will do)
apply
then run the setup
im using windows 8.1 and no problems with me

right click the device
click uninstall
restart the pc
then put phone into download mode
connect usb
push vol up on phone to start connection
drivers should then install

Try to use your cable connected from your pc and your phone again. If the same problem happened, try to connect your phone using that cable to another pc. BUT if that phone is not recognized, I think the problem is in the cable. Try to buy another one, and if same thing happened, the problem is in the usb port of your phone.

[Q] MTP USB Conection problem Help !!

hi guys recently i have buyed an lte note 3 SM n9005 , running in KK
but i have found a huge issue that i can't conect my phone on MTP mode
and when conect the cable to my phone nothing happens exept a charging battery
& there is no notification about plugging the device to pc but the adb conection work
all i'm asking for is any way or guide toturial to fix MTP so i can transfer files to my phone from my PC
BTW i'm terrebly sorry for my Bad English :crying:

Open the Dialer, enter *#0808# and see what is your current settings?

having the same issues , mine says ap and mtp+adb.
think i may have f:ed something up with my usb 3.0 settings but not quite sure because its the same with usb 2.0...
if anyone has any ideas pls let me know. help would be much appreciated

my note is charging but being recognized. i had swapped cables, tried a diffrent computer, downloaded kies for drivers and manualy downloaded drivers andnothing. kies does not recognize it helpppppp i need odin to recognize as well!!!

Well As you know the Devise that i have baught is new !!
and the cause was that the phone was seting on PTP MODe
and i've just follewed Mr " vndnguyen " advice which typing in the dialer the following code :
*#0808#
and i've just set it from PTP Mode to MTP+ADB option !! :laugh:
now my phone is regonized by My PC :highfive:
that's it!! it worked for and i wish the same 4 you too :victory: good luck Pal :good:

Can you maybe know what is means CP and AP when i enter in USB Settings menu when enter *#0808# i have for now set AP and usb settings to MTP+ADB

That setting is correct, leave as it is.
CP = Cellular Processor
AP = Application Processor

URGENT NEEDING HELP ! S4 GT-I9505 Bricked and not conneting

Hi there everyone !
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 and it stopped connecting MTP via USB nso I tried out a "Wipe Cache" in Recovery
and the phone restarted it shows a note "System UI Stopped" and the phone keep in a black screen !!!
Please, somebody help me this phone is not totaly mine, it's from the company I work in :/
I can't even try a Stock Rom because the phone isn't being reconised by Windows
(yes I have all drivers installed and updated)

Yes I did, but nothing happens for while
once I saw something like that but with my old one a Lenovo K900, but the lenovo was still recognised by Windows so I had how to flash the room back :|

So there is no device that appears in device manager? Have you installed Kies or SmartSwitch?

Yes I did, but only Kies, the second one I didn't know, gonna try it out now !

Done that too and still with the same problema ... no Device on DeviceManager or even a sound noticing that I've connect the phone on both devices (Computer and Smartphone)
sad...

In what state (On, Off, Recovery, Download Mode) was the phone when you tried to connect it?

All of that, when I connect with the phone on/off it just charges ... When it's on Download mode or recovery nothing happens
