Hey folks,
I'm trying to unlock my J320FN, I've got a stock ROM installed but there's no option for PersoSHA Off (or On) in the service menu. It just has "6" there.
I've seen on other threads that I need to downgrade my modem.
I'm not sure exactly how to do that, I have Odin v3.10 and I'm not sure what files are the modem files in a ROM. I've struggled non-passworded/virus copies of just the modem files so I'm not sure what they're titled.
With Odin, I don't what to select to flash them (I can flash full ROMs easy enough but never had to do this), as in BL, AP etc and what files.
Would anyone be able to help? Thanks

Hi,
i am trying to fix software on my note3 but i have problems finding the right files.
There is Bootloader, PDA, CSC and Baseband but i don't know how to upgrade it to the correct versions.
For example i found Version OK9 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/direct-download-bootloaders-modems-t3258803
But there is no file to update PDA, CSC and Baseband?
I installed the KERNEL file and it changed the Kernel. Did not try RECOVERY yet because i think it could overwrite the Custom Recovery TWRP that is installed now.
In older post i also found some "CP" files for OJ6 and OK6 and they installed new version for PDA but i can not find them for OK9?
Can anybody please explain the different files and how to find the right versions?
I downloaded two files to update bootloader and PDA to OK6 but i can only update the Bootloader but PDA Version does not change.
CP_N9005_OK6.tar.md5
BL_N9005_OK6.tar.md5
The first file is supposed to update the PDA or not?
CP is modem/baseband and it does not update PDA. AP is PDA. You can find complete firmwares from http://www.sammobile.com/. These packages contains all parts together and you can find installation instructions for example from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdDgaqsYrRs.

Ah i see, thx for your help!
Hm so maybe it could be a good idea to install a untouched Stock Rom first and then go to modified image?
I have now installed N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005DBTGBOI1_DBT Stock Image with Odin.
When i want to go back to this image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-lp-tw-rom-t3027148 is it enought to just install it or do i need to wipe anything before?
I don't want all the samsung adware...
Oh it even killed the philz touch recovery...

how to flash only this PDA/AP & Bootloader via odin?
BL ver : A515FXXU3BTI2
AP Ver : A515FXXU3BTI2
Neither of those are for Note 3 based upon what you have posted .
BL in bl section AP in ap section on Odin .
Hi guys, I need just a little help, I am the new owner of a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but not new to XDA or flashing ROM's rooting devices, s-off'ing phones etc, but only on HTC's.
I know that before you change anything alwayS know how to fix it first, so.....so far I have downloaded all of the following to be what I believe to be for my phone:
G935FXXU1BPH6_G935FVIR1BPH2_VIR.zip ROM ZIP with contains 5 files (im with Virgin mobile in the UK)
Samsung Drivers for windows (already installed)
Odin 3.11.2 (didnt need anything like this for doing HTC's)
I already have fastboot and ADB from working on my HTC.
Now the phone is an SM-G935F Exynos Octa 8890 chip and when I check for updates comes up with 3 sets of digits of whats already installed, G935FXXU1BPH6/ G935FVIR1BPH2/ G935FXXU1BPH1
So all I want to know, is if I flash a custom rom for my device, and TWRP etc, will that come with 5 files too or do I just flash it in the AP section of ODIN ? also if anything goes wrong and I need to flash the stock rom back again, do I just flash the whole zip in the AP section, or do I extract the zip and just flash the AP part, or do I need to flash all parts, AP, CSC, BL etc ?
There is also something I read somewhere, I think it was at Sammobile, about before flashing a rom you must set a pin and also modify some kind of meta data, extract the zip, modify and then zip back up ? sometimes there are just too many guides and they just lead to confusion.
Hello!
I'm trying to install a rom which requires me to update/flash my Bootloader & Modem to the MM ones. Now I'm running into a problem where Odin will freeze at certain parts and after a while it fails writing the file .
I've tried odin v3.10 & v3.12, I've tried different USB- cables & ports and I've enabled USB Debugging and OEM Unlock in my developer options. Any other possible suggestions :fingers-crossed:?
Thanks in advance.
I managed a glimpse of the zip file you downloaded from the ROM thread.
1. BL_G935FXXU1BPJG.tar.md5
2. CP_G935FXXU1BPJG.tar.md5
You're using Odin3 v3.12, and it's clearly stated md5 format is an old model of updating home binary. New versions will only accept .tar files. This would explain the write errors you're getting.
Updating of bootloader and modem require .tar files to be flashed using the BL and CP slots respectively. I suspect you would only need to rename the files to .tar for them to work, but pls clarify with the ROM developer.
Dear Community,
I have managed to reach this wonderful error message on my S8. A few of you knew this maybe with "FRP" from other Samsung devices. However, I know I get this because I am using a custom rom and a modified kernel. I also do know a possible solution might be flashin a new stock firmware through Odin - so my question is, how can I save my data? I only need my Whatsapp folder and my pictures.
For the nosy readers, I did download a GPS Faker App from the Google Playstore, and I had to re-enable my developer settings. Sadly I forgot to push the button for "OEM Unlock" to yes.
Have a nice day!
Sadly there is no other way to fix this, the only way I got it to work again was to go into Odin mode and flash a stock firmware ( I also lost root access and TWRP, which I installed afterwards again )
You can YouTube how to flash a stock firmware
Hopefully this helped

Is there no other option like installing an unmodified kernel through odin? Tried with Jesse, but I was not able to transform the flashable .zip to a .tar.md5 for Odin.
I'm pretty sure to install a custom kernel you need OEM unlocked, but I might be wrong... I just installed the firmware i needed from sammobile and flashed it using Odin.

Just to touch on this for future readers.
He already had OEM Unlocked (So to speak) He has flashed a stock ROM or Custom ROM, and continued with Rooted, TWRP and maybe Xposed.
But for one reason or another he has had to activate the developer settings to change a toggle.
In doing so, he changed the toggle needed, but this also Triggers the OEM Option.
If you do not select the OEM Option, then when you reboot your device, you are locked with this message.
It basically sets it self to off.
There is no way to bypass this message, the system has blocked itself from booted and thats that.
All you can do is flash the Stock Files via Odin again, You may be lucky flashing the Home_CSC file to prevent Data loss, But dont hold your breath

Hello. I got stuck in the "custom binary blocked FAP lock" too. my question is: will there be any problem if i try to flash a firmware from another country? Also, what are the risks that i completely brick my phone?
I was on stock rom 8.0, with twrp and magisk installed.

one of the lucky ones here.
I think my biggest obstacle is my Mac. Got all my pre-requistes sorted out , run jOdin, connected to phone, open up the firmware folder and designate the correct files, get the PIT file, and click start.... and get "A corrupted file was detected. In order to continue, you must select a valid Odin File" error . Downloaded several firmwares and cant get past this issue.. Not sure what to do (new versions of jOdin comptability? But even back in 2017, i tried flashing with jOdin but never succeeded despite following every step.
Hi guys, a few months ago I tried to install a custom rom (LightRom) and I was stupid enough to not backup my EFS folder. It stuffed up my Sim card so I tried using a tutorial which said to flash a file called fix.regalstreak. After flashing this my phone was hard Bricked and after flashing TWRP, my phones EFS was empty and no ADB command could fix it. I still am unable to boot into any ROM or stock - even though I can get into the custom Roms install page and my EFS folder is empty with no backup so how do I fix this?
Note:
When flashing stock firmware, if I try to use a pit file with combination of AP, BL, CP, CSC it fails, but if I flash AP, BL or CP it works so CSC has an Issue I think.
However, when I flash with no pit file my phone gets stuck at the Samsung Galaxy S8 screen.
Sorry for the long post
I had the same problem but I managed to solve it by downloading the file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/z0z69kilpala6tu/EFS-SM-G950F-31-08-2018_03-48-37.tar/file after opening in odin put the device in download mode, use odin 3.11.1 open the file in the AP tab then press start, after the procedure, install twrp and install a custom rom I recommend the hades rom 2.0, the stock rom doesn't work the only problem and the device has a null imei
Thank you so much I have been searching for answers everywhere and you have saved my phone

You have to Unlock OEM first
