Here is the Eng Boot for the SM-G955U. I did not get this, @unitz0mbie posted it. I am just posting it here. This is instructions for how to switch carriers.
G955U1 firmware is the US firmware. It has the CSC info of each carrier but does NOT have any of the bloat or boot logos. For T-Mobile it has WiFi Calling and VoLTE. Verizon texting works with data and WiFi calling. All those carrier features work. AND It changes depending on the SIM card in your phone. So you don't need to keep flashing firmwares. I don't know for what device the G955U1 would come on. The US unlocked device has a model number of SM-G955UZKAXAA and a carrier SW version of XAA/XAA/XAA. I think this firmware is the one that they give reviewers. Gear VR doesn't work.
Thanks to @Rushstrike for going through everything with me for carrier changes.

@mweinbach so I'm assuming since you mentioned root, this is the Engineering Boot we've been waiting for with write permission??

No. I need to rewrite that. I just copied this from my S8 thread.
Wait, I flashed the unlocked firmware last week. I have zero bloat so it definitely appears I'm running the firmware but my CSC shows as TMB (originally on T-Mobile firmware.) So let's say I purchased an unlocked US model and popped my T-Mobile SIM in it. Should the CSC say XAA or TMB? If XAA, I can use your guide to switch over to XAA right?

TMB because the way it works is that it enables carrier CSC settings without the bloat. Switching to the XAA does nothing. It will just switch back to TMB when you put in your sim card.

Perfect. Was already getting ready to jump off a bridge after this long day. Lol thanks bro, great thread.
Glad I'm not the only one with broken VR. (not that I wish for that, just glad it isn't just me being a noob all over again.) Hopefully they fix it.

Just flashed this on my unlocked T Mobile S8+, everything is working Wifi Calling and etc. I will have to wait until next week to try a Verizon SIM to see if that works.
Thanks for the post, but, is there anyway we can get a mirror for these files? sammobile is garbage. Why not just use google drive?

I am not sure what you mean. An update?
How to get rid of "Ramadan" and Hijri on calendar? SM-G950FD Dual Sim version
EDIT- See last post on page 3 by me. Solution found, and samsung pay also working.
Hello, I got my new S8 dual sim version from ebay today, was shipped from texas, but is the dual sim "DUOS" international version. The calendar app has the orange Ramadan line through it and "Hijri" in the settings. Is there any way at all to get rid of this?
I'm not sure if there is a different OEM rom I can flash in ODIN that would get rid of this. I definitely don't want it in my calendar, along with some different dates I'm not aware of that also show up. I googled it and looks like muslim dates.
I've read that SM-G950F roms are compatible, but what about odin flashing F roms and not FD? Would this solve the problem somehow if there is no other work around?

That doesn't work though. You can press on it, shows the date individually, event is there but clicking on it does nothing. Also as far I can tell no way to get rid of the muslim calendar dates also. I want to keep it OEM for now, no root, is there any other international variant OEM rom to flash?

You can choose what calendar sources you want (google, celebrations, facebook etc.) All of them are on by default. You just have to find it in the calendar app and disable that calendar. It is celebrations calendar for sure.
I don't know. I'm thinking it's baked into the ROM for real now. I googled this also and it seems the S7 had the issue also on international variants. But there were some work arounds I think. I tried unselecting all the different calendars. There is none that states celebrations on here.

You can flash any firmware (using Odin) from the F version to the FD one with absolutely no issue.
Edit: If you are scared to flash an F firmware, you can flash the Russian one (from the FD) and it wont have any of that "bloatware"

It's an updated version also it seems, as I'm on AQDG and security patch April 1, 2017 and this one is 6-1-17. This won't put the russian alphabet on my phone will it? lol
Mine has the Egypt firmware apparently.

That should do
You can remove the russian keyboard very easily (it is like if you flash a Greek or Italian OS, no big deal)
But be aware. In order to avoid the EGY CSC, you shouldnt have a SIM card while booting for the first time and you should probably use a .pit file
Last but not least, use SamFirm to download the whole firmware (Here) and make sure that you tick the Binary Nature selection on the app (that way, you will get 5 files instead of one and you can completely remove the EGY csc)

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the EGY CSC. What is this exactly? Under software information I see under service provider is EGY/EGY/EGY. I do have straight talk up and running just fine on my S8 using the ATT network, everything works as it should right now.
I'll be sure to have my SIM card removed when flashing in odin and rebooting the 1st time. As of right now, I'm downloading the file from sammobile, the zip file which they say to extract and flash in odin.
I checked that link you sent and found the russian one with the SER region selected and clicked binary nature. So should I not flash the file from Sammobile with odin and use the the link you sent instead?
The tool downloaded the 5 files you said, I have a HOME_CSC file, CSS_OXM... , CP, BL, and AP files. They are all md5 files. So you're saying I should flash these in odin instead of the single file from Sammobile?
Im good at rooting phones and stuff, but only when following guides. The "behind the scenes" stuff I'm not good at since I don't program. This one I'm not rooting right away, just want to do this to try and get rid of the egypt stuff and muslim calendar things.
Heres what I have. It shows 4 places to flash though. The AP, BL, and CP seem straightforward using the files downloaded, but which one of the top 2 files goes in the CSC part?

The single file from Sammobile wont help you to remove all the muslim stuff from your phone. On the other hand, a 5-"pack" firmware will debloat your phone completely.
Just put the BL file to the BL option in Odin
AP file to AP option
CP file to CP option
and CSC (NOT HOME_CSC) at the CSC file
Also make sure that you have "extracted" from the CSC .tar.md5 the pit (Just open it with WinRaR and extract the .pit file)
After doing that, open the pit section on the Odin and selete the pit file that you just extracted

Thank you. This all worked perfectly. Did every option. Phone is back up and running just fine, Latest software and security patches are installed.
Sadly, the ramadan and muslim dates are still there, still shows EGY under service provider SW version. I guess I'll just have to accept this and can't get rid of it.

Hello t-shock I'm hoping you'll see this, but I ordered me a Russian Sim card on ebay so I can change to the SER hopefully. Would I follow the same steps again? You did say make sure not to have my Sim card in when booting for the first time, but wouldn't I want to have it in so it can read it and hopefully change? Since when I did it with no Sim cars inserted, it didn't change. Now I'm trying to change my csc to get Samsung pay to work, and it looks like it should on Russian phones since its been released there.
I've tried everything else and I can't even pull up the multi csc menu, even though it shows EGY should be part of the multi csc pack.

Hi
Put the Sim on the phone and repeat the step that I have said.
But make sure that you use the pit file and also the csc (not home_csc)
Were you able to get rid of EGY? I'm in the same boat.
I think you should flash multi-CSC firmware that contains CSC you want to get. I have NEE/NEE/XSG, no muslim stuff. OXM firmware.
As I have had same satuition. EGY is included in Multi-CSC OXM, you can't change CSC by odin flashing another Multi-CSC OXM firmware.
I tried flash VD2(Germany Vodafone) then it became VD2/VD2/EGY but if I flash other CSC included in Multi-CSC OXM, it go back to EGY/EGY/EGY. I'm gonna just root my phone now.
I got my phone from Dubai, inserted finnish SIM card and turned on the phone. It automatically changed CSCs to NEE, which is correct for me.

I'm waiting on my Russian Sim card to come in the mail, then I will try to change to the SER csc, which Samsung pay should work for. Hoping it changes. Apparently from reading above, if you have a multi csc like the EGY I have, you can't flash another one. That's why when I initially flashed the SER csc through Odin, in a multi part file, it didn't change. HOPING it will change when I get my Russian Sim card.

Can you clarify please? I'm assuming you had EGY csc also. Is that why when I flash SER csc (Russian) it didn't change anything? But VD2 is not multi csc package and that's why it changed? I don't really care what firmware I'm on now as long Samsung pay will work and it doesn't have all the bloat ware. I was told Russian software has some of the least bloat. Will changing my Sim card change the csc?

Try a different download...Sprint firmware flashed fine on unlocked version
I was able to get it to flash onto my unlocked by enabling only UMS/PATCH in Odin, not USERDATA, and after I had let the unlocked firmware provision the device with a T-Mobile SIM.
Also, I have the latest T-Mobile firmware if someone can get me somewhere to upload it. Downloaded it using Smart Switch this morning. N950USQU1AQI5

As for uploading, if you have a google drive account, you should be able to upload it there and then make the file public. That or MEGA should work just fine.
Do you have a short guide of how you flashed the tmobile firmware?

I tried making a thread with the download link to the new firmware but I don't have enough posts to do so.
Here's a Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2hgX_SwidPzcEhIWDJ1ZGRRbjQ
In terms of flashing, I put my T-Mobile SIM into the device with unlocked firmware and let it provision (it, oddly, took about a half hour before mine did, but it should have been instant). After it reboots after provisioning I boot into download mode. I used Prince's Odin and in the ini file I changed UMS/PATCH=0 to UMS/PATCH=1. Start Odin, connect phone (in download mode) select the 5 files with the appropriate button but select USERDATA with the UMS button. Start, wait, reboot, viola.

I m trying to understand each step:
Insert the TMO sim into the unlocked Note8 (bought from Samsung).
Let the phone runs its course until it reboots (could take some time).
Boot the phone into the download mode.
Open Prince's Odin and change UMS/PATCH=0 to UMS/PATCH=1. Do you make the change in the Odin3.ini?
After the change, Start Odin and connect the phone which is already in the download mode.
Select the 5 files with the appropriate buttons (which files and which buttons?)
Select USERDATA with the UMS button (is that the USM/PATCH=1?).
Start the process and the phone runs its course until it finishes.
Am I correct? Is there a chance you can post the screenshots?
I have the unlocked one from Samsung and want to use it with Tmobile firmware to take advantage of all its features.
TIA

Choice is CSC or HOME_CSC. Success will vary depending on previous firmware and/or phone data.

Worked perfectly with HOME_CSC and all the other files in zip without USERDATA or CSC. Thanks for this!

Not sure if you can flash with a stock odin or not. But this firmware will work fine on any snapdragon g950u/g950u1 phones.

I have tried flashing an unlocked Samsung S8 with the above Verizon firmware but I am running into a problem. I set up to flash the BL, AP, CP and HOME_CSC files and Odin begins the process but hangs for many minutes at "Setup Connection", and then eventually states FAIL for reprogramming. It knows the phone is connected and "added" on the right COM port but will not flash. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help, a lot!!!!! I am running Odin3 v3.13

I was enabling USB debug in developer mode but when I went into download mode it would not work. Apparently I am fat fingered and deselected USB debugging so no usable connection. Once got that done used ¡BBB! Odin patched (THANK YOU SIR!!!!!!!!) and loaded the files above. Reflashed and rebooted in a few minutes, got PASS out of Odin and phone booted up just fine. Now I am able to enable the Advanced Calling feature which I sorely needed living in a lousy reception cell zone area. Thanks all for the work you put in, it is most appreciated!

Is there a newer version to this? I am currently trying to flash my S8 back to stock after failing to root it (I didnt realize rooting on this phone was blocked). I keep getting the following error: SW Rev Check Fail: [abl]Fused 3 > Binary 2.
Please help!

It sounds like you are trying to flash a version 2 bootloader when you already have a version 3 BL installed. You need to find an updated ROM that has the version 3 BL.

I actually managed to fix it. I ended up using an ATT file set? And that worked perfectly fine for me.

Glad you figured it out,
I read that I can install the firmeware of sm-935U in my sm-935V, but when i enter in sammobile page ,there is a huge list of 935U firmeware, wich of those do i have to select to work fine in my phone
If you look at the numbers they are all the same.
Just be sure to flash the CSC fine and not the Home_CSC one when changing the firmware. Remove all the google users first too. All your apps will be deleted.

How do I know whic CSC im downloading , cause there is only 2 options, PDA and CSS, and the other doubt I have, wich version of odin is usefull to install the rom?
It's just one zip file. Get the latest one (from 04/2019)... like this one for PDA G935UUES9CSC2 and CSC G935UOYM9CSC2:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935U/VZW/download/G935UUES9CSC2/265864/
Extract before using Odin.

I did a similar flash but didn't remove google users. The factory reset protection messages appeared, I entered credentials, and things started reloading. What else did the factory reset protection do that I don't what it to do?
