I’m looking for an App Lock that can lock the settings icon as well as many other icons on my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Would anyone know of such an app lock? I have tried several already and I haven’t found one that works for the settings icon.

You can't use some lock screen widgets if you have a security lock screen thanks to Samsung being weird and annoying. Plus they removed the quick launch camera lock screen with their silly app matrix.
If you just use the slide to unlock feature then slide your finger from the top down and then left or right and you'll have the option of adding more.
You first have to enable them in the settings. Also you can enable quick camera instead of using the app matrix, you'll find that in the same place.... Main settings---> lockscreen ---> check the multiple widgets box. Tap the next box down to configure the quick launch camera as default instead of the app matrix should you choose.
I just bought a new galaxy note 3, and while customizing I noticed the following options r not available even though its present in other galaxy devices:
Unable to hide an app in the app drawer
Unable to create a setting shortcut (tethering) from the widget menu
Unable to have app shortcuts in lock screen with pattern lock enabled
If there is a way to enable these option, please share.
Bump!
hello everyone, my name is opey i'm kinda new to the whole Samsung galaxy s4. I'm on 4.3 right now and i want to be able to use a cam lockscreen widget so i can have quick access to my cam. I can't figure out how to get the widget to my lock screen. can anyone help me out with this?
Well I don't have my phone nearby. But I think the option is at on the second tab on the settings screen. I think it's called my device. And in there is option of lock screen and there you need to check option for enable lock screen widget.

Hy.
Some of the Samsung S5 have a Camera Shortcut on the original Lockscreen and some not.
Has anyone an Idea to activate this feature on the Phone who not have this feature?
I have 2 different Customer.xml here, one with and one without the camera-button on lockscreen.
But I can´t find anything to switch this feature on/off.
Now I know that the key-feature will be in the build.prop.
Does anyone know what I´m searching for?
I what version are u running? I got SM-G900I Australia version. So I flashed Taiwan version instead which has camera on lockscreen then flashed Australian modem

Hi, just to know if you found a solution to activate the camera shortcut on the lockscreen.
The solution is: delete the "customer.xml"
After Restart the phone, the customer.xml will restored by the system and you find the Camera Button on the lockscreen.
Moving from a Note 2 to Note 4 is a joy in terms of the upgrade to the features. One feature that I miss though is the ability to have shortcuts to applications right on the lock screen. This allows one to access the app from the lock screen with a single swipe. Unfortunately it seems like in the Note 4, such a shortcut is only available for the camera. Grateful if anyone can enlighten on how the app shorcut feature can be implemented in the Note 4!

I've been wondering the same thing. I can't think of a single reason that they would get rid of the shortcuts. I even tried the module on the Xposed framework that fixed the shortcuts for the S5 but that didn't work either. I'm really looking forward to a fix.
The best thing is that it seems like you get more shortcuts when you have the S View Cover on. You'll be able to access heart beat sensor, torchlight etc. Maybe it's a marketing gimmick to get people to buy the cover
