[Q] Difference in 6Ps between US and Arabic countries?

Hello. I was going to pick up a 6P when I get back to the states, as I'm in the middle east. I was wondering if there's any known difference between the phones if I purchased it here instead?

Most likely you'd get an International version if you purchased it overseas; the Intl' version would be incompatible with many LTE bands stateside.

Buy a Samsung phone from another region (aXXXy)

Hi,
I'm interested in buying a A3 (2017) phone.
The model sold in my country (France and rest of Europe) is the a320f, however I may go to Canada next year and I want a device compatible with LTE bands from Europe and Canada. The model a320y sold in Asia and Australia is the same as a320f, except it supports a few more bands (not less), including the ones I need for Canada.
Did one of you manage to buy a different model from a shop? Do you think some shops will be able to ask Samsung to send them a different model? Otherwise, did one of you succeed in importing from other region, for not too expensive, and where did you buy it? I would like to think of importing as a last solution since there will be double tax + shipping costs…

Unfortunately, this website only ships within the USA.
Plus, 400 USD + shipping + border taxes is high, considering it costs 330€ in France

Is there any place to buy the A320Y? When I contacted them, welectronics said they are selling the A320F. Only markets I have come across selling A320Y so far are Chile, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand and New Zealand. I haven't found a source to get one in the US though. I really wanted this phone for its size but if I am not able to get the A320Y I may just go for the S7 after the S8 is released.

*Also don´t forget that sometimes the Data Bands change depending in the carrier!*

Hi to All,
I too am trying to get the famous A320Y model. It is obviously better, not only in Canada but in France too because one of the major operators, Free, is developing the LTE 4G band 28(700) which is not on the A320F models.
I contacted Samsung in France and they simply said that only the A320F is available in France and that it would not be possible to get the A320Y.
I have seen some A320Y models on sale in NZ but not in Australia. They seem to be available in Vietnam but I don't speak Vietnamese and I suspect it would be difficult to buy them without some knowledge.
The 320Y I saw on NZ sites was not the dual sim model that I want.
Any more information on this would be most welcome.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Any difference between UK and EU versions?

Hi,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that was advertised for sale with the UK's SM-G935FZDABTU model number.
During the initial set-up of the phone I was invited to logon to my Samsung account, which I did.
When I later visited the Samsung website, I found the phone I had been sold had the model number SM-G935FEDAATO instead of the standard UK one.
I've been unable to find the specifications of the phone I have other than the fact that it is available in several European countries, particularly - if Google search results are anything to go by - in Austria.
I got the phone for a good price and want to keep it if I can. On the other hand, I would like to know what comprises I'll be making if I do so.
Can anyone give me an idea of what the differences between the UK and EU versions of the S7 Edge are likely to be?

There shouldnt be any differences between all eu models. Mine is bought in Germany and is running UK BTU firmware. If it runs exynos proc. Then its eu model because snapdragon is for usa only as im aware.

New motherboard

So my motherboard is toast (yes, I'm positive) and I'm shopping around for a used one. Since I'm pretty sure all versions of the S8 use the same internal layout & connectors I can probably put any version motherboard in as its replacement.
That being said, which model motherboard would be my best bet for the following:
-Must support T Mobile USA (all the bands they utilize) if unlocked
-Has the best ROM support
a third bonus would be having great worldwide band support since I travel, given it's already covered my first requirement (having all t mo band support).

Well your kinda hindered a little bit because you have to go for the snapdragon variant of the board.
There is root but there are issues with it, and as far as I know not many people are developing roms for the snapdragon variant.
Also the snapdragon variant probably isn't going to work world wide, just like the exynos version doesn't support American bands, the US variant won't work in European countries

Are you sure they aren't pin compatible? I'd be somewhat surprised if Samsung actually had two board produced (but maybe). If this is confirmed by teardown or whatever then thanks for the info

Hello motherboard issue here
I have a s8+ G955FD international version, apparently my motherboard died when i was charging my phone, somebody told me that i have to replace the motherboard but looking online the "FD" version it's very hard to find and also very expensive, any recomendations that i can do, can i replace it with a diferent version of the motherboard or i have to stay with the "FD" version?

I have a bad S8 plus board and my friend has a working one but it's S8 not Plus....can I use S8 board to replace S8 plus ?

Couple of questions regarding S975(F) model

Greetings.
The international model of the S10+ is (S975)F but the 975F is shown to be for different countries. For example: in B&H they have the Latin America version and (they used to, don't carry it any more) the "International" version. Both carried SM-975F mode.
Does anyone know what is the difference between the Latin America and International models? 3G and 4G LTE bands are identical in both models and both come with the Exynos 9820, so why is one "Latin version" and another International?
Also, in various places, the weight of the S10+ is 198 grams; in the Samsung web site it is 175 grams with an asterisk next to it but without further explanation. In gsmarena.com it is 175/198 gram, again without any explanation.
Does anyone know what is the actual weight?

Are you sure the model number is exactly the same for the Latin American and international models?
If that's actually correct then those two varients probably run slightly different firmware.

They are both S975F, could be slight variation after the 'F' (as oppose to N. America version which is 975U for example).

It looks like you are comparing the same phone in different colors.
I had a Latin American Mix 3 and the only difference between it and the international version was that the packaging was in Spanish instead of English. Otherwise it was exactly the same phone with the same model number and specs.
If you see a Latin American S10+ with the same model number as the international version then it's the same phone--with the Latin American model the packaging might be in Spanish and it might come with a different wall adapter for charging than the international.

I've been a MintSim/Mint Mobile customer for 5 years. I read that they were going to start offering phones but forgot all about it.
It's interesting that they are offering the Exynos model. It's cheaper but they are probably dealing with an international distributor rather than directly with Samsung because Samsung can't sell the Exynos model in the United States.
Unless that's a different Mint Mobile outside the US.

Indeed the two phones in the comparison chart are different colors simply because they don't show same color of both Latin and International (they sold the International version up until last Friday but for some reason discontinued; "no longer able to source it" is the official response from the store), but other than the 4-letter color in the model #, it looks like the same exact phone:
This is the Latin model - MFR # SM-G975FDSBLK
and this is the International model - MFR # SM-G975FDGBLU
Both dual sim, 128GB S10+ phones and as you could see in the specs they are identical.
The Mint Mobile is a 3-months 8gb free sim card that is included with the phone.

The last 3 digits are the colors (black & blue) and the digit before that must be the region the set was intended for sale in (South America & Global).
They are the exact same phone packaged differently for different regions. It's also possible the setup screen for the South American version defaults to Spanish before you choose English as your preferred language.
For your purposes there should be no difference whichever one you buy.
