Is there any way to get updates earlier? maybe VPN to India? My A51 is very laggy still.

You can always download the latest firmware from sammobile.com and flash it using Odin

Not Receiving Updates Redmi 4 Prime

Whenever I check for updates, I always get that no updates are available, even though I've seen others with the same model or similar (Note 4 for example) receive recent updates.. what's the issue?

Cool, but the one drawback is that if you use Good Lock, some of the modules will not be functional.
Yes. Good Lock modules need to be updated in order to support One UI 5.
