Problems with Always on Display / Mi9T / All of custom rom - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hi,
my Mi9T dont display AOD. When i had xiaomi.eu lastest version it's working very good, but on any custom rom ( like pixel+, paranoid) AOD doesn't work.
In settings i enabled all of setting about AOD, on PE+, Paranoid, Havoc. How i can resolve it? ( without back to miui )

Try Bliss ROM, it's a very nice ROM and AOD is perfectly working.

Could be ported from mi5 and maybe forget to change build. prop?
Edit: i tried this one, indeed the device name is : Mi5, but like i allready thought, change build.prop is the solution to change to Mi5s
The rom isnt multilang, its the same as global rom, so limited languages...
For me it was impossible to use shealth with gear fit 2 manager, gear fit 2 keeps FC all the time for me
But it was android 7 indeed..
will post screen later

About to flash. Will report back
Thank you
Did you try it? Any issues?
Sorry, not luck. I followed the usual procedures and it failed when flashing in TWRP.
I'm at work now
Will be trying again later tonight.
It's not seemingly. It's the official release of Lineage OS for the MIX

Hello ,
Working great so far ,
but I needed to flash Magisk because LOS
integrated Root seems not to work for me.
I've installed all my apps and no probs .
mfg , hjf :good:
b.t.w. comming from RR and did a format before installing.
Don't forget to unmark readonly in mount.
I'm using this since yesterday, everything seems to work so far. Including double tap to wake and fingerprint.
I flashed from MIUI EU ROM 7.4.27 (Android 6), wiped Cache, System and Data in TWRP and flashed lineage.zip followed by opengapps.zip.
As root solution I'm using magisk 12.0 and the Xiaomi SafetyNet Fix Module, passing safetynet.
Had to flash a different twrp.img for touch to work in recovery too.
I made a backup of RR O606 , flashed this rom based on N 7.1. 2 , flashed latest gapps, flashed SuperSU instead of Magisk. All is fine so far ...using as a daily phone...smooth fast without hiccups ...Let s see if this nightly or weekly...
Well it works. Great news indeed.

Sorry if I've broken the rules but an official release is both news and development. I don't want to annoy the community so if mods feel the need, please close the thread.

Thank you for informing us this good news ! this rom is excellent for daily use, stable, and good battery : we don t have to fight any more for the double tap, overheating and many annoying thinks such as screen gets dark , echo with loudspeaker and so on...and we have as genuine 7.1.2 on MI MIX !
Flashed the rom, works great but I can't find the fingerprint setting, anyone knows if I missed something?

I'm still having the speakerphone echo problem with this Rom. I didnt expect it to be any different from RR Rom. If papps can't fix it, any aosp rom will have the same issue.

No never had the problem, something like flash dev, set up fingerprint reinstall twrp, then you should be good to go. Think there is a guide somewhere on RR. Have to be careful you don't relock bootloader, when using mi flash, there is an option somewhere in miflash. Find a guide. Edit: something like this
rappa619 said:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash fastboot version of China dev rom using mi flash tool
3. Register your fingerprint in that rom
4. Flash twrp from fastboot
5. In TWRP go to advanced wipe, wipe system, data, both caches. Then press back and factory reset/format data to remove encryption
6. Flash this rom + gapps + magisk 12
7. Reboot, install magisk manager.
8. Disable busybox in magisk manager.

Rom based on 7.0?

PSA: The project treble generic build of lineage OS works great on the Honor 7x.

The only things broken are live display and auto brightness. Here's the link: THREAD
Pretty impresive for a generic image. Our Android phones are becoming like PCs.
Edit: Nothing is broken in v4.

No need for TWRP I believe, fastboot will suffice. Also the phone has the A-only partition type, not A-B.

Can i install Huawei camera? it works with the dual camera for bokeh effect right?

Unlock the bootloader, factory reset from recovery, flash system image from fastboot, factory reset from recovery, then reboot. Also make sure that you have upgraded to EMUI 8 / Android 8. I only tested the stock GSI.
So I've been testing this for awhile. I can't find anything broken. Plus the live display and auto brightness features are fixed in v4. I don't have Bluetooth headphones to test that but I did test a Bluetooth controller and it works fine. It's worth noting that the openkirin team are working on this rom (or at least their patches get merged in) so it probably has newer patches and fixes that aren't in the ROMs on this forum.

One more thing. If you have a slow LTE connection, you can fix that by installing kernel auditor and setting the TCP mode to Reno. Then it'll be back to full speed. (In misc.)

How is performance vs stock EMUI? I'd be interested on how this hardware performs without the extra skin on top.

EDIT: Do not forget to create a backup of your data, using Google Backup by example.
If you want MIUI Dialer (and others things in China ROM) without bloatwares of the China ROM, install Stable or Weekly xiaomi.eu ROM.
You need an unlocked bootloader and install latest Official TWRP version (3.4.0-0).
Then you need to "Format Data" in TWRP (in "Wipe" menu) > Go in "Reboot" menu and select "Recovery" > Put ROM file (zip) in internal storage of the phone via USB and install it. Done! You can reboot your phone and wait a bit during the first boot.
