Super fast phone.
Face unlock works blazingly fast. On par with an iPhone.
No Samsung, not even note 20 ultra even comes close..

Everything I've tried is almost instant. The camera can take burst photos with no lag. I can switch to other apps. I've hammered it out and about doing music, photos, videos, night photography, random wireless connections when I stopped off at bars far and few between. I applied themes, I changed settings, I toyed with new widgets and apps, I edited photos for Instagram and switched to upload them
It never lagged for a split second. I don't play games on mobile but I'm starting to think about it.

I went absolutely insane with the camera yesterday and after like 200 burst shot photos in a short span, something made the camera app freeze up and say "camera unavailable" or something along those lines. Force stopped it and it was fine ever since.
Other than that, zero issues.

As I have had several samsung devices, S3, Note3, Note4, Note7 and now a Note 8, I feel at home with samsung's way
The camera app is nice. It does the trendy background blurring pretty well, switches between cameras and lenses smoothly, and encodes HDR pretty quickly. I only have a single complaint: If you record 4K video, it just turns off after 10 minutes. There was no warning on the screen that this would happen. No warning in the box. Nothing. There wasn't even a single beep or ding to tell me it stopped, so I could walk over and re-start it! I just missed about 40 minutes of irreplaceable video that I'll never have, because apparently Samsung just decided to implement this arbitrary limit in their camera app. Meanwhile, my friend with an old Nokia Lumia 950XL is recording 45 minutes of 4k video without a single hitch, without overheating. No problem at all for the old Windows Phone from a few years back! So, that's the biggest ugly mark on this otherwise great phone, about one week in (SM-N950f Exynos).

Generally fine, I'm don't play games on my phone so I don't need anything too incredible. Launching apps is a little slower than the Axon 7, but not terrible. The main thing that's been noticeable is sometimes hitting a button (mainly noticed it with the back button) it won't seem to register it, which I assume is an issue with the processor/memory and not the screen. It's only happened once or twice when I launch something on accident and want to get out of it, which makes me think there's latency while it loads and inputs aren't getting caught like they should.
Sluggish in apps that require speed. In normal tasks such as podcasts, youtube, productivity, maps, no issues.

Actually more than fast , I was thinking bad about colour is but it's as good as miui ... I haven't faced a single lag with 10 or more apps on the background ... I must say they really optimised it great ... I have played pubg in high settings it's just mind boggling not starters no lags so far ... Review after a full day use
Ni its not fast as daily driver compared to miui and stock rom
Great for daily use. Color os have "high performance"(antutu: 172K) mode for you, but the normal mode is enough for me(antutu:157K)

yes, I never thought about realme 3pro would compete with red mi note 7 pro, but this is outstanding in terms of gaming, battery backup, daily usage.
the only thing bothers me is its COLOR OS... yes, and i am eagerly waiting for a good custom rom for this device. i hope we would get this soon.

Time to take picture (camera launch speed)

It's pretty good!
I think the camera speed is average. Don't get me wrong - I love the OnePlus 7 Pro's camera('s), but there are some things related to the camera speed which aren't on par with other phones (flagships). The stock camera app takes about 1 - 1.5 seconds to open, which is not bad at all and is not my problem. The only issue I have is with the shutter speed: it takes just a 'millisecond' more to 'click' than I'd like it to. This doesn't stop me from taking photographs of high quality, but I have noticed that when I'm taking a selfie and I can't hold it still enough, it just has this annoying blur. Not too much to absolutely ruin, the picture, but it's there and noticeable. That being said, I wouldn't want to get another phone at all - I love it and the camera's on it, and the blur can absolutely be avoided by just not moving at all, even though that is hard to do and some phones do a better job of avoiding it.
I'm happy with the speed. I use the double press power button feature and the camera is open very fast.

I've noticed this on the stock camera app, Gcam works way better in this situation though, so it's a software issue

App launch speed

OMG! Kim K posted another selfie with tons of cleavage! Rate this thread to express how quickly apps launch on the Moto G Power. A higher rating indicates that even the most intensive apps launch quickly and without hesitation, even if they are no longer in RAM.

Its not super quick but it isn't super slow either. Youtube takes about 2 seconds to load up fully (that's on my slow wifi), google maps about 1 second, that's to a fully functional state on both. Messaging apps are half a second if that. It's pretty much budget device speeds, just a tad bit quicker. Nothing laggy though.
Comparing to Poco F1 with Miui 11 or even with LOS 16 - there is a slight differance however it really depends. After using F1 for aobut 13 months Moto G8 Power gives me about 80 - 90% of the same feel of performance and in most cases it is easy to miss the which is quicker for me.
It's a little leap over G7.
It can handle 1080p60 YouTube well
