I'd like to upgrade my Chinese (BMW E90) headunit with a custom ROM. My standard ROM is not allowing backgroundtasks, accept those who are installed from factory. Please help me identify my unit en maybe someone could give me some advise for the best custom ROM to use?
It runs Android 8.1, has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

This system of this HU is not good, plan to root and install new ROM.
But the MCU is not as it has here, need advice what ROM is suitable for this HU.

hi i have a unit with MCU 860SoftACC_CHHWY_A001 android 6.0.1 2 gb ram 32 gb memory,and i install Rom Manager and i select Recovery option the unit make a restart and then came my problem ,i have the firmware of the seller i install and after finsh the same problem nothing fix.if want to help , i have photo

I bought a car which comes with and OEM android unit running version 4.4.2. There is APK loader app already installed on it. I just want it to run a custom ROM which supports Android Auto, that's it.
Where do I start?
