i used this mobile gor 6 years with twrp, unlocked bootloader and android 4.4.4
no i upgraded to 5.0.2, everything works fine, but to install twrp and root i have to unlock the bootloader, but by doing so i cannot chasrge the mobile anymore
also, if connected to a computer it does not connect
its like the usb port gets disabled by the unlocked bootloader
can anyone help?

I have a VNS-L21 with the stock 6.0. I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and rooted my phone. Since the 7.0 is coming very soon, I want to go back to stock so that when the update comes I can safely install it through OTA. I've heard people bricking their devices by updating a rooted device and I don't want that.
Try flashing stock B160 rom if that doesn't relock bootloader then download srktool (if haven't) install connect your phone to pc choose bootloader and choose relock type Y type your bootloader code in (you have one right? Its unlocked should have) type Y again and wait for the process to finish the only draw back of this method that your phone might say relocked not locked which means it was unlocked but if you turn oem of in your phone setting it should say locked (if im right) but theres methods to make your phone show locked but it might actually already show that its locked not relocked hope it helps

I got my hands on a P9 lite running nougat, not locked to any mobile network.
I want to root it, and followed some threads on here to make this happen. I managed to unlock the bootloader, and transfered TWRP img on the device. Next step would be to reboot in recovery mod to flash it, but said recovery mode only give me the option to connect to wifi/a server.
eMUI 5.1 is running on the device as far as I know. I'm quite probably missing something here, anyone could point me in the right direction?
Dev mode activated, USB debug mode on, OEM unblocked, bootloader unlocked. Next and final step is to transfer the img locally, restart in recovery to then flash it. But no no, too simple

Hi guys this is a strange issue, i was on omni rom 8.1, (unlocked bootloader, got my ta backup) and i though i just go back to stock, i flashed stock oreo 8.0 34.4.A.2.32, when i try to flash boot_32.img i got a bootloop, and i cant enter fastboot because light turns green, SOmmc flash device shows up in device manager, but i can easily flash any firmware i want with flashtool.pc companion says i cant fix firmware because of unlocked bootloader. Need a little help here :/ i can go back to omnirom 8.1 which i dont really like yet or to stock rom but with bad camera....
p.s i can easily enter fastboot through: adb reboot bootloader ... but i need to get to fastboot with phone already off to root. i tried different adb fastboot drivers, disable drivers signature, nothing works much...
Can i somehow flash tabackup.img without fastboot and root on stock oreo?
Edit: managed to get to fastboot.... it was volume up on my device somehow................

I updated my rooted Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL from Android 6 to Oreo (Had to update to 7 and 7.something). While it wasn't rooted after the update, the hotspot worked great (also worked on rooted MM), but after it simply won't work. I tried copying the mobile data for the hotspot and carrier, to no success. I can connect to the wifi my phone creates but it shows as limited and I have no access to internet. I read that turning off debugger mode would help, and it did, one single time, after that it won't work again.
The process I used to root was:
Unlock bootloader:
Which is from a post from here
fastboot flash config frp.bin
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem unlock-go
Install TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-X00D-20171020-5), which was the latest supported I found (and worked great while on MM)
Install Magisk v16.0

Can we root redimi note 7 without using pc or having locked bootloader using phone only???
I've not rooted mine, but to my knowledge... It's impossible for you to root your phone with bootloader locked. And you can't unlock the bootloader without PC.
